Management Courses?
Is it only for a specific niche segment or do we all,
as salaried professionals or entrepreneurs or part time working people, even we as book reviewers/ bloggers/ influencers, need to study & implement the various fundamentals in our professional lives too❓❓
#aotd Management education CANNOT be limited to the selected few, who do these courses like BBA, MBA etc.
It would be highly impractical to say we don't need to have knowledge about it
BECAUSE
even though we may not have formal education about the subject, we unknowingly implement these techniques in our day-to-day life.
Having a know-how about it, only simplifies the process & make us more pragmatic.
Now, having said that,
we all need to be aware of this wisdom, all of us cannot have formal education for it, due to "n" no. of reasons.
Here, this Self Learning Mgmt. Series comes into the picture.

👍 The LANGUAGE is pretty SIMPLE for easy understanding.

👍 Being a Mgmt. graduate, I know what huge books we had to go through to compile notes for a particular subject. This Handy book is a summary or synopsis giving an ENRICHING LEARNING EXPERIENCE.
What is the meaning of "BUSINESS"❓
It's a person's regular occupation, profession or trade.
What is a "STRATEGY"❓
A plan of action designed to achieve a long term aim.
We need to have a long term VISION for ourselves, a MISSION, our OBJECTIVES & finally, in the short term goals.
And to achieve them, we need a STRATEGY.
We need to find, what are our STRENGTHS, WEAKNESSES, OPPORTUNITIES & THREATS. This is known as SWOT analysis.
Then there are techniques which will help us think about stuff like SUBSTITUTES. Yes, someone from another industry can substitute our service, as a reviewer for less cost. Maybe a Radio Jockey or a Comedian etc etc.
This is just an example.
SO the CRUX of the matter is, we need to be more aware of our objectives & devise a Strategy to achieve them.
This book will help impart us with the necessary back/ support to analyse & aim our target precisely.

Business Strategy Essentials You Always Wanted to Know by Callie Daum is a good book. It’s structured like a textbook, with chapter summaries (introduced in this 2nd edition) that make it very easy to self learn.
The key teaching is that running a good business requires making intelligent decisions regarding strategy — something that I still struggle with as a solo business owner (hence why I picked this book. There’s never enough to learn!).
Defining a strategy means focusing on the long term, studying the behavior of consumers and competitors, planning based on resources at hand and available finances.

I had to read this for my degree. It was actually interesting as school books go. There were some dry parts, but it mostly kept my attention. It was a good overview.
