Arush is twenty years old, living in the UK. His parents are Indian but he was born and raised in the UK. He comes to India for voluntary work that is required to get admission in a prestigious art school. When he comes to rural village in Kerela, he is mesmerized by India’s scenic beauty. There he meets Puja. Where Arush is so shy, Puja is energetic and fiery. They are opposites of one another, but they build hit it off immediately and start a friendship. Soon they realize they are falling for one another even though they know Arush would have to return to UK. But suddenly something unexpected happens to Puja and Arush helps her in her ordeal.

This one was an enjoyable read. There are many things I enjoyed in this book.
-I liked the descriptions of everyday life in rural India and how Arush loved travelling. Kerela’s heritage was also described very vividly which made me want to go there too.
-The friendship, which turned into something more, between Arush and Puja seemed genuine. It feels very nostalgic, and reminded me of young love when everything seems possible.
-The chapters were very short and it was a very quick read. I love it when the chapters are short because I read one after the other in quick succession and I finished the book very quickly.
-The importance of family was shown very well, and the families of both the characters felt very relatable.
-The main characters were nice and likable.
-Some important issues were also mentioned like parental pressure to do well academically, the flaws in our justice system and how different they are from that of UK, etc.

Though the story takes some unrealistic turns but this didn’t stop me from enjoying the book. I would recommend this book if you like young love and travelling.

"When Love Came Calling" is my 3rd read from Preeti Shenoy, and my expectations from Preeti were matched in this book. I was a little bit skeptical after reading "Wake up, Life is calling". Though the "wake up" was presented as an inspirational book, for me, it was a similar experience that I felt with "Veronica decides to die" by Paulo Coelho. I felt too negative while reading both books. Surprisingly when Love Came Calling was a refreshing, cute, and light read in this pandemic depression.

The protagonist of our story is Arush and Puja. Arush was born and brought up outside India. He was a kind of self-made man who was deciding his life based on his passion. He was selected for a paid assignment to work with an NGO based in Kerala, India. Puja, on other hand, had was a kind of lazy girl who felt her life was not in her hands but her parents. She was not happy with the career path set for her by her parents, at the same time, she didn't want to divert from that path.

When the two met, a bond was created instantaneously. Though both were opposite, their different nature brought them nearer. They wanted to know more about each other. The feeling was mutual, but things were not smooth for them. Puja got up in a mess, and unknown to the depth of the consequences Arush tried to help Puja. Do read the book to know whether Puja was rescued or Puja had to rescue Arush.

Apart from the love story, the book brings us two wonderful things to us,
1. As author Preeti is herself a Keralite, she has wonderfully described nature's bounty of Kerala, proving the phrase " God's Own Country" true.
2. Preeti has a good control over bringing an inspirational story without leaving the story. You are bound to learn good things by reading the story itself. You cannot disintegrate the invitational discussion from the story.

Coming to writing, as usual, Preeti has used a simple narration style. The usage of English is easy for any level of readers. The choice of words makes interest intact. This book hardly falls under DNF, I finished it in 3-4 sittings but can be finished in 1-2 sittings as well.

Overall I will give 4 out of 5.

When love came calling is a sweet Lil story of Arush and Puja. A rush, an Artist who was travelling India for the first time was excited to work at a rural camp. On the other hand, Puja who was confused about what she should do on vacation was forcefully enrolled in this camp by her mother. What happens when these opposites meet? Will Puja complete the camp? Well, it has all the answers we seek.
.
With an interesting plot filled with twists, it's an honest story that will make you smile. Yes, I liked how the author explored the relationships. The way she described sister bond to an ambitious mother, from friendship to relationships. I liked the blend of all the emotions. Be it Family expectations from different families to handling the situations, the author described it all in an intriguing way.
.
It has various aspects which we all must have been through, it's not just about Love between two people, it's about Family love too. With crisp and gripping narration and engaging writing style, it's a journey filled with drama, love and hope. The backdrop of Kerala is beautifully described by the author.
.
The well-developed characters make this book more fascinating. Each character had their own personality, have their own effect on the readers. Narrated from different perspectives of different characters it's a light, fast-paced read for all the teenagers.
.
I enjoyed reading this book. A book with an interesting storyline. Life of both families is wonderfully portrayed by the author.

