Two hurting people. Two continents. Two countries. And the same God, who sees them both and calls them to more.
For years, Quinn Cullen has overseen the panda conservation program in Houston, dreaming of an even greater future for the zoo and its research work. When she’s told that she’ll have to send her most beloved panda, Jin Bao, to China so that he can enter the breeding program in Chengdu, she’s both distraught and angry about the loss. To make matters worse, she’s been told that once she’s home from China, she won’t return to the same job position and that her wealthy father, the panda conversation program’s main donor, has other plans for her. She finds herself at a crossroads, fully feeling the emptiness in her heart and a hopelessness that leaves her breathless.
Hudson Robinson has spent the majority of his life in China and the last several years in Chengdu, leading the breeding program at the panda base there. His life in China isn’t just about his work, though, as he spends a good portion of his time and his efforts sharing Christ with those around him and leading a secret house church. He’s confident that he’s given everything to Christ – his work, his ambition, and his life choices – but still, there’s conflict in his heart over past hurts that have left him wounded. As his breeding program readies itself to welcome Jin Bao to China, Hudson is clinging to his own self-sufficiency and ability to handle anything, never guessing that God is about to change everything.
Mine is a story about love, loss, and letting God have everything.

Sweet love story of two panda experts. Which made the story even more fun! Hudson is Taylor's older brother who lives in China and Quinn lives in Houston working with pandas. She gets sent to Chengdu to bring a male panda she's raised from birth. She's extremely protective of Jin Bao and doesn't hesitate to let everyone know that.
Hudson immediately judges Quinn as certifiably crazy because of her mood swings. But over time he becomes drawn to her and invites her to his house church. There, she meets Mei, who we met in Taylor's story. Through Quinn's friendship with Mei, she eventually comes to know Jesus.
Enter in Hudson's former love...can he forget the pain Lily caused him and believe that Quinn will not betray him as well?
I loved this story!! I loved their trips to promote their facility. I loved their banter and early romance. I loved and laughed out loud at Hudson and Quinn's first time meeting each other and how he was...ummm..dressed....or not...lol I especially loved the pandas!
Quinn has it all on the outside! Rich girl with her dream job and living the life, but on the inside, she’s hurting and lonely. Hudson’s faith is not just something he has, it’s what defines him. China isn’t the safest or easiest place to spread Christ, but Hudson was unfazed. Loved the glimpse of Hudson’s parents and brother that we got. Catching up with previous characters is always good. Putting Quinn and Hudson together just worked on a beautiful level. Great book!
Jenn Faulk does it again with a beautiful story of Jesus' redemption in our messed up lives through the lives of Quinn and Hudson. What a beautiful, wonderful story. I could not put this story down until I was finished! Thank you Jenn for your gift of storytelling.
I always think the last book is my favorite...but this one is my favorite! I loved getting to know the characters and their love of pandas. I found myself not wanting to leave when the book was over.
I loved this book! Who doesn't want to read about pandas, enemies turning into friends, China, and more pandas?! Faulk handles lots of issues well, most relating to the different meanings of the title.
I never knew pandas were so interesting and fun until I read this book! I loved that is was different in setting and subject matter but still presented the gospel in such a clear way. And what a great beginning and end!
Another wonderful book from one of my go-to authors. I enjoyed the glimpse of China and loved the panda keepers and their romance. Most of all, I appreciated the encouragement to trust God with every aspect of my life and with my brokenness.
A good story about realizing that trust should be placed in God. Quinn and Hudson are good likable characters, can’t wait to read more of their adventures
This is such a wonderful story so sweet how they interact and fall in love with these pandas and then eventually with each other. I love reading stories that are set in other countries because you learn a little about the other countries and there animals and surroundings. Beautiful story Jenn
