I'm a huge fan of Lee; however, this book left some to be desired.

I normally read her books as ARCs, so typos don't bother me, but this one I purchased after release and was disappointed in how many mistakes I caught that would've been easy to catch and fix. It would've benefited from another pass through by the author or editor.

Also, there were some moments where the mystery of the story had me a bit confused.

There were still some moments I enjoyed. Seeing Belle and Smith as parents and of course, their sexy times, one of which had Belle dominating Smith, to an extent. That was sexy af.

Such a great book. I absolutely LOVE Belle and Smith. There were so many things that I loved in this book. Drama, suspense, plot twists, some pretty hot sex scenes. But the two that constantly stand out in this series is love for family and love for friends.

As much as Belle knew something was wrong, she still leaned on Smith and trusted him to take care of her and Penny. She leaned on Edward. She started to see Georgia in a different light. Clara made an appearance which I was happy about.

Smith is trying to handle things on his own and he's frustrated with Georgia for calling in Alexandar and Brex. But he realizes that he needs any and all help he can. We also see Smith and Alexandar finally acknowledge that they are truly friends and they will both always be there for each other and their families.

I'm so glad we had a couple of moments with Edward and his family: Clara and Alexandar. They were at separate times, but I got a tear in my eye each time.

The only thing I'm sad about is there wasn't an epilogue. I've gotten so invested in these characters: Clara, Alexandar (X), Edward, Smith, and Belle. And I felt like the ending while it was a HEA, it was rather abrupt. I wanted more. More closure. Just more.

Hands down one of my favorite series!

First of all, I was so happy when I received the Advanced Reader’s Copy because I was losing my mind over the cliffhanger from BREATHE ME! I devoured this book in one day! I just couldn’t stop! I needed the answers to the questions from Breathe Me. Break Me had everything I needed!! Just when I thought I knew what was going on....NOPE! Even more twists and turns that had me yelling out loud! Geneva bringing even more spice to those sexy scenes🥵😜🙈🔥🔥🔥🔥This book was so good and even better than BREATHE ME!!! I love Smith and Belle so much! I want more of them going forward!! Please pretty please?!

This book is absolutely amazing and everything you expect from this series.You need to read Breathe Me first too before diving I to Break Me. Smith and Belle have such an love for family and friends and I loved that so much There is suspense and twist and turns and drama But there's also these moments that will set your kindle on fire. I so not want to give a thing away but this book is so woth the wait. Now ill wait patiently for Geneva Lee's next book I might be slightly addicted.

Obwohl ich nach dem elften Band mehr und mehr genervt von der schier unendlichen ROYAL-Reihe war, konnte ich doch nicht umhin zu wissen, wie Belles und Smith' Geschichte endet.

Band 12 knüpft direkt an den Vorgänger an,
und führt die dramatischen Ereignisse und Geschehnisse weiter.
Dieses Mal konnte mich die Handlung wieder mehr fesseln,
obwohl manches ebenso an den Haaren herbeigezogen war, wie zuvor.

Doch die Hoffnung und die Aussicht auf ein Happy End für Belle, Smith und die kleine Penny hielten mich bei Laune.

Der zwölfte und für mich nun definitiv letzte Teil der Reihe, hat mich doch wieder etwas mit eben dieser versöhnt.
Doch man kommt nicht umhin zu bemerken, dass die Luft raus ist, und Handlungsstränge ins Unendliche geführt werden.
Wer jedoch den elften Band der Reihe gelesen hat,
kommt an den 12. Band definitiv nicht vorbei!
Eine tragische und ergreifende, aber ebenso lohnenswerte Fortsetzung!

Der Schreibstil der Autorin ist total flüssig, liest sich super und ist sehr leicht verständlich.

Ich fande alle Charaktere von Anfang an total sympathisch und liebenswert. Des weiteren gibt es noch ein paar andere Charaktere. . Meiner Meinung nach sind alle Charakter sehr gelungen und haben einen sehr guten Platz im Buch bekommen.

