Olivieblake really knows how to write a story. Their ensemble characters are some of my favorite. I love their writing and will follow them forever

I was obsessed with this series. I remember especially liking how olivieblake paid attention to her whole cast of characters (which isn't small), it made me want a special story focused only on them for all of them. Alas, I read it four years ago, so no thoughts or rating.

JKR is a TERF and I don't support her in any way.

The long awaited sequel to "The Commoner's Guide to Bedding a Royal"!
The characters ARE BACK! Their snipy dialogues, their amazing chemistry, their new set of problems - you are happy to be there for all of it with them!
The book ends with a bang and enough of a plot twist to promise a sequel - but I won't spoil it for you... Enjoy!

this was more enjoyable than the first fic because hermione came off as slightly less idiotic. i enjoyed the comedic effects of narcissa and rita, as well as an opportunity to look into the inner lives of the other characters. GOOD RIDDANCE NEVILLE! at times i felt that hermione and pansy were being used as political self-inserts which took me out of the flow of reading.

This was easier and faster to read than the first one, so there's that. Quite liked the characters and Hermione was a bit less dumb this time around.
Overall, pretty good.

Spanish/English Review.

As a sequel, this is everything and more. After that ending from Commoner’s, us readers were just left WANTING SO MUCH MORE, and this is the perfect sequel for an American girl turned Princess!

Hermione knew what she was getting into, but that doesn’t mean the road will be easy, and after a long relationship with a lot of roadblocks and issues, she is finally married to the love of her life, the next heir to the throne. What’s next for a princess? Well of course, having a baby and securing the royal succession. And how does the princess feel about this? Not so sure about it.

Following the same writing style from the first part of this fic, olivie blake does it so good, I laughed, I drama-d with the rest and felt a little bad for the princess who is too modern for the royals.

As I mentioned in the first part’s review, the characters are very well developed and what they go through together and how they are all a found family for each other is one of the best parts of this fic.

Seeing Draco and Hermione from the moment they met until now, with an even more diverse cast (Patil twin, I’m looking at you) and with characters from the first fic with more development (Astoria, I ended up loving you), Hermione navigating through this difficult path of staying true to herself as a modern woman who is also part of a monarchy that is somewhat archaic in its traditions and standards and her WHOLE (yes, all of it) day planned, from outfit fitting to dinners with unsavory politicians. And on top of that, HAVE A BABY SOON PLEASE? Reading her thoughts and insecurities on this, both on the fact that is something she should want but is also something she HAS to do, it makes an interesting read. The author did it amazingly. The fic’s ending left me wanting more, and even though it feels like a definitive and beautiful ending, it feels a bit open, but still manages to leave everything said and done in this AU.

No doubt one of the best fanfics I’ve read this year, and I want to read more by olivie asap!