Looking for a simple and fresh read? Go for it.

This is a story of puja and Arush and their love and survival

The story starts with Arush 20 years old, a very studious boy, careful also, and equally shy. He is Born and raised in Britain, only his name is Indian.
he always dreams of India and wanted to visit India. he gets thrilled when he gets an opportunity to spend 12 weeks in India to be specific in Kerala.

Where puja is 19 years old kind of normal girl, who believes only a few people can achieve success, only a few people know how to find passion and she doesn't know how to figure out things in life. Her mother is very strict.
and she sends her to a rural location in Kerala to spend her summer vacation, but she is not interested to go there.

now both are in Kerala for volunteer work with little interest, no Netflix & chill,
literally no other distraction, nothing much to do.

After a few days, Ayush realizes India is not what he expected where puja has to face the truth of life. in between, they fall in love with each other.

There is a lot of things that happen in camp.
(I felt like my college days while reading at some extend) there is police, hospital, ganja lot of things involved.

Why pooja left camp?
Now, what will arush do?
What's the role of pooja father?
Will he go back to the UK or stay in camp?
so what at the end?

I really loved the father's character of pooja.
Other characters are the story are okay!

The story is slow-paced in starting. after 20-25 chapters it takes some grip.
Still, there are some unrealistic thing that happens in the plot which I didn't expect.

The story explores a lot of heritage of Kerala. I might visit someday.

To be honest, Its an average read for me!
Expected a lot after wake up life is calling

Actually rating 3.3

I felt that the female lead was very impulsive and did some really stupid things and could escape from responsibilities because she was rich! Author has written about the problems teenagers face and how parents can actually help them. Communication is the key in any relationship. The one thing that I noted was that many teenagers or even the adults have no idea what they want in life! Most of them just do engineering because their parents sent them! (Just an example) half of the people I know don't realize what they are passionate about and spend all their lives living a bored and monotonous life!

I just couldn't get through the book. I DNFed it after page 36. It's too corny. The characters are f*cking friendly to each other right from the absolute beginning. Eeeks! Not my type.
I have no idea wtf was wrong with my sense of judgement back then to have read it through the first time and rate it 4/5. It's either a one time read or my taste in books has changed. Maybe both. Anyway, I freshly rate it 3/5, averaging both the reading experiences.

WHEN LOVE CAME CALLING...by Preeti Shenoy...this was the first time i tried out a book by this prestigious author and she has impressed me quite well.
First of all...I'd definitely mention how luring the cover n title are!!...the title gives good insights of what we are about to discover in this fiction. The cover gleams too well to avoid the book placed in front of you.

The story is about two young people...Puja & Arush...both come from different backgrounds and have different mindsets. While on one hand Arush is sorted and has his goals clear..Puja on the other hand is too impulsive and has an opinion that only people who have achieved success figure out what their passion is. Fate has fixed them a meet and much more to that.
The book is a huge roller-coaster of varying emotions. The author has pictured art & culture very elegantly, and has put in some sincere efforts to make it a worthy read.

To sum it up..it was a pleasurable read. Anyone who's looking forward to a light & fun read...should definitely go for it..I'd highly recommend.

It's a story of Puja and Arush, two polar opposite teenagers who happen to meet and fall in love.

Arush is a very practical, shy, artistically gifted, hard-working guy from London whereas Puja is an extrovert, impulsive, immature, tragedy's favourite child from Kerala.

Their love-story had not even officially started, when one after the other problems ensnared them. Puja is caught in a dramatic chain of events and they are separated. Arush also meets the same fate and had to leave the country for good.

What will a teenager so madly-in-love do, when she can't even talk to Arush???

What Puja does is beyond imagination and in the process, she not only finds love , but also a purpose for her life. Most importantly, she is able to form a strong bond with her family, something she has missed since her childhood.

The book is a breazy read , and succeeds in reflecting how teenager's behave today! What caught my attention at various places was the author's commentary on excessive use of social media, again something which is very relevant.

On a lighter note, the book could have been called " When love comes without calling" 😁 ( you will get the reference, once you read the book!)