Mir hat der zwölfte Band der Royals-Saga „ Royal Flames“ von Geneva Lee richtig gut gefallen. Aber bei diesem Buch würde ich schon sehr stark empfehlen, die richtige Reihenfolge beim Lesen einzuhalten, sonst weiß man nicht was passiert bzw man versteht das Buch nicht. In diesem Buch geht es um Belle und Smith. Die beiden sind mir von Anfang an schon sehr sympathisch und authentisch gewesen. Die Story an sich fande ich sehr spannend und gut geschrieben. Ich persönlich mag einfach den Schreibstil und die ganze Art und Weise von der Autorin. Deshalb bin ich nur so durch das Buch geflogen, weil ich es so spannend fande. Ok das Buch hatte ja auch nur knapp 300 Seiten und dann geht das recht fix. Ich würde mich wahnsinnig freuen, wenn die Reihe weiter geht. Von mir bekommt „ Royal Flames“ deshalb auch sehr verdiente 5 Sterne und eine klare Leseempfehlung.

Fazit:

Eine sehr schöne Liebesgeschichte mit einer dramatischen Geschichte und tollen Hauptprotagonisten.

Meine Meinung:

Jetzt sind wir einfach schon beim 12. Band der Reihe angekommen und ich muss sagen - Ich bin dieser Reihe nach all den Jahren immer noch voll und ganz verfallen. Ich liebe das Setting, die Charaktere und das vertrauliche Gefühl, welches mir die Romane der Autorin verschaffen. An dieser Stelle möchte ich anmerken, dass die Bücher nicht unabhängig voneinander lesbar sind, also bitte lest erst die anderen Teile, da euch die Geschichte sonst nichts sagen wird. Da finde ich auch toll, dass der Verlag auf dem Buchrücken die Buchnummern vermerkt hat, da es dort dann nicht zu Verwechslungen kommen kann.

Inzwischen weiß ich ja, was mich bei den Royal Büchern erwartet und zwar ein heißer, spannender Schreibstil, der mich von Anfang an in seinen Bann zieht. Ich suchte diese Bücher einfach weg und auch hier habe ich eine Seite nach der anderen flüssig weggelesen. Tatsächlich fiel es mir anfangs etwas schwer, wieder in die Geschichte hineinzufinden und mich vor allem an die vorherigen Geschehnisse zu erinnern, aber nach und nach, als immer mehr Hinweise und Erinnerungen kamen, kehrten auch bei mir die ganzen Handlungsstränge wieder ins Gedächtnis zurück.

Uns erwartet hier die Ich-Perspektive, erzählt aus den Sichtweisen der Protagonisten Belle und Smith. Das war auch dringend nötig, denn a) niemand kann Smith widerstehen und b) war man so als Leser in einer allwissenden Position, obwohl man auch dadurch nicht vor Überraschungen geschützt war. Mit etwa 250 Seiten ist das Buch zwar doch etwas kürzer, aber wenn man die Protagonisten so liebt wie ich, dann weiß man, dass auch diese Romane es absolut wert sind, gelesen zu werden. Liebe, Drama und so einige Geheimnisse werden hier an die Leser herangetragen und ich habe es geliebt, erneut in diese Welt abzutauchen. Tatsächlich hoffe ich, dass diese Reihe niemals endet.

Zu den Charakteren kann man eigentlich gar nicht mehr so viel sagen, denn wir kennen sie schließlich schon so einige Zeit. Und so langsam verändern sie sich nicht mehr, obwohl „Royal Danger“ und „Royal Flames“ sich schließlich um Belles Veränderung drehen. Und so war es schön zu sehen, wie sich nach und nach die Situationen auflösen, Gründe erforscht werden und vor allem wie die beiden wieder zueinander finden. Es war für mich wirklich schwer zu lesen, wie sie doch unter der Situation gelitten haben.. aber nichtsdestotrotz immer wieder intime Momente miteinander geteilt haben. Es war ein Hin und Her der Gefühle und ich konnte mich diesem Chaos nicht entziehen.

Das Cover gefällt mir auch wieder sehr, es passt sich toll in die bestehende Reihe ein und spiegelt mit der Farbgestaltung auch den Titel wider.

