Oto kraj, w którym żyją bogowie zwani Batsu. Pewien chłopiec imieniem Theo rozpoczyna pracę jako służący pięknego jak sen boga – Reia. Relacja pana i sługi, choć zapoczątkowana wyłącznie względami krwi, krok po kroku przemienia się w miłość. Z każdym dniem chłopiec i bóg coraz bardziej łakną swojej bliskości. Nawet dotyk rozpalonego ciała Batsu staje się przyjemnym ciepłem.
Problem w tym, że te nadprzyrodzone istoty starzeją się o wiele szybciej niż ludzie, przez co zapewne Rei będzie musiał rozstać się z życiem długo przed Theo…

4.5, I really liked the whole concept of this world and the author made it work for what little room she had. She explained the Batsu and the problem of them sleeping with a human along with the fact that it shortens their lifespan. I feel we as the audience don’t need to see Rei die. That is something Theo will have to deal with in the future. For now though, they are living happily together season by season; the whole situation reminds me of “The Little Prince” and not needing to know if he lives or dies, he’s just up in the stars somewhere maybe. And in regard to a Fantasy setting it was very original, with amazing character development. Both boys were cute and I found myself enjoying it very much, aside from the pregnancy joke. Everything’s okay until you put in a pregnancy joke... (The pregnancy joke is what earned it a 4.5 instead of a 5 tbh, just the thought of that grosses me out)

Aono Nachi sensei drew shoujo manga at the beginning, this is her BL manga debut (one and only), and she’s ventured into yuri manga in the recent years.
I really like this artist’s drawing style with lots of delicate details scattered around the pages, I’ve read this manga many times and each time I’d pick out little things I haven’t noticed before. Flower petals, rain drops, falling leaves, snowflakes~
This whole manga has a light and airy atmosphere, everything happens in this house with the garden, it’s like the two are living in their own little bubble, away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world.
The seme is one of a kind creature, a hybrid between 魃（バツ）father and human mother. His mother died soon after giving birth and his father despised him until he also passed away due to illness. 魃 has shorter life span than human and their health will deteriorate after having sex with human…
The uke has taken up the role as servant to his personal god, the seme. Wearing his mother’s maid apron and wrist/ankle cuffs. The seme put a collar on his neck to mark ownership.
The two actually met once when they were 5 year old, the uke’s mom brought him into the garden when she was working as servant for the seme’s dad. That was the first time the seme saw someone who looked similar to himself, with two eyes and no horns…
The story follows the main characters through the four seasons in a year, with flashbacks to their childhood. Two lonely souls, finding comfort and sharing warmth. Cherish the present and live in the moment.

Leider funktionierte die Umsetzung in einem Einzelband für mich nicht. Reis Vergangenheit fand ich traurig und rührend, aber darüber hinaus konnte mich die Geschichte emotional nicht berühren obwohl sie das Potenzial dazu gehabt hätte, da die Idee an sich gut ist. Allerdings denke ich auch, dass es daran lag, dass ich mit der Beziehung von Theo und Rei nichts anfangen konnte.

Unfortunately, the story doesn't work for me as a single volume. I found Rei's past sad and touching, but beyond that, the story could not touch me emotionally, even though it had the potential to do so, as the idea itself is good. However, I also think it was because I couldn't empathize with Theo and Rei's relationship.

