Dirty Chef

Rate this book
A head chef. His assistant. And a night of fiery passion.

I’ve had a crush on my incredibly hot, terrifying and unobtainable boss since long before I even started working under him. My daydreams are filled with dirty fantasies about him as there’s no chance any of them will become reality. Because you really shouldn't mix business with pleasure.

Until you do.

The moment Lucien Dumont, outstanding chef and owner of Haze, set his piercing blue grey eyes and skilled hands on me, everything changed.

One night sparked the flame between us and now I'm helpless against the wildfire flaring in his eyes. My body craves to be engulfed, but my heart yearns for something out of reach. Something impossible for a Chef de Partie to expect from her boss.

Yet a question torments me. Does Lucien want the same thing I do?

Whatever the answer, I have a choice to make: stand the heat and stay in the kitchen or walk away and get burnt?

Quick read with plenty of steam. Lucien and Riley were a good couple. Plenty of chemistry and attraction between the characters. No real drama between the couple, just a little outside drama. Good read.

Dirty Chef by Sarah Bailey is a romance erotica novella that continues the author’s Dirty series, featuring dominant men and their path to true love. It’s not a sequel, but go ahead and read Dirty Cop before taking on this one, as the overlap is well worth a full dive into the narrative of both stories. Riley Clark is a talented, yet unproven chef following her dreams of hitting the big time by working on staff at Haze, a trendy restaurant ran by none other than Lucien Dumont. Chef Lucien is well respected, but is also a bit of a task master in the kitchen…oh, and has been the only thing Riley can think about for any comprehensible amount of time. The man’s craft is unquestioned, he is a true genius and perfectionist of the culinary world. But Riley, still fighting off the memory of a bad breakup in her love life, can’t ignore that he’s hot as fuck, too. Riley’s not the only one with thoughts outside of risotto or lamb sauce, as after completing a long dinner service Lucien invites the young woman over to his place for a bite to eat and maybe a little off-the-clock cooking lesson. Sure, maybe Lucien started this evening’s offering with purely platonic intentions. But after a personal lesson gets a little extra personal, roasted squash salad won’t be the only thing served on the kitchen island tonight. It’s time to give the phrase “Yes, Chef” a whole new meaning…

My favorite part of this story is how few moving parts there are to the romance. Riley wants Lucien, and Lucien wants Riley, meaning that there are no love triangles or other people to really worry about this time. Conflict arises (as you might expect) from their status as boss and employee. From my personal experience, it’s not wholly unfounded for the kitchen staff at your local Applebee’s to be inter-fucking and causing drama all over the place, but perhaps the finer dining establishments in Europe have higher expectations? The last thing Lucien needs is for anyone to think he’s playing favorites, and Riley certainly doesn’t need the notion that she might fucking her way to the top. What’s refreshing here is how Riley’s decisions will actually have significant effects on her professional life. There have been a lot of stories across my desk recently where the female lead needs either to: get a quality dickin’ from a slightly troubled man that can provide her a near perfect lifestyle, OR….just don’t and face no consequences. Riley actually has a career to worry about, and actively makes considerations beyond her orgasms. Moreover, the boss here, while a Dom with a capital D in the bedroom, actually seems like a regular guy when he’s around other people. Business decisions are proven to be done with an even and level mind rather than just some Mr. Big-shot power boss, displaying sensitivity at a crucial moment. In fact, the only time he seems to be losing control is when his new lover is naked and begging for his…input. The contrasts here make the sexual moments that much hotter, as we can feel Riley’s energy turning a fairly well tempered persona into a love crazed sex manic. It’s absolute dynamite and gives you something to root for beyond just wishing for a happy ending.