Intrigen, Leidenschaft und intensive Gefühle - Royal Flames bietet vorerst einen tollen Abschluss einer Reihe, die mir wundervolle Lesestunden verschafft hat. Ich kann euch auch diesen Band nur empfehlen, denn Belles und Smiths Geschichte ist es sowas von wert, gelesen zu werden.

Meinung

Geneva Lee versteht es wie keine zweite einen Wirbelsturm an Emotionen und Gefühlen in ihre Geschichten einzubauen und auch nach nunmehr 12 Bänden ihre Charaktere, ihr Leben und ihre Wege aufrecht zu erhalten, sodass sie immer noch voller Überraschungen steckt.

Belle und Smith haben Höhen und Tiefen erlebt und jeden Augenblick von ihnen machte mich zu einer Vertrauten an ihrer Seite. Jeder Moment schweißte das Band enger zusammen und irgendwann glaubte ich, es gäbe nichts mehr, was ich noch mit ihnen erleben könnte. Irrtum! Ganz großer!

In dieser Story erleben wir die Dunkelheit, welche auch nach Jahren noch von uns Besitz ergreifen kann, in ihren unterschiedlichsten Facetten, aber auch das Leben selbst, welches oftmals Wege geht, die verborgen vor uns liegen und all unsere Stärke, unseren Mut und unsere Kraft fordert.

Es ist unbeschreiblich zu sehen, wie die Autorin den Figuren auch nach so langer Zeit leben einhaucht und es ihnen manchmal verdammt schwer macht. Doch gerade dies ist die bewundernswerte Echtheit und Vielschichtigkeit, die ich so sehr an ihr liebe. Die Ereignisse spitzen sich auf dramatische Weise für die beiden zu und es glich einem Dauer Gänsehaut Feeling, ob der Geschehnisse.

Ich kann hier wirklich kaum ein Wort verlieren, ohne zu Spoilern. Nur so viel sei gesagt: Es geschehen unglaubliche Dinge im Leben der beiden und ich litt unter permanenten Atemstillständen. Die Intensität und das Feuer, die Leidenschaft und Liebe sind noch wie am ersten Tag. Nur sind all diese Dinge gewachsen und ohne jeden Zweifel gewaltiger.

Am Ende bleibt erneut die unstillbare Sehnsucht nach mehr. Mehr Royals. Mehr Belle und Smith.



Fazit

Wenn die Vergangenheit dich einzuholen droht. Wenn Dunkelheit und Schatten jeden Funken Helligkeit verbannen. Belle und Smith zu begleiten ist wie nach Hause kommen und gleichzeitig inmitten eines tobenden Orkans zu stehen. Ihre Geschichte ist gewaltig und birgt so vieles, dass sich irgendwie nie vorher sehen lässt. Geneva Lee in Bestform.

Mein Fazit:

Vorweg sei gesagt, dass es sich bei jeder Rezension um meine persönliche Meinung handelt. Royal Flames bildet vorerst den letzten Teil der Royal Reihe um Belle und Smith. Das Ende vom vorherigen Band hat mich damals bestürzt zurückgelassen. Da schon einige Monate vergangen sind seit ich den Vorgänger gelesen habe, musste ich dennoch einen kurzen Blick in Royal Danger werfen um mich zurechtzufinden. Auch dieses Buch hat mich besonders am Anfang ziemlich deprimiert. Ich bin mir immer noch unschlüssig ob hier nicht vielleicht doch eine Triggerwarnung angebracht gewesen wäre. Auch wenn ich Royal Flames besser fand hat sich Smith bei mir nicht gerade beliebt gemacht. Seine Ausdrucksweise an manchen Stellen empfand ich als sehr unangenehm. Mit Belle habe ich oft gelitten. Einiges war für mich vorhersehbar, sodass es am Ende keine all zu großen Überraschungen gab. Das Ende hätte für mich etwas ausführlicher sein dürfen, da ich gern noch zwei oder drei Fragen beantwortet gehabt hätte. In Hinblick auf meine Bewertung zum vorherigen Band habe ich mich diesmal für 4 Kleeblättchen entschieden, da mir Royal Flames ein kleines bisschen besser gefallen hat. Trotz der Kritikpunkte spreche ich eine Leseempfehlung aus. Ich freue mich auf weitere Bücher der Autorin.