Para comenzar... Nunca supe de qué o qué tipo de Dioses eran los batsu, no sé si no se explicó o yo no puse atención, pero la verdad es que no se le da mucha importancia, a mi parecer.
El arte y diseño de personajes es precioso, pero a pesar de que podemos llegar a ver otros dos o tres personajes, siempre se centran sólo en nuestros dos protagonistas... demasiado y creo que puede llegar a ser raro que no tengan mayor interacción con otras personas, al menos Theo.
No tiene escenas +18, sólo llega a sugerirlas y de hecho es una parte importante de la historia, ya que tiene consecuencias y en realidad esta problemática se lleva a cabo de una manera muy bonita.
El amor de Rei y Theo existe desde pequeños, se da a entender desde el inicio, aún así creo que todo se desarrolla extremadamente rápido y no se explora demasiado lo que sienten en ese momento.
Como protagonistas Theo me gusta porque llega a tener su carácter, no mucho, pero algo hace, se impone y llega a hacer lo que él cree conveniente.
Rei al inicio no tiene chiste, sólo es guapo, tienen que pasar un par de capítulos para verlo cambiando de expresión o haciendo realmente ALGO... Pero al final evoluciona y es bastante lindo.
La problemática final (que no voy a mencionar aquí porque sería spoiler) no se resuelve, no hay manera de hacerlo, pero es lindo porque se responden todas las preguntas de Theo para aliviar sus dudas y ambos hacen lo mejor posible por ser muy felices mientras puedan, lo cual no es muy común de ver.
Fue un manga dulce y tranquilo que me gustó leer, sin demasiado drama y que recomendaría para leer algo ligeramente diferente.

When I first saw Theo, I immediately fell in love with its art. It’s so aesthetically pleasing that I ended up purchasing a huge poster and hang it in my room. And the story is amazing. This was the first manga I read that is about God-Human relationship, the manga contains the sad and lonely content which suits the manga. The plot is unique which you really won’t know what will happen. Which more, the ending is left “open”. All in all, this manga is amazing! I always think about them then ended up crying XD but this is just my deduction in the ending, anyways, it didn’t really ended in a bad way! A good read and the art is pleasing in eye!

Primera vez que agradezco un final abierto. Primera vez que lloro por un final abierto. El o la autora es muy buena, muy generosa en darnos ese final. Realmente no hubiera soportado ver a Rei morir😭👊🏻 antes me muero yo ahre sí.
Y sí, sí. Fue muy corto (como la vida de Rei😭😭😭👊🏻), pero siento que fue suficiente. Sí, me hubiera gustado ver más de ellos... me hubiera gustado, pero eso solo me recordaría que la muerte de Rei está más cerca y que Theo se queda solo. Así que soy feliz con la historia.
Ahora con permiso... voy a llorarle un poquito más a los protagonistas.
Y sí, sí. Fue muy corto (como la vida de Rei😭😭😭👊🏻), pero siento que fue suficiente. Sí, me hubiera gustado ver más de ellos... me hubiera gustado, pero eso solo me recordaría que la muerte de Rei está más cerca y que Theo se queda solo. Así que soy feliz con la historia.

BEAUTIFUL art and paneling, truly makes my comic student heart sing!
Also really impressed that a standalone manga managed to throw us into this magical world with no info dumping, and yet everything makes sense! We learn more about the world building and characters as the story goes on--the story itself is rather slice of life, but with a demigod thrown in the mix!

The art was lovely. The story, while original, left much to be desired. Could have been so much more as a batsu/human hybrid has never existed before and, with all the BL going on, will never again. Just a missed opportunity in the story telling I feel.

April 13, 2022Tbh If u want a plot-heavy story, this one aint it. Not much happens aside from bits of backstory for the god and the childhood of Theo BUT it was still really enjoyable. I do like a good calm read from time to time. Also, BEAUTIFUL artstyle! Thats what caught my eye in the first place.

Bardzo fajna manga,bardzo polubiłam Theo! Uważam,że można by było jeszcze tę historię trochę rozbudować o kilka rozdziałów lub kolejny tom,bo historia Reia i Theo wciąż będzie trwać tylko już bez nas.

C’était une magnifique lecture 😭. Il y avait un petit côté onirique qui était très plaisant, les dessins étaient superbes et l’histoire était incroyablement belle. (Et triste à la fois )
Theo et Rei méritent d’être heureux ensemble le plus longtemps possible !

I really love the drawing style! However, I wish there was more to the story :( . It's only a couple of chapters and it's short and sweet, but honestly there are more components left to explain!

It was good but seemed rushed due to only being a single volume series. I’m very curious to see more of Theo’s and especially Rei’s, background and upbringing.

I really enjoyed this manga and loved the story but I think it could have been MORE. There could've been so much more plot, some problems, etc. that the two main characters had to overcome. But I definitely loved the art style and the cover??? Excuse me!? It's so pretty😩💞
