They say opposites attract, but Kelly Cole spends most of her time dreaming of wringing one man's neck.
When the calm and serenity of her life is threatened by a loud karate instructor upstairs, Kelly Cole goes on the offensive. With his sexy alpha hero personality, Quinn Maverick isn't budging either which makes working in the same small building difficult.
A widower with a big secret, Quinn becomes Kelly's protector in a few situations, cementing the connection between them but when she finds out what he's hiding, can she forgive him?
When the scars of the past bring out the guilt, can the wounds be healed?
** This is a sweet romance and features no explicit scenes. **
Hey there! Before I tell you all about myself, can I invite you to join my private Rachel's Readers Facebook group? That's where my readers hang out, discuss my books, participate in giveaways and learn about new releases.
So who am I? My name is Rachel Hanna, and I am a wife, mother of three incredible kids (maybe I am a BIT biased?), two lovable doggies and one cat that lives outside and thinks he owns the world. Okay, I also have a gecko now too. Don't judge me.
I started writing as a young child, and I went into the field of Journalism for many years as an adult. Now, as a romantic fiction writer, I get to live out my own daydreams every single day and share them with readers around the world!
I'm a Southern chick living near Atlanta, so I say "yes, ma'm" and "ya'll", but I wouldn't have it any other way. :)
This had a light hearted feel to it, but it also had it's rough moments. TW for house fire, and hoarding, and loss of a loved one. Also brief mention of drug use. I spend through this in a day and it was a very good read. I enjoyed the characters and atmosphere and I definitely am curious about more from the author. 5 ⭐!
I never expect this type of book to be anything but predictable and this book certainly was that. But that's okay by me. What really BUGGED me was the horrible editing by the publisher!!! Almost every page had wrong words, missing words, or sentences that made no sense. Poor editing!!
I tried, I really tried to like this book but could only get half way. If you’re going to write romance, you need to give more than one POV. I just could not get into this book because the only character that felt real was the heroine. Without the guys POV he just felt lackluster and one dimensional. I never got to know the hero.
A faced pace page turner with realistic relationships. The issues of lost love, guilt, betrayals, and deep regrets are woven within this story, chapter by chapter. Hanna addresses the importance of change, giving the reader hopes for a happy ending for fractured characters. This is a feel good read in a world where getting lost in a good novel is satisfying and even healing.
A very good story it is possible to have a great love story but things change myself being a widow after 30 years of marriage have had to learn that life changes and so do people
There are several good life lessons in this book, woven into the fabric of the story. The story itself is fairly pat and predictable, but still a sweet tale. Will I read another? Absolutely! I might add that there are !multiple
What a great story line. I enjoyed reading this book. In fact, one of my favorites for sure. I like all your series but must say this one really kept my interest and couldn’t put this book down. Keep up the great stories. Can’t wait to read book two. I’m so hooked!
But the cover is misleading. I’m assuming this is the main male character Quinn’s home in the mountains is pictured there. The book says though that when Quinn took Kelly to his property, his home was a log cabin. Just wondered?
Kelly Cole has moved to Whiskey Ridge to escape a harrowing childhood. Quinn Maverick is a grieving widower who is also in search of a new start. Kelly finds it very hard to trust after being betrayed repeatedly. Quinn has secrets which might make Kelly find it impossible to forgive him.
This is the first book in the Whiskey Ridge series. At first, I wasn’t sure I was going to like this one. It’s a lot different than her other books I’ve read. In the end, I enjoyed it. The characters are growing on me.
Good read, funny characters and a cute story line. Busted out laughing at the "when you called me a chick I almost body slammed you" line!! Hilarious!!!
