Psychology definitely gives us some valuable tools. The problem is that it has such a corrupt anthropology that it’s really difficult to overcome. It’s really hard to take a book like this seriously when the writers deny basic biology, such as the reality of two genders. Psychology is much more subjective than other branches of science. Much of the realm is more philosophical than purely scientific. This is problematic when their worldview looks at man, not as a soul in need of redemption but as a machine in need of repair, with some of those machines being beyond repair. Humanism is a hopeless, purposeless worldview.

Longest book I've ever read (that is, until I read through War and Peace next year).

An excellent overview of tons of psychology concepts and terminology. With this and my intro to psych class finished, I'm feeling better equipped to discern where I want to go with a psych career!

Unfortunately, I was unable to give this book a no-star review. If you didn't have depression, anxiety, and anger issues before this book, you most certainly will have them by the time you finish reading it. It had, at most, one useful concept buried deep within its pages. If this isn't a requirement for school, don't waste your time.

Honestly not that bad

Lots of good, accurate information that was good to help read up and learn. I've read better, but not the worst by far
