Brittney has been an avid reader since she can remember. Her parents' form of punishment for her growing up was taking away her books and making her go outside to play. She was born and raised in Southern California, with a brief hiatus in Arizona. She loves the beach, exercising, sleeping in, and cookies. She is an obsessive dog lover, although her affection currently has no outlet. Something that she is planning on remedying soon. She and her husband currently reside in the Rocky Mountains exploring and hiking as much as possible.
Jake is going, to his first outing with his teammates, and Pride since, his mom's passing. But, he can't seem, to get himself out of, the car. If it weren't for, Derek tapping on his window, and, Amelia's cheery greeting he might not, have gone in. Everyone greeted him, but, it was all of them staring, that creeps him out. Part of why he didn't want to come, he didn't want to be reminded of, his mom’s passing.
But, leave it to, Hartman their team captain, to put the word out, to let him be, in regards, to his mom. He was able to find out about all the pairings, engagements, and future weddings. The topic switched to Noah and Colby’s wedding in Mexico. They all said he was going, right?! He hedged his decision until, Noah’s hand rests on his shoulder, saying he has to. They even have, a bachelor suite with three rooms so, one is available for him. It's when Noah pleads for him, to be there, that he folds. And say, yes.

This is a great story of a man living his life, after existing in one. He wouldn’t have changed a thing, it was his mom. But, the grieving process is made easier, and, if not faster with the team, and, the Pride.
Is this the end? The last book of the series? I’ve loved this series and hate to think of it being over. Each book is so different. I liked this one a lot. It had the sense of sweet new beginnings even though it felt like an end as well. I got even more of a full of family feel in this one with all the Fury and their significant others. If you haven’t read others in this series there will be a lot of names thrown put there but you wouldn’t feel lost if you start here. Thanks to the author for this great hockey series! Rating: PG, clean
Losing a loved one or one's job is so hard. Once again, the Pride comes through for anyone they adopt. The wives and girlfriends of the Fury team are formidable, but they can be trusted to pull all miraculous things for those they love. Chloe never ceases to amaze me. I just love all the characters in this book and the series! Jake and Dani fit right in with the others. I love the backstories, the predicaments, and the romance in all of these stories, including this one. I have yet to be disappointed in any of the happy endings.
This is what happens in life, Jake went on vacation to a team members wedding after the loss of his mother who he had been caregiver to for 6 years. He met Dani the wedding planner and she lost her job, the ends of each of their chapters only to start a new one for each. I loved the story.
This is a sweet and heartwarming romance with vulnerable and endearing characters that will definitely steal your heart as well as touch your soul as they journey towards their own unforgettable unconditional happily ever after moment.
It was okay. It was simple, good characters but I didn’t feel like there was really a lot of depth. Characters were repetitive in their thoughts, things moved quickly. It didn’t really feel like anything built up. 🤷🏻♀️
Wow! This story caught me in the feels! With all the things Jake and Dani have happen in their story it will give you whiplash! Lol! I have to say I wish I had the Pride in my life! That group of girls is scary and everyone needs a Pride on their side!
Book 12/14 of the Utah Fury Hockey Series- Jake & Dani
TW:Cancer
The Fury decides to take a trip to Mexico during the off-season for Noah and Colby’s wedding. Jakes mom just passed away and is grieving, when they get to Mexico they meet the resorts wedding and event planner, Dani.
I liked this story for the most part, but it felt like we only got to know the female lead on the surface and not at a deeper level. Too much time was spent on the supporting core women.