It is a wonderful book as well.. A real page turner.. Her language and story makes you want to finish them as soon as possible and this book speaks about how individual lives are, their perspective. And in her books, there is always a moral of the story that punches you right in the face.

Puja, daughter of cardiac surgeon Chitra and business man Krishnan Wayanad, is stuck in a live of unwants. Her parents force her into most things as with a voluntary service over summer vacation at Ashwaty Bhawan, Wayanad.
Arush born and brought up in the UK is an art student (against his parents wishes) gets into an all paid voluntary service trip to India, Ashwaty Bhawan, Wayanand. He wants to discover his roots.
.
Ashwaty Bhawan is where these too meet over Puja s scare of reptiles and Arush s love of them ( has an igunana pet named Vincent ). Three other people volunteer with them, one them is Puja s schoolmate Sujit. As Arush and Puja bond over their opposites, Arush s calm to Puja s chaos, interest in books to Puja s fast internet life! They talk all night daily.
On a trip to nearby caves they come to term with their feelings while at the same time Puja is framed in a drug racket by Sujit. She s cleared of from police by her father and taken home. She s reprimanded at home.
.
After his stay at Wayanad, Arush comes to stay near Kochi. They secretly meet and Arush with his previous vengeance tracks down Sujit and is hurt in the process by gangsters of the drug gang. He s called in to UK for safety earlier than expected. Puja is called home and grounded minus her phone and laptop.
.
A hiatus between this young couple develops. Read the book to find out what happens? Will they meet again? Will Puja get her peace with her parents? Will Arush s art be appreciated as Puja wishes!
.
Simple, lucid like all Shenoy book, Young adults will love the purity of it and parents too have a solid takeaway from this book. Inspirational as all of Shenoy s work!

I think the curriculum should be focusing on nurturing us to face the world than making us tons of assignments that don't matter to us anyway. I don't know about the skills, but our writing speed increases by the time we get our degree.
It's crucial to do what we like rather than getting pressurized under the parent's burden. Also, as a student, it's our responsibility to check the different options we have and choose accordingly.
.
The author has tried to discuss the parent-children relationship when it is education and their perspectives and assumptions while going through this rough phase.
The story begins with the protagonist Puja, and Arush meets in a rural location in Kerala to spend her summer vacation doing volunteer work. Puja is here just because her parents have compelled her to, but Arush loves the volunteer work and is trying to give his 100%. Being in the same place with choppy internet and no other distractions, they start getting to know each other and slowly fall in love. But falling in love and staying in love is not the same thing.
Then the turn of events makes it difficult for them to stay in touch and, between all these is the career that is at stake. Desperately, fighting to expose the truth and save themselves, what happens to their love? Is it strong enough to survive forces beyond their control? Is it deep enough to drown their doubts?
Preeti Shenoy ma'am is the reason I started reading books. Her writing style always amazes me. With her, it's not just about the story but between the meanings of the lines. The narration is beautiful. The description of the scenic beauty of Kerela adds the spice to the story. The language is lucid. The storyline is good, but the plot could have been better. The book picked up the pace in the latter half.
Overall, a beautiful read and a must-read for parents and children. TIP - TRY TO READ IT TOGETHER.

There's always a nuisance to travelling that is motion sickness.

Heck motion sickness and travelling can't be together!!! I know I know and this is the case with most of us and so does it's with our female protagonist Puja.

Travelling has always frightened her due to her embarrassing childhood motion sickness experience. Mostly scrolling Instagram and doing nothing are her favourite vacay hobbies. But this time her mother enrolled her in a social work programme which she is not interested at all and do not want to attend. Albeit she has to leave the comfort of her luxurious home and face her greatest fear of motion sickness. At the programme, she meets Arush who has come from the UK. Arush is ambitious while Puja is the opposite of him.

Now you must be thinking that oh they have met and now they'll fall in love. A typical love story. Well, umm...you are right but that's not the whole case. Do you want to know what's going to happen next then grab a copy today.

This is my first book from the author and I liked her writing style. The story is gripping and the narration is easy to comprehend. What I liked the most is that in the simplest way she has described that expectations do harm, give your children the liberty to be an "individual" and reckless decisions ain't an escape from the reality. Kerala has always been on my travel list and after reading this book I badly want to explore beautiful mural arts, museums and nature.