Verdict: Dirty Chef by Sarah Bailey takes the forbidden love of a boss and employee and layers it into a true love story that balances career, lust, heartache, and simply doing the right thing. With minimal core characters the love can serve as a character itself, manifesting quickly but meandering in some interesting directions as the characters explore each other. The sexual content is as good as we have come to expect from this author, with some great new ideas brought to the table as well. With a far less brooding/scary male Dom for a change, his sexual appetites shine brighter as his muse clearly brings out the best in him when things matter the most. I’ve sat down, I’ve enjoyed my meal, and after learning firsthand how Riley and Lucien like to eat their favorite dessert…

My compliments to the Chef indeed. Bon appetit!

Special thanks to Sarah Bailey for providing an advance review copy of Dirty Chef to TehBen.com. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Lucien is Rileys boss. She needs this job, he needs her working skills. So better do not mix sex with work. But they do. And now?

I loved the fact that they both fit together so well. Its very difficult to find someone when you work as a chef. Shifts , hard work and less free time. So I enjoyed that they both work together. And that they're totally different characters in and out of the kitchen. I always enjoy dirty talk, and this book has a lot. I also enjoyed the strawberries :). Nice to read something special . Lucien is very clear in his character, once he knows what he wants. He protects Riley on whatever it costs. And Riley is sweet and likable. Sure this is a Novella with a little more than 100 Pages, but it has all you need for a hot filthy read. Nice characters, a great story some background a hater and love that burns on high flames

If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. Lucien and Riley took it to the bedroom, and then back to the kitchen. He's as in control in the bedroom as he is in his kitchen. She is quiet, and a bit intimidated by him in the beginning. But he brings out her wild child. And her smart mouth. These two are so hot together, a taboo - he's her boss. And it scares her. I loved reading every single page of this book, the best so far of the Dirty Series.

Riley works in the restaurant with Lucien. He owns the restaurant and is the head Chef. Riley has only worked there for 4 months but she has had a super crush on Lucien forever. One night while cleaning up Lucien asks her if she is hungry. Well you know what he's hungry for as he's has a secret crush on Riley since he hired her. Love the interaction between the two. They are learning about each other but also loving each other. I enjoyed this story every much and look forward to the next book by Sarah Bailey. Man, I absolutely adore these fast-paced, steamy novellas from Sarah Bailey. They are SUPER hot but also laced with a poignant sweetness throughout. So, basically, you get all the feels AND some super-hot sexy times. What's not to love? Lucien is kinda rough around the edges, but that makes him that much sexier when he gets the protective feels for Riley. She's sweet but also goes after what she wants and is the perfect balance for Lucien. If you're looking for your next boyfriend, Lucien is an excellent choice! Happy reading.

Yes, Chef.

I loved this short, low drama, dirty read so much! Lucien and Riley are an amazing pair in and out of the kitchen. They were perfect for each other! Lucien is my favorite hero in this series. I couldn't get enough of him!

The author pulled me into the story from page one and kept me engaged until the very end. I really enjoy Ms. Bailey's writing style. If you're looking for some steamy short reads, I recommend Dirty Series.

This is the story of Riley and Lucien. He is the chef and owner of a restaurant and Riley is a chef working in his kitchen. They are insanely attracted to each other and one night they finally give in to their passion. It only gets better from here. I enjoyed this story with chemistry that sizzles off the pages. A quick read that delivers fire in the kitchen as well as fire in the bedroom...so to speak. Riley and Lucien's chemistry is so hot is combustible. This novella is definitely a page turner with plenty of romance along with a kitchen full of steam. I have a feeling that Sarah Bailey will be joining the shelf as a favorite author after reading this tale and I will also be picking up the other two books in the "Dirty" series.

Steamy and hot!

Lucien and Riley burn up the pages as well as the sheets. This book had me turning page after page without a sense of time. I just couldn't put it down. Reaching for your dreams doesn't mean you can't reach for and have love too. Losing all inhibitions with the right person makes for an off the charts read. Sarah Bailey hits it out of the park with another one! Is it a wonder she is a favorite author?! This is one story that deserves to be read over and over again.