So much is happening in this book, but the author has a wonderful way of tying it all together.

Belle thinks she's going crazy. Frankly, most people around her are wondering the same. This isn't your ‘average’ postpartum depression. But is this a mental health issue, or is their new home haunted?
Speaking of ghosts, Smith is hunting the past of the house he bought to build a new, safe life with Belle and Penny. He is determined to get to the bottom of the mystery and to keep his family safe from harm. As the story unfolds, betrayal is uncovered, and Smith realizes once more – albeit reluctantly – who his allies are. He also learns that he's not protecting Belle by keeping her in the dark.

Despite doubting her own mind and her maternal instincts, Belle stands up for herself and even puts Smith in his place. It's not so much that he was in the wrong as it is that she needs to assert her confidence in their relationship. I liked seeing this part from Smith's point of view, as it shows his understanding of this need. Yes, they're a bit kinky in the bedroom, but this dynamic works for them. Also, it makes for some very steamy scenes.

Throughout the book, I found myself guessing as to the identity of certain mysterious players in the story, and their connections to Smith and Belle. While I stumbled upon the answers to one of those, another completely caught me by surprise. In either case, I was eagerly swiping pages to get to the resolution. This book does not disappoint.

I just hope Smith and Belle can now finally relax and enjoy their young family.

Break Me is the final book in the Royals Saga featuring Smith and Belle. The previous book Breathe Me set up Belle's fragile state of mind, her insecurity in her role as a mother, and her paranoia at Smith keeping secrets from her. Break Me portrays the effects of these feelings and how it influences Belle and Smith's relationship. It just goes to show the power of love and loyalty, because no matter what Belle is feeling, Smith always thinks the best of her, never wants her to put herself down, and will go to devastating lengths to protect her. I felt like this book really focuses on Smith a lot, and as this is the end of the series, it makes sense for Smith to confront his past before he is able to move on. While he's created a life with Belle and he's happy with his new family, there were parts of his past life that he simply pushed aside, especially regarding the people that were in his life when he was cold and empty. A part of being able to live his new life now is to face the ghosts of his past, own up to how he was living, the people he may have hurt and the ones who've hurt him, so that he can focus on his future. You can also see how Smith and Belle also encourages loyalty in the people around them; their friends truly circle around them to provide support, clarity, and help when Smith and Belle need it. A true testament to enduring love and long lasting friendship.

What a wild ride for Belle and Smith! After the major cliffhanger we get in the previous book, I really wasn’t sure where the storyline was going, and I was highly anticipating this book. Geneva did NOT disappoint! With Belle feeling like she is going crazy and weird things and situations continuing to happen at the estate, Smith decides to take control and look into the stories and past of the estate, thinking it has to do with that as to why these things are happening. Throughout that, we see Belle and Smith’s relationship grow stronger in addition to seeing them establish themselves as parents. We see a whole different side to Smith when he becomes a parent, which is something he never thought he would be able to do. I also really love that Geneva highlights PPD through the eyes of Belle, as it is extremely common but not talked about (especially in books). The ending of this totally surprised me and I didn’t see it coming as to who is behind everything – turns out the past doesn’t actually stay dead and buried and this couple ends up finding this out firsthand. I’m excited to see what happens in the future with all of these characters! I can’t get enough of this book world!

Break Me is the latest book in The Royals Saga by the extremely talented Geneva Lee. And to say it broke me is an understatement.
Breathe Me, the previous book of this series starts the story of Smith and Belle’s desire to leave London for a normal life in the country and the struggles of being new parents. They didn’t exactly get what they had planned. Break Me continues that story and some.
This book is packed with drama, suspense, plot twists, romance, friendships, and some vert HOT sex all intertwined on a rollercoaster of emotions I have come to expect from this author.
Just when I thought I’d figured something out Lee throws in a new twist and leads us down a new path. I was on the edge of my seat, I couldn’t put it down.
I highly recommend this book, however you need to read at least Breathe Me first, if you haven’t already, but I recommend reading the entire series. It is worth it.