It is a light read and I'll recommend this book to all especially to stubborn kids and daunting parents.

When Love Came Calling is my first book by the author. And I must say I liked it. This book is mainly about teenage romance based on friendship, love, betrayal, culture and ignorance.

The book revolves around Puja and Arush, who have very different personalities. Puja is from Kerala, India whereas Ayush is born and raised in Britain. Ayush loves travelling just like me. They both met through a voluntary program at an NGO based in Kerala. When they met each other, there experience a different spark. And form a bond of friendship very quickly.

After this, they start talking to each other regularly and their friendship changes into something more. Many misfortunes took place and they always stood for each other. But they do not confess anything to each other.😔

What all misfortunes took place? Did those misfortunes affect their bond?
Will they confess about their feelings?
Will, they ever adjust well with each other irrespective of their personalities?
To know all these answers go grab the book and find out!😉

The best part of this book that I liked was the details of everyday life in rural areas, the culture and beliefs. And also the heritage of Kerala. This book also described how parental pressure and negligence can affect a child. Many issues prevailing in India are also highlighted in this book such as our justice system, parental pressure on academics, laws and a few more.

The book is easy to read. I completely enjoyed reading it. I read it just in one sitting because I could not keep up with my curiousness to know what happened with them, did they confess. So I recommend this book to those who like reading about young love and travelling.

"𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡, 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚'𝙨 𝙖 𝙬𝙖𝙮."

🌉'When Love Came Calling' is an adventurous love story that'll take you through an exciting ride of many beautiful places.
Story revolves around Puja, a 19-years-old girl, who's confused, immature and doesn't know what to do in future and lives in India. In contrast, Ayush is a guy who's studios, mature, focused on his career and lives in UK. They meet in India at a camp and fall in love but was it really love? Can she trust a guy who came from UK for a few weeks only for his college assignment?

🌉It's not a usual cheesy love story that I generally stay away from. It's a beautiful venturesome story that you definitely should read after spending all this time at home during lockdown. It is such a refreshing read. The author has done a great job at giving life to the story through her words. The story is not only a romance story but has also depicted parent's over interference in their child's life in India. How they want to control everything in their child's life without understanding them, without spending much time with them. It has shown the importance of family and doing what you love the most.

🌉The story takes twist and turns which make the story more engaging. It got some illustrations too that are just beautiful. The best thing is, most of us would relate ourselves to one or the other character throughout the story. I loved Arush's and Puja's pure and non-cheesy relationship. I loved Arush's love for travel and passion for Arts which only shows the author's love for art as she's an artist herself and definitely a great one!

🌉This book also takes you on an exciting trip to UK and mostly to Kerala which has been described exquisitely and gracefully. It made me want to go there eagerly and I will visit Kerala soon, for sure. I can't resist my wish to go there and see the beauty of Kerala myself.

🎀If you love traveling and reading YA novels then this book is for you!🎀

I have started reading love stories recently. I am not a fan of this genre, but I like to explore, hence I keep reading different genres to test my taste.

"The problem with the Instagram and Snapchat generation is that they want things on a platter. They want all the finer things in life, but they aren't willing to put in the work for it. They are incapable of making a plan and sticking to it. They lack focus. They don't know how to set goals," Puja's mother expresses her thoughts here.

After reading a few pages, I came to know that this book is not covering just a love story. It opens some social dynamics which today's generation face nowadays. It has media issues, social stigma, failed parenting, disturbing teenage years, misunderstanding, drug dealing, an intriguing storyline to dive into.

A rich girl struggling with inferiority complex falls in love with a bright boy who has certain goals in life. The story goes through many turmoils, and ends at a point.

The plot was engaging, and interesting, but I do not agree with a few things here. When all of us are eagerly waiting for Mirzapur 2, and cheering for Bella Ciao after watching money heist, it was hard to believe that drug dealers hit Arush with a beer bottle and ran away. I couldn't digest the whole incident, which went so smoothly.

