Two is company. Three is a crowd. Four is a party. Come and play.Gabrielle Johansson has become fully entrenched in the underworld. It's kill or be killed. Survival of the ruthless. The Black Market is no place for a woman who values human life. After enduring life-changing trauma, Gabrielle attempts to reattain some sense of normalcy in her life and a relationship that involves 3 very possessive and dangerous confrontational men. But if it were that easy, their story would have ended with Book 3. How does a beautiful, thick, dark-skinned, wide-nose, full-lipped, kinky-haired black woman manage to tame all 3 men? Find out in the last installment of the Sons of the Elite Series.Dear Note that this last installment is explicitly more graphic than the prior books. The title of the book is true to its name. ***This is the FIFTH book in the multi-genre, reverse-harem erotic thriller Marvelous 3 Saga. Gabrielle Johansson is Black Girl Magic personified in the Sons of the Elite Series. Take a ride with Smauggy on this roller-coaster journey and visit her website at SMAUGGY.COM for a full cinematic experience complete with trailer, casting and soundtrack. This saga can be read in any series order but the below is Sons of the Elite > NOLA Witches > Anarchists > Death Do Us PartIf you're reading The Marvelous 3 Saga in its entirety, the order is as Damaged > Stuck in the Middle > Man's Weakness > Family Ties > 4Play > Hackers with(out) Remorse > Rise of the Phoenix > Untamed > Rogue Gone Ravage > The Unsettling > The Reckoning
I love how this book got progressively smuttier than the previous books. This series is one of my faves in which it's a reverse harem with a Black female mc. Like does it get any better? Yes lol, but I won't spoil so just read to find out what happens.
First let me say there is no reason this book should be 800 pages!!!
Spice on 1000! When Gabrielle met with the Elite and they kept calling her Ms. Johansson I would’ve corrected them every time and said Dr. I knew it when they dropped the dime about papa Steve. I also thought it was clear that the guys were Sons of the Elite. I know the part where the guys went off on the elite was supposed to comedic relief but it was stupid. Not these bad a**es who are pissed acting like they can’t talk elders/superiors. How did Sam get away from the guys? gabs is definitely a hypocrite talking about she’s a doctor and doesn’t harm people. Just because it’s not your nature doesn’t mean you didn’t do those things. I bet the remote is in Sam. How were the guards gullible enough to believe that she went from hating and fighting Sam every step of the way to oh we just had the best sex ever. That’s just not believable. Also how did all these phases happen in one/two days or is the timeline different than Gabrielle? I feel like the more logical reason for Gabs to marry Charlie is that he’s not the head of the family. Why would Gab want the Elite at her wedding? Dumb. I’m glad the story didn’t end after the “resolution” of the book.
3.8-3.9ish Wow, I've now read the final book to the SOTE saga and I have a lot of thoughts. First, I love the world Smauggy has created where her badass female MCs all have amazing powers (whether supernatural or not) and have amazing men to support. Gabby was a character that irritated me in Books 1-3, but by Book 4 I think she really grew and I appreciated her for what she stood and can respect her values/decisions. This was a great finale, but sue me for having slight criticisms for this monstrosity (800 pages! You had me binging from dusk till dawn Smauggy) because I have loads of questions/thoughts.
heavy spoilers below
All in all, I think this was a good sum all book. Everyone gets their HEA by the midpoint and Gabrielle gets a train run on her multiple times by her obsessive possessive men, as a woman should. Would I make some plot changes and trim this by 200+ pages? Yes, yes i would. But I have accepted this light, campier series of hers for what it is - campy, melaninated black girl fun.
It started out really fast paced with the Elite issue but after that it became an extremely long epilogue. There were so many relatable issues addressed but still some unanswered questions as well. I get that this was the conclusion of their story but the timeline should have been cut off before it answered questions about characters from other books or details should have been excluded. All in all I loved every bit of their story. Charlie was my absolute favorite because of his unfiltered and unapologetic ways.
YOWZA Finding out the family you grew up to love only betrayal exists Finding out what you’ve been told was used as manipulation Discovering pregnancy was mind-boggling Bridging family after deception become mounting anxiety
Organizing phenomenal team to give back (brilliance) What type of chaos will unknown cause Will Roy be able to save them or will chameleon succeed
By far this was an epic book. I truly love the way that these men love Gab and how protective they are over her. Charlie is definitely my favorite with his no nonsense attitude. Their kids are definitely a reflection of them and it’s a beautiful site to see and read! Great book all around. Since I’ve started reading this saga it hasn’t disappointed me and I’m enjoying every bit of it
This book is amazingly weird the characters are lovable possessive sexy aggressive psychopaths that fall in love with an amazing beautiful too good for them woman. This story makes you wonder if a situation like this could happen in another universe or in another lifetime or is it happening now.
This whole series is live. The love the actions of these men have for Gabe is so like filling. Charles is my favorite kill the then ask questions later. These are the men that will burn it all down for there women.
I really enjoyed this series. I thought it was well written and kept me glued to the pages. I am a bit jealous of the quad couple relationship, I wish it was me to have three men till the end of the work is beautiful. Thank for the good read.
Just finished reading the final book in this 4 book series. This was a long one. Not sure it needed to be this long, but ….. loved how these men MC2 loved their wife, Gabrielle and their children. Maybe women need more than one husband 🤔
This series was amazing and I read all three in a week. I just couldn’t put it down. Sometimes the main leading lady was annoying nice, but you have to love all the characters and how they evolved overtime. Must read.
Remember the first time reading her books on Wattpad and now finally rereading on Kindle! So proud of you! Keep writing! I know your family friends and husband are proud!
Book 4 of a 4 book arc within a 12 book series, still finds the author struggling with basic story elements. Inappropriate or ill-matched word choice, plot holes, and dropped threads. Then suddenly, at the end of this book, new characters are introduced with weird connections.
And this book had sex scene, after sex scene after sex scene. It felt like the author tried to make up for the slow burn of the first book. By the end of this book, I was ready to be done with these characters. I do plan to try the first book in the next arc of this series. I hope it gets better.
The love experience by Gabrielle by her men, is fantastic. To be cherished wholeheartedly with no limitations is phenomenal. This is a Fantastic story of Black Girl Magic! Yes please!
