What do you do when you're faced with doing the one thing you never thought you could do, but you have no choice?
When Emmy Moore finds herself back in Whiskey Ridge after over a decade away, the last person she expects to see is Nash Collier. The one man she loved with her full heart. The one man who knew their secret. And the one man who shattered her heart into a million pieces when he drove away all those years ago, leaving her in a plume of orange Georgia clay dust.
And now, she's being required to help him recover from a near fatal accident.
Nursing her own wounds from a failed marriage and her ex-husband stealing her life savings, she feels ill equipped to deal with the feelings she has about Nash and their past together. And she definitely doesn't ever want to see his jackass of a father again. But as with everything in Whiskey Ridge, nothing is as it seems.
Hey there! Before I tell you all about myself, can I invite you to join my private Rachel's Readers Facebook group? That's where my readers hang out, discuss my books, participate in giveaways and learn about new releases.
So who am I? My name is Rachel Hanna, and I am a wife, mother of three incredible kids (maybe I am a BIT biased?), two lovable doggies and one cat that lives outside and thinks he owns the world. Okay, I also have a gecko now too. Don't judge me.
I started writing as a young child, and I went into the field of Journalism for many years as an adult. Now, as a romantic fiction writer, I get to live out my own daydreams every single day and share them with readers around the world!
I'm a Southern chick living near Atlanta, so I say "yes, ma'm" and "ya'll", but I wouldn't have it any other way. :)
Good read but everything happened so fast that I barely could connect with the characters, could barely feel their chemistry. The FMC forgave him so easily and the miscommunication aspect leading to fallout was just not it and I couldn't really understand how they went back from past sweethearts to falling back in love or wanting to get back together again. Also at the start, I noticed that unlike most second chance books, when both of them were returning back to their hometown, their thoughts weren't on facing the memories or confronting their pasts there but more of their current problems which was interesting but then it also made me curious how at the start it was starting off with the FMC and her issues with her ex-husband and thankfully there was no drama from that regard but it was barely relevant or handled and was just brought up towards the end once.
This was a sweet coming home and rekindling a relationship. There was forgiveness, second chances, and love. A rodeo man who had a falling out with his dad and girlfriend. A girl, who lost everything moved away and had a rebound marriage, which fell apart. They meet back home after he is stomped on by a bull. She gets a divorce and is called home to get her mom. Meeting is kismet when he needs physical therapy and she's a physical therapist. More than kismet are thrown around it's more like sparks.
Emmy and Nash used to be high school sweethearts. Their lives took different paths but they ended up in Whiskey Ridge at the same time. Worse yet, she has to help him with physical therapy. The very explosive end of their former relationship still remains unresolved. The ghosts of the past need to be put to rest in order for them to move forward. Aare they strong enough?
When Emmy finds herself back in Whiskey Ridge she never expected to see the one person that hurt her and it was Nash Collier. He was back with injury. The sparks don't fly at first, but they finally get together. She has secrets of her own and her mom being a little crazy moves back with her. There are more to the story and you need to read to find out.
This is yet another enjoyable, easy read from Rachel Hanna. The characters are very likable and people you would want to be friends with. They face real life challenges, like a husband who mucks up all the financials and leaves for a younger woman, or a guy who has a career ending injury and ends up back at home trying to figure out what’s next.
This was one of those romances that was heart touching funny a lil sad but it was great. From start to finish I could not stop reading it. A true true sweet romance with out all the smut.
Addicted to this author's different series..Great for the beach here in Middletown RI..easy read and holds your interest, with a sprinkle of humor throughout... I did like Emmy's mother, rather eccentric and funny. O
Again Rachel, loved the story line and of course the ending. Keep the books coming. Seriously, I’ve enjoyed everyone of them in this series and the others.
Good read, this author writes sweet and endearing love stories. I like that her heroines always find a way to get past their bad decisions and find true love.
I always lo e happy endings. It's sad that Emmy and Nash lost their baby girl.
This story is based on mistakes made in the past but people hopefully learn from their mistakes and move forward. Unfortunately 'too many costly mistakes were made and the only one that didn' t apologize was ex husband Steve.