Anyway, overall the book is fast paced, and easy to read. The storytelling is really nice.
Thanks to Purvi, for selecting such a beautiful cover for your mother's book. I really loved it.❤️

Content - arush, Indian but born and brought up in UK , a shy, studious and career oriented boy came to India for his college project . He is studying arts and very interested in Indian heritage and culture. His first project was to volunteer in NGO, Aswathy Bhawan in Wayanad ,Kerala where he met Pooja, a bindass, don't care and social media addict girl, who did not want to come here at first but had to come because of her mother's pressure. Now without internet and social media, everyone became interested in one to one talk. Soon Puja and Arush became friends too. Puja began to love Arush's simplicity and Arush liked Pooja's impromptuness and straightforwardness. Eventually they began to fall for each other. But, a tragedy happened that forced them to part from each other.
.
Will they still be connected? What will happen to their budding love? Will they get another chance?
.
Read the book to know Puja and Arush and everything surrounded them.
📖
📖
At first, the book seems like a young romance story with young generation problems and family problem. But as the story progresses, it shows us value of friendship, family importance, understanding and trust for each other. The author has beautifully describes every thing very easily. On one hand, she shows us family's pressure and negligence towards their children's feelings and it's impact on young minds, also on other hand, she shows us family values, love and friendship. Parents sometimes don't understand their children's inner wishes and try to impose their decision which can result in dire consequences. But again family is the one thing that keeps you grounded and helps you in your most troublesome time. The author has shows us these two opposite part very smoothly.
.
The scenic beauty of Kerala and it's heritages are also beautifully depicted here. The characters are well portrayed and has a resemblance with our lives as well. There are some part which are a little out of the box but the narration is smooth and engaging. The language is lucid and easy to understand.
.
Overall a cozy, nice and enjoyable read.

This is the story of Puja and Arush. Puja who is impulsive, and seems to attract trouble; and Arush, a shy artist from UK, both decide to do some volunteer work in, my favourite state of India, Kerala😄; Puja, due to pressure from her mother, and Arush due to genuine desire to help and for college credits. A series of events ensue, that bring them close and then take them far apart. Through these experiences, they both take the opportunity to grow, tame their weaknesses and be better people; especially Puja.

The story is set in Kerala for the most part, beginning with Wayanad and moving on to Mattanchery in Kochi. The author succeeded in bringing out the settings perfectly, and I liked it more because it made me nostalgic for these places😪. Arush and Puja as characters, were very well developed and I'll remember them both for a long time. This book was the first, in a long time, that I had to force myself to put down. The plot was easy-going with just the right amount of tension.

I'd recommend it to anyone and everyone. Especially if you like romance.

It is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all!
~Alfred Lord Tennyson

Love is like the right strokes in a beautiful painting. It is like the fire that lights up a cold, dark room. It is that one moment that feels like an entire lifetime! Love is the most beautiful feeling. But love does have its share of woe and weal too. Every story that begins with love doesn’t necessarily have a happy ending. Based on this simple concept is Preeti Shenoy’s new book ‘When Love Came Calling’. The story revolves around two young love birds who are poles apart yet their energies attract each other. As the story progresses, we get transported to those golden days of college when romance is freshly brewed and obstacles do not leave any chance to block your path. Relatable and fast-paced, this sweet and mushy love story is sure to get you hooked to it.

This was such a fun and refreshing read! I wasn’t expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. Both the characters were likeable. I liked their stark contrast to each other. Puja was confident and outspoken but not to the point where it came across as arrogant or annoying. Arush was shy and timid, an artist taking everything in and turning it into art. They both fitted like two pieces of puzzle and I was delighted to go on this journey with them!
.
I liked the writing. It was easy to read, smoothly flowing and made me dive into the story. Once I picked it up I was curious to know what happens next. The pace was fast and I felt things escalated between Puja and Arush a bit quickly. Another thing I found worth praising was the beautiful places described in this book. It gave me serious wanderlust and now my mom will have to hear me crying to go to Kerela for a while.
.
A great contemporary romance which I would recommend to both those who are familiar and love this genre as well as those who are looking to try it.

Sometimes, the stories bring us great adventures.
And I'm very happy to meet Puja and Arush.

Things I learnt from this novel,
More than learnt, I must say, I felt!

🍁The novel serves us with the taste of love, you'll have a journey of how it works, the magic of love and the power of love.

