When Mike Radley offered to battle a minotaur to retrieve a pair of magical goggles for his goblin wife, he thought he knew what to expect.
He didn't expect to meet a lonely centaur hiding in his greenhouse.
He really didn't expect an encounter with a powerful naga in the labyrinth under his home.
And he definitely didn't expect a secret society of witches to camp out in his front yard, hellbent on revenge for killing one of their own and stealing their leader's succubus. Welcome to Radley's Labyrinth. Expect the Unexpected.
I didn't like this as much as the first book. There was just non stop suspense and action. It is hard to read a story with that much tension through. Tension really needs to wax and wane. With the title it is easy to understand what happened in this book. Anytime Mike found a new monster in the house, he pretty much ended up sleeping with her. I guess Mike decided that if life gives you lemons, you cut a hole and f**k that lemon.
Very good! with a rough patch or two. So, if you read book one, Radley's home than you have a good idea what's in here. Amazingly consistent with book one, like they were both written in a single take. There is character development wile keeping the characters true to themselves. A lot of action with further world building. But, ...Some of the erotic scenes were not very sexy, I'd describe one as cringey, the other as grotesque. (Surely something much better could have been done with those fairies) A much smaller gripe of mine is the sustained tension. Build tension, release tension Okay. but prolonged sustained tension is exhausting. Still those were small moments in a larger story that builds nicely from the book before.
A direct continuation of book one, it keeps the ball rolling and the dramatic tension up without getting too dark and miserable. As I write this I have the 3rd book lined up, so I won't waste a lot of time telling you that if you liked the first book you should like this one too.
Good action and story line. It is very smutty which I like. however the chapters are so excruciatingly long. I ended up having to resort to an audio book. each chapter is about an hour and 45 minutes which is not my preference and the reason for the low score.
Hawthorne's superb writing and romance continue in the second book of this series. I am obviously a fan at this point and cannot express my enjoyment of this series enough!
This is a very weird series. There are a lot of things about it that I find annoying:
-the series seems more like general erotica than harem - there are multiple characters/point of views (PoVs) that are independently having sex with others -the series switches PoV too much, too much time is focused on secondary characters -I don't find that any of the characters are likeable (except the little blue fairy LOL). Lily is downright evil. -why do so many people fantasize about having sex with humanoids with animal features and/or monsters rather than humans? I try not to think about this too much as the line of thought gets disturbing. -the MC is so inept and pathetic most of the time - he's usually pushed around like a passive doormat, frequently humiliated, masculinity is often attacked, once he ran face first into a wall and busted his nose, he frequently falls on his face, often needs to be saved from dying, frequently raped and/or used for non-consensual sex, someone made him eat his own jizz, very weak and incapable of self-defense, his abilities and strength never seem to increase, etc. -Most people use him for his magic dick/seed...and he happily allows it. It's a wonder he has any self-esteem.
-I can't believe that Dana was using Mike, first for his blood and then for his seed, and then cucking him with his soulmate afterwards. She didn't even have the decency to give him a bit of pleasure in return for his 'life-sustaining' gift. She just kept taking and taking, every time kicking him out and having sex with his lover afterwards. That is seriously messed up.
Yeah things really start kicking here. Its still got time for silly nonsense but the actual plot of Mike defending his home from evil magic jerks starts to kick in hard. He discovers a whole separate dimension labyrinth in his wardrobe to match the island in his green house. The harem expands accordingly but theres some just DELIGHTFUL interplay between the ladies trying to solve problems while mike is busy. From this book on stuff is gonna get complicated so i hope you can roll with shifting POVs. The final fight scene is to this day something i think of when i consider masterful scene construction. If this one clicks for you, get ready to be on this crazy ride for a while.
Another great monster girls harem adventure In the first book, Annabelle Hawthorne introduces Mike who inherits a house from his aunt. He discovers it is inhabited and guarded by monster girls. Some are magical, others are not. As he discovers the extent of the house, he also meets the people who want its power.
In this second installment, Hawthorne introduces new sexy monster characters, the house that grows and hides plenty of secrets. And Mike's opponents are back with a vengeance. Great read!
This is a direct continuation of the first book in the series.
Going over plot would not be useful in the review. Suffice it to say that there are more additions to the cast of monster girls, and one monster male. The bad guys attack and are repulsed. New maps are explored (as it were). And the plot is set up for a spin-off story (_Dead and Horny_) which will be parallel to the next book in this series.
All sorts of fun. And the monster girls are refreshingly fleshed out -- and are not just harem male-fantasy cardboard.
Really enjoyed the second book in the series, a few knew characters to meet, and we finally get detailed info on the high priest.
About to start book 3, though i did get kind of spoiled regarding the fate of Dana when i read the synopsis for "Dangerous Apetites" before getting to that part of this book, oh well.
Zel was a nice surprising introduction, though I was kinda hoping there would have been more interaction between her and Mike on a more intimate level, hopefully that'll be in the later books.
Fantasy Monster Girl Harem with Adult Situations I thoroughly enjoyed the first book, and this sequel lives up to the promise of the first. Mike meets new monster girls and fights for the home and the new family he in coming to love. The sometimes weird magic is well-described and the action is crisp. The characters are quirky, unique, and engaging. I can't wait for book 3. Highly recommended.
the story is well put together in my opinion the characters are well fleshed out sort of speak and the way they interact with each other make sense both the good people and the bad people. there is lots of action drama humor and a whole lot of spicy scenes which can be skipped but some of them are somewhat interesting and give a little insight into some of the characters.
This book continues exactly where the first one left off. There is something for everyone. I'm not into BDSM but the scene involving that was very tastefully done with some restraint. As such it was enjoyable. Again there is also plenty of action and a believable story. The book ends with a teaser for an additional book.
In this second book, our hero’s life just keeps getting stranger and his friends with amazing benefits keep the story pounding along. Devils aren’t all bad and you can never trust a mimic! The story is wonderfully crafted, sexy and suspenseful. A blazing, electric storm of a story. Loved it!
A great follow up to the first! The MC is a classic knock off of a hentia archetype, but the character building of the other people is slow and perfect. I need to know more!
Found the very first chapter on Lit. Honestly, I've read the full, up to date story a number of times already but this format helps the author keep the books coming. Read it! You won't be disappointed!
Really enjoyed the first book and couldn’t wait for this one either. And was not disappointed at all. Has all the same components from the first book and then just adds even more to make the book even better. Can’t wait for the 3rd book.
Definitely in my top five story series favorites. Really hoping that the writer will continue the adventures Mike is a great lead, and the whole gang get more awesome as they keep adding new friends.
The second of the series and just as good, if not better than the first. We meet some new characters, find out more about the previous caretaker and of course have some spicy fun sex along the way.
Wow, what a ride, I could hardly put it down and didn’t get enough sleep because I stayed up reading late. If you enjoyed the first book then don’t hesitate to get this one, you’ll love it, I sure did
Radley's Labyrinth is a brilliant follow up to Radley's Home for horney monsters, A good interest grabbing story with novel charactors and quite a fresh take on the fantasy aspect. Looking forward to more.