Book 3 in the Dirty series kicks off with Riley Clark working a busy shift in the kitchen of her boss’ restaurant, Haze. We dive straight into the fire with her, witness the passion behind her work but more noticeably, the desire she harbours for renowned chef, Lucien Dumont.

He’s a gorgeous, intimidating man who exudes confidence and control. It’s hard not to swoon over a man like him but naturally there’s boundaries that can’t be crossed. Until…they’re crossed. I can only describe this book as fiery, passionate, and forbidden. Lucien and Riley burn for each other, the raw emotion they have for one another is obsessive, impulsive and rich. They’re a beautiful couple who does everything to make their relationship work even if it’s a risk to their dream job/reputation.

And like all of the Dirty men Sarah Bailey has written so far (Dom, Matt and Lucien), they have a pattern of perfect similarities. They are absolute gods in the bedroom as well as outside of it. They care, appreciate and love their women with a ferocity that makes these books successful as short, steamy romances. And that’s what romance is about. It’s about fantasy, the perfect book boyfriend and the ‘he’s irresistible’ swoon/sigh.

I absolutely love seeing Sarah explore her characters, she brings them out of the story and turns them into people you can relate to. With every book, I notice something new in Sarah’s style and it’s addictive and exciting. She’s definitely one of my favourite authors to go to when I need a romance or a HEA. She hasn’t betrayed me—broken my heart with her powerful characters and their complexities, yes—but she has never not delivered a HEA.

So Sarah, if you’re reading this, thank you as always for the sweet, steamy short, and I need book 4 now! I can’t wait to see how deep the rabbit hole goes!

OMG SO HOT A BRILLIANT READ!!!!
Riley Clark has got nothing to rush home for, she had recently broken up with her boyfriend of 4 years and although she was glad to finally be free, she didnt like going home to a empty house. So staying back to make sure the kitchens were spotless where she worked in Haze was no problem, especially as she felt closer to her sexy boss Lucien Dumont. She has the craziest crush on him and it was the main reason for the break up.
Lucien Dumont, outstanding
chef and owner of Haze after a busy night he comes down from his apartment that is above his restaurant to find Riley still cleaning down her station. He has had the madness of crushes on this girl, he finds himself asking her upstairs to have a bite to eat. But it isn't long before things get touchy feely. their night together is so hot and sexy and passionate but in the morning they both think about the complications of sleeping with your boss/employee (not that there was much sleeping)
This is about two people who need to work out what is more important. would this just be a one night stand?? could there be a future for them or would people think that Riley had slept with him to better her career??
I couldnt put this book down. It was hot hot hot but I also quickly liked Riley and Lucien. Riley comes across as a quiet, shy, focused on becoming a better chef and very dedicated. But once she gets close to Lucien she becomes a little sex kitten who knows what she wants. Lucien has strong family values, and has worked his butt off to get to where he is. He knows being with Riley could blow up in his face but when he is with her it just feels right.
This is a brilliant read. you will not be disappointed, so grab a cuppa or a glass of wine and get totally lost in their amazing story.

OMG, this book was crazy hot and steamy! Riley works in the kitchen of her idol, Chef Lucien Dumont. He is demanding, exacting, rude, and hotter than she knows how to handle. Her shy demeanor leaves her unable to believe that such a man would ever be interested in her. But Lucien has been attracted to her since the moment he interviewed her, several month ago. Finally alone, late one night, they give into their feelings. But Riley isn't sure she can handle the pressures of working for AND having a relationship with her boss. After breaking both their hearts and spending two miserable weeks apart, Riley decides she'd rather have Lucien as her boyfriend than her boss. Lucien refuses to let her career suffer, vowing to protect her from gossip and innuendo. Lucien is the ultimate alpha, and Riley is just soft and submissive enough to be the perfect complement to him. At the same time, she draws out the softer side of his personality, allowing him to be a more rounded person. Add in lots of sexy times, and this book is a great read!