🍁Love is the bravest!
For I wonder how the girl, Puja travelled that far to see her love, crossing the line, she always feared about.

🍁Love is the most courageous!
I can't believe how she gathered the courage to do the things and make a way through the things even when she had no options to!

🍁Never measure the depth of love with time!
So less time for the young lovers, yet they find their love for each other. Love is a feeling, a kind of vibe.
Oh! That's why literature has a term,
'Love at first sight!'

🍁Love drives you crazy!
Never thinking of what's gonna happen in the future, she runs to see him, cross borders, without any thought. I believe, that was the dress 'Hope', the heart wore at that time.

🍁The worries of the parents didn't matter to her ! Ah! And that's how love works. Sometimes, the feelings become so high that we are ready to lose our close ones for the one we love!

🍁Her best friend; Shanti chechi.
Everyone needs a best friend and I believe, she was her best friend and moreover she was like her mother. I am amazed by the way she found out she was in love!

🍁The bond between Puja and shanti chechi makes me feel that, with pure love, bonds do emerge and can be more stronger than blood relations.

🍁The role of the parents was fantastic. The fear of their child's future and the things they do to get a name in the society was perfect. The feelings of the parents were well expressed.

Can't wait for part 2.

When Love came Calling,

And, now I call this novel,
A masterpiece on 'Love'

Young love is said to be the most passionate. The constant need to be with each other and the mind clouded with their thoughts almost all the time makes it full of feelings and emotions. But can this love sustain when both the parties are poles apart?

One such story is of Arush and Puja who have newly entered adulthood. Arush is shy, studious and reserved whereas Puja is confused, fiery and impulsive. Being totally different than each other, they still manage to fall in love. But falling in love and staying in love aren't the same thing, right? Consequential situations makes them distant, both physically and mentally. What happens to their love? Are they able to clear the misunderstandings between them? Do they get back together? Will they have a happy ending? Read this gripping novel to know more.

I loved the book. I liked how the book isn't just another young romance but has much more in the store for readers. Though the basic storyline is of romance, it covers various aspects like the academic, cultural and scenic differences between two countries. It also depicts the parent-child relationship, how sometimes feelings of the child go unnoticed in the course of making them worthy and successful and how it takes a toll on the child's mental health. These elements make the book much more interesting. Every scene is well described and the narration is done by the characters back and forth. The language is simple and lucid. The title matches well with the storyline. I would recommend it to the young and the middle-aged.

Puja – A nineteen year old rebel by all means and is the black sheep of the family. She is hot headed, chaotic, impulsive and disorganized. Mother, a doctor, Father, a business and her Sister, an IIM pass out who has a super fancy job. Constant pressure and comparison with her sister, Puja is forever getting into trouble. One summer, her mother forcibly sends her to do volunteer work. Left with no choice, she starts on her journey which is going to change everything for her.

Aarush – A twenty year old systematic, neat, careful and utterly organized boy who lives in the UK. Born and raised there, the only connection to India has been his name. Never been to India, he grabs an opportunity that comes his way to visit India. He gets chosen for an International program and he is excited to explore and understand his roots better. Little does he know that all his plan are tossed right out of the window and he has no control whatsoever.

Is it the same place that Puja and Aarush are headed towards?
Do sparks fly between them?
What happens that makes Puja withdraw from the place?
Why does Aarush have to go back suddenly to the UK?
Do they manage to be in touch?

Rating – 4/5 Stars
Recommendation – High

Conclusion,

This is a very easy and light book. We follow the two main characters, Puja and Aarush and what happens during that summer vacation is the plot of this story. The narration of the entire book takes place alternating between Puja and Aarush. Overall a good read.

P.S – I got a signed copy. Woo Hoo!

Trigger Warning – Nil

" When love came calling" by Preeti Shenoy comprises of tons of emotions and feelings like love, friendship, hate, ego, hatred, ignorance and many more.

This is the story of Puja, daughter of a businessman and a renowned doctor.
Who belonged to kochi, and how was forced to pursue something by her mother just because it will look good on her CV.

And this is also the story of a guy Arush, whose family was from India but migrated to Britain. Arush was born and brought up in Britain and belonged to the Art Stream. And got an opportunity to work in Kerala, India , which we all also know as God's own country.