Break Me blew my mind! 5 stars

This book picks up right where Breathe Me left off, and my heart was in my throat with what was happening. As the story unfolded, I loved Belle’s aunt and her outlook on life: “There’s not enough time to wait for the perfect moment. There’s only time to live.” My love for Bells’s best friend Edward grew in this book as well. Smith made me swoon, yet I wanted to shake him sometimes too! Some moments in this book warmed my heart, and some moments I even laughed out loud. While reading the pinnacle of the unraveling of the mystery, “an explanation for all the madness,” my mind was absolutely blown! I did not see any of that coming; this author plotted everything brilliantly! I highly recommend this book and the whole Royals Saga!

Ich glaube, mit dieser Serie bin ich einfach durch. Und generell habe ich etwas das Gefühl, dass einfach immer mehr (und immer kürzere) Bücher rausgehauen werden, um noch mehr Geld zu machen.

Die post-natale Depression (die keine war) wurde mir ehrlich gesagt etwas zu fiel. Das ist definitiv ein wichtiges Thema, über das auch geschrieben wurde - aber hier hat es sich einfach die ganze Zeit wiederholt. Dazu kam, dass Sex als Allheilmittel zur Anwendung kam, was für mich auch einfach nicht realistisch war. Genauso wie ich es unrealistisch fand, dass all die komischen Vorkommnisse irgendwie einfach ignoriert und als Zufälle abgetan wurden.

Die Aufregung und der Plot Twist am Ende haben mir besser gefallen und ich mochte die Spannung, die so in die Geschichte gebracht wurde.

Belle et Smith ne sont pas encore prêts à vivre dans le calme et ils devront mener un combat qui risque bien de les dépasser.

j'ai passé de nouveau un excellent moment en compagnie de personnages qui savent encore nous surprendre au fil des tomes. Geneva Lee a su nous concocter un nouveau tome avec une intrigue prenante et qui ne nous lassera jamais. L'amour sera t-il vraiment plus fort que tout?

The previous book scared me, it was a very emotional read that touched me deeply on a personal level.
Then Break Me releases and the twists and turnes made me questioning things I've read about the Roayls in the past. I nearly choked on my drink for a moment. Knowing Geneva's writing I shouldn't be surprised that she would come up with something in this book aswell.

Smith won my heart from the very first moment we got to meet him in Crave Me (The Roayls book 4)
And he still has my heart. The way he loves Belle and their daughter. He'll do whatever to protect them.

And as I have said before after finishing a Royals book, I need more!
I need more of aunt Jane. Georgia. Edward. Norris and all the other Roayls characters.

Geneva does it again, she left me with a total mind fuck 😂😂 but it was so worth it. This book was amazing left me on the edge of my seat wanting more😩😩 Belle's stuggles may not seem out of the ordinary, she hides it and suffers alone until she is forced to let everything out in the open.

Smith's love for his wife Belle is like no other and combine that with the love of his precious daughter nothing will stop him from protecting whats his.

But what happens when old ghosts resurface and cause chaos?

Twist and turns no one saw coming are about to come full circle.

An excellent, excellent read. All 12 books!!

Miss Geneva Lee has penned a most incredible, powerful, and poignant series with the “Royals Saga”. Every installment was full of all the ingredients I require within books I give time to read. Mystery, intrigue, sex - yes! Most definitely good sex!! There are wonderful peaks and miserable troughs, but it all brings to the reader a very worthwhile read. First, Clara & Alexander or “X” as she liked to call him, and then Belle & Smith. Two powerful, exceptional couples within this series. They loved with no bounds, and their enemies knew no bounds when trying to break them apart. Truly a worthwhile and excellent read.

