Just as there are two sides to every story, there are two sides to every person. One that we reveal to the world and another we keep hidden inside. A duality governed by the balance of light and darkness - Emily Thorne Every day is the same. Every moment is planned. Every emotion checked. Meet Elizabeth - every girl's dream. An independent and successful woman, who has achieved all that she aspired despite all odds. Money, Success, Fame – she has bagged them all. And that too at a young age of twenty-seven. Life could not get any better, right? But she wanted more. To reach the absolute top, working towards a dream, ready for the many sacrifices – in pursuit of happiness. BANG! Elizabeth is taken through a journey that is literally out of the world. A place that is not her own. A life that she may not want to live. Time there will completely shake her core. It changes everything. Will Elizabeth escape? Will Elizabeth come back with more scars or will Elizabeth be healed? What will Elizabeth do next?
Oh the struggles of Elizabeth!! Great character development and twisting plot. I had no idea where this one was going! When I found out WOW like a slap in the face literally but in a good way i really enjoyed it. The two personalities is one that I can relate to. It is true, everyone hides their true selves to benefit themselves. This book makes me want to be better, think better, and do better. Just all around a unique compelling read. Great for anyone who likes phsycological thrillers, or anyone who likes a nice short read that is full of twists and turns for the main character.
Elizabeth— a work-driven woman with issues buried in her past— is suddenly thrown head first into a fantasy world where people are dived into houses based on their personality types.
This Divergent-esque book really delves into the human psyche and our motivations behind our actions.
Lost was a wonderfully short read that surprised me with how much I liked it. I would definitely recommend this.
Great character development, with lots of twists and turns! Elizabeth reminds me of me in a way; I have a few personalities, but mine applies to different people- mine are intentional for my own protection rather than a mental issue though. This was a good read on a Friday night! I’m ready for more!
Looking forward to reading the other books in this series! This a a quick book that grips your attention from start to finish. It is well written with a powerful plot and range of characters. It really makes you think and have a look at one self and what we could improve on ! A wonderful read.
I have enjoyed this book from the beginning to the end. I beleive that the author knows and dominates his subject. We all have one part of Elizabeth in our inner selves. The character takes you on a ride like a rollercoaster and you know that you won't fall until the last page, or... i loved the book. I won't spoil it for you, have your own judgement!
I too want to be a mountain goat...this story was exceptional and emotional. I love how the author wrote this wonderful story but also seemed to counsel the readers as well. I found this book informative about my own emotions as well.