It's prominent in our country that parents force their wishes upon their children, they take decisions for their life, when it should be the children who are destined to take every decision of their own life.
They should be the one, who decide their own journey not anyone else.

You can never know what life holds for you in the future. Is the decisions taken by parents for their children right way to go through life?

Pick this one up to read about the same and how the life turns out to be for these two.

Will they ever cross each other's path?
Will life be easy for them?

The cover of the book is so pretty, just like the content that will keep you hooked throughout.

Highly recommended!!

This book you must read cuz its really a simple and heartwarming.

The story revolves around 2 main characters Puja and Arush.

Arush is a twenty year old boy raised in Britain and have accomplished to get a full academic scholarship in an art college in Norwich ,he is set to go to india for three months for a volunteer work he was selected for and is extremely excited since he hasn't been there ever. While Puja is a different case completely and utterly opposite to Arush, she is also set to go to the same volunteer camp but not exactly by choice.
They seem so, so different in start that you can't imagine them falling in love but slowly and gradually you will be Fangirling over them right before puja gets herself into a terrible mess. Arush unaware of what he is geeting into tries to protect her.
This story touches a lot of issues and themes for instance the family pressure.

The journey or the whole story line is so exhilarating that it will eventually make you love the book.
Honestly it's my first time reading a Preeti shenoy's book and I was quite impressed,I like the way she goes on to make everything so clear
Well if you want to know, what happens to them, what mess does puja get herself into, then go and grab your copy and read the book to find the answer.

The way Preeti Shenoy wrote it makes you want to read and never stop.

The book proves that falling in love is a completely different thing from staying in love. You have to keep patience, trust and comprehension in order to maintain a relationship. Nowadays, we lack of the qualities unfortunately and that's why a relationship suffers.

Puja, the female protagonist of the novel, is spontaneous, impulsive and chaotic in nature but she has no serious plan for her career. Her mother forces her to join Ashwaty Bhawan at Waywand, Kerala to do some voluntary works in order to make a perfect CV for her career. Unwillingly, Puja joins the programme there and meets Arush.

Arush, the male protagonist of the novel, is an artist, shy and careful boy. He is born and brought up in Britain and joins an international programme from his college and he is bound to spend twelve weeks in India, which is his root of existence.

Despite of being totally different from each other, Puja and Arush falls in love but what next? This is not only a mere love story but also a saga which teaches us various lessons about life, family, society and circumstances.

At first, I thought the book is slow paced but gradually I found the charm of this bestselling book and eager to read its sequel which is in my bookshelf already. People, who want to read books about love and life, can read it undoubtedly. My personal rating for the book is 4/5.

✨ Blurb ✨
The main protagonist of this book is Puja and Arush. Puja a 19 years old girl who takes decision on very spot and she believes that only few people's can get success in their life. Arush, 20 years old boy, a shy type character who born and raised in UK. He always wish to visit India by the way he got the chance of visiting India for 12 weeks that too specially in Kerala. Puja already mentioned above she demotivates her with her beliefs so she doesn't find any way for her successfull life and by the way her parents also very strict so she was sent to Kerala. There she sent for volunteering service where the place Arush also in volunteering services. The story is about:
- whether these two young people will fall in love? If so will they get mingled?
- will Puja finds the way for successful life? Will her belief will change?
Like more things are waiting behind this story.

All Preeti Shenoy books have a similar pattern that I have come to recognise.
Boy and girl fall in love, something bad happens to one of them which results in their relationship to go downhill. One of them faces a lot of problems to get to them and they eventually get back together.
Even though this seems very cliché, it doesn't take away from the fact that she is a great writer. I've read two books by her and they are both impressive.

Her books have proper representation of problems in the society and also shows how you can cope with them.
Her writing is very expressive and you actually feel it when a character is going through a tough situation. This book even made me cry a little bit at times.
Her characters and situations are so real you actually have a conflict as to who is in the right and who is in the wrong.

More than being about love in romantic relationships, the book is also about love in a family. About how there is still a shimmer of hope in a broken family to become a happy family. How even an extremely flawed person can find their place in the world.

I do recommend Preeti Shenoy's books because even though they seem cliché, they are very real.