Geneva Lee delivered a masterful, sexy, exciting thrill ride. Belle and Smith have been through so much since moving to the Thornham estate and at each turn there’s more questions than answers. Through it all, their love burn brighter while their bond strengthens but they resolve to trust and lean on each other. When things take a turn for the worst, reinforcement comes in the form of none other than the king of England himself.

It was non stop drama, dark mysteries, confusion and even doubt but the love, loyalty, trust and chemistry just burned brighter. In the end with their close knit royal allies, we see they are un breakable after all. What a roller coaster ride this was.

Belle and Smith remain my favorites of this series and after the last book in this series with them I could not wait for this book! This book did not disappoint in the least! At times, I thought that I was going crazy and I had my suspicions as to the events that were taking place regarding Smith and Belle but I did not see the events that took place in this book. The twists that occurred in this story had me hooked to see what happens next, add in the chemistry between Smith and Belle and you have one amazing read. Overall, just like the other books in this series, I would recommend this book to others.

Yaaaaas! So good. Loved the paranormal twisty aspect of it. Honestly was so curious to find out what was going on! I had an idea and I was kind of right but also not. Really enjoyed it and am so sad that this is the end! I hope there will be more some day for Edward or Georgia! I need the Royals to continue on!

I do wish there was more of a “happy ending” epilogue to see more of them at a happy point in their lives. Especially since they went through so much.

Captivating, I couldn't put this book down. I was ready for some twists and turns but never expected it to be this messy. It's such a complicated but beautiful love story. I adore these characters and was ready to see their happily ever after It's one hell of a ride. I was on the edge of my seat as always. The writing is perfect and draws you into the royal world in a way that only Geneva can do. You will be hooked and entertained throughout. Friendly reminder just when you think things are perfect BAM your heart is broken. I can't wait to see what journey this author takes us on next time.

Geneva delivered yet again. Her mix of true to life issues, mysterious happenings, the many romantic escapades and interludes of Belle and Smith makes it difficult to put it down. Geneva can weave a plot and then leave you hanging. I love the Royal Saga, so if you haven’t started the series begin it today with Command Me. If you are following this saga then this is another page turn to the very end and it leaves you wanting more.

This is an absolutely brilliant series, starting from the very beginning when Clara meets Alexander (X) up until this one. 12 brilliant books thus far.
This one is the perfect conclusion to Breathe Me. Smith and Belle’s bond is unbreakable, even though their enemies have tries. There are many twists and turns in this story, but that is what you come to expect from a awesome writer. Truly a worthwhile and excellent read.

FOREVER

The continuing turmoil of whether or not Clara has actually gone over the edge & truly should not be trusted with Penny doesn't appear until the last few pages, when Geneva ends the ROYAL'S SAGA to date, with a climatic ending!

I'll be starting X COMMAND ME, THROUGH ALEXANDER'S EYES as soon as I SUBMIT THIS REVIEW to continue onward with this SAGA.

Geneva Lee is my newest author read & now most favorite!

Her writing is not to be missed! She totally involves her reader from the opening words of each of her newest novel.

Cracks forming everywhere but breaking?!?

No, they aren't broken. In times of darkness, it seems that friends and family fill the cracks with love. Mending what could break and making it just a scar!

Break Me is exactly that! Belle and Smith learn they have more family and friends than they want to consider. Their love mends. Their friends protect. It is all worth it in the end!

Smith's love for Belle outweighs her doubts, fear, and depression. It makes for a wild ride but then ghosts haunting your house- probably would too!

Geez!!! The game of who done it has never been more intense!

Everytime I thought I had it figured out a different clue reshaped the board.

Smith and Belle are what seems like.. down for the count but Lee's readers know not everything is as it seems.

The tangled web that's been spun will surely entrap the most dedicated reader in its snare.

This is the continuing story of Smith & Belle. OMG, I can’t tell you how great this book was!! The conniving, the planning, the sacrificing, the suspense, the mystery, the love, the steaminess, the reveal of all the plotting and the happiness. This book has everything you can imagine in it. Smith and Belle are outstanding characters. Of course, you have other characters that are in this book from the Royals Saga Series. It’s a 10!!