Chef one of my favorite words. So is Lucians apparently. So he has a attraction to Riley ever since he interviewed her. So three months into this relationship of boss/employee being yelled that seem to be a normal thing. Like he said everyone else. So one night after staying extra long after the chef of cleaning up he finds her in the kitchen. Invite her upstairs for dinner. From then on everything goes extremely out of sorts and steamy. If they want already in a place that has exhaust fans for stoves they probably would’ve burnt the house down. Of course the dilemma is having a relationship with your boss. How does that work with the other coworkers? Are you an idiot for having an affair seems like an affair with your boss. So many questions so many steamy situations that could have an answer. Develop characters and realistic situations in the workplace are definitely things that needed to be tackled. A good read.

Lucien has wanted Riley since she first started in his kitchen, but he has fought acting on his feelings because she is his employee. Riley has wanted Lucien, but always thought it was impossible. One night after work though that all changes. After a passion filled night Riley is unsure what Luciens intent is so she runs and ends whatever relationship was building in fear of her reputation and rejection. These two have a fight on their hands in order for their relationship to work between fears and outsiders everything seems impossible. These two were great together and the story was fantastic. I can not wait to read what the author comes out with next.

This story was intensely HOT. Lucien the head chef has it bad for his employee....chef in training Riley. Riley always worshiped and had a major crush on her boss Lucien. A chance meeting alone after hours at the restaurant started an intense flame between the two that went out of control. The chemistry between the two was intense. It was nice to see their relationship progress and I was waiting for some major drama to go down that would mess things up...didn't happen which was great. Absolutely loved this book. I think this one was waaaaaaaaaay hotter than Riley's brother story from Dirty Cop.

Most girl dream about Prince Charming, but for Riley, it's the sexy hot and demanding chef in the kitchen that keeps her up at night. Lucien is everything she ever wanted or could have hoped for. Lucien is sexy, hot and demanding in and out of the kitchen, he demands excellence but at the same time there's a tenderness to Lucien that she never expected. Also, I recommend you read the first two books first.

Dirty chef is another hot short book by Sarah Bailey in the Dirty Dom series.

Really loved Riley and Lucian stories.

Riley have dream to work at Lucian's restaurant and got the job. Problem is she always has a crush on him even before working for him. Problem is since he's now her boss, it would be kind of inapropriate.

Lucian his also attracted to her from the beginning. One night he proposed to her to help her get better as a chef but one think led to another and everything change.

This is book three in the Dirty series. One is not supposed to mix business with pleasure but sometimes, it is so tempting, could it be worth it? This book is a shorter story but there is no shortage of sexy, steaminess and details. A great story of how sometimes that gamble, that chance that you take can change your life and be worth it.

Oh I loved this quick and steamy read by Sarah Bailey. Riley works as a chef and has a major crush on her boss Lucian. She is able to hide her crush until Lucian finds her in the kitchen alone after the restaurant closed. Lucian knows he should stay away but the feelings are too strong. The chemistry between Lucian and Riley is so hot, it could set your kindle on fire! Cannot wait to read more from this series!

When Riley got the chance to work in Lucien's restaurant it was a dream come true even if it caused her to break up with her boyfriend. Lucien was stunned when he met Riley he wanted her to work for him, but more so he wanted her, but relationships in work were never a good idea. Hotter then the kitchen and a tasty little number to read and savour.

I've come to realize that Sarah Bailey's book contains a great deal of chemistry and heat. And omg, it definitely kept my entire self engrossed and intrigued. Lucien had been attracted to Riley since the day she started and Riley felt the same way about Lucien. When one night opened that door and they fell through with blazes it also let in all the angst and insecurities. Filled with human emotion and angst, this was a great read.

I will definitely be reading more from this author and rereading this book.

Riley and the Chef

Loved this short read. It's full, starts with a bang and keeps going to the end. It's super hot! Riley has a crush on her moody boss. Lucien, the chef, is enamored by the little Riley but doesn't know how to proceed. Sleeping with the boss can cause problems!
