Maddox Williams What happens when the bad stuff that's happened in your life outweighs the good in you? You take off the white knight armor and take matters into your own hands. At least, that's what Maddox thinks he needs to do to pay back the Reapers MC, the motorcycle club full of scum who's haunted him and his family's life. But things are never what they seem to be. She quiets his storms and soothes his rage. When he's with her, she gives him moments of clarity and reprieve from his grief. The only thing wrong with this rosy picture? She's the enemy. Though Maddox isn't a patched member of the Knights of Havoc MC, his story is so intertwined with theirs and his life changes yet again the moment they set foot in his town. **Though this installment can be read as a stand-alone novel, it is recommended that you read the first installment. Novels should be read consecutively.**
It only took me 16 years to pen and publish my first book and now...I'm hooked! As a newcomer to writing and publishing, I must say that this journey has been an amazing one so far. Join me on my adventures of love lost, love found, comedy and heartache. Feisty heroines, alpha males and happily ever afters galore!
Enjoyed this one pretty much. Glad there were no drastic or harsh decisions made regarding this couple. They both made a poor choice at one point, but especially Cami, the h, did make a super stuuuupid decision at one point. But nothing happened to the couple that they couldn’t come back from. Thank goodness. There were some sentences that had bad wording layout. The beginning of the book did have some rough point of view bouncing. But this authors writing does seem to be improving from the condition of previous books. It didn’t matter that he wasn’t a patched member since the story was so tied in with patched members. Didn’t like to see Mercy and Dakota worry if they could or couldn’t with a certain something. Hopefully in future books they’ll finally accomplish what they were working on and it’ll be mentioned in another characters book. Curious which Knight will get a book next. One of the prospects for Reapers seemed kind. Perhaps he came out of things okay and will come to the Knights. I’ll try more in this series. No cheating. No co nd om use. Plus perk there. No club girl drama. Not overly motorcycle heavy, perk. Would have liked a bit more of a unique heroine. Enjoyed Maddox. It never said how old Maddox was in this one. At one point it mentioned Cami being 23 I thought. Then next thing you know she’s turning 30. I think this was an error to say she was 23 earlier in the book. But glad it wasn’t an age gap romance.
Gave the 2nd book a shot. Much easier to read. It was an alright story. I know there has to be some drama and conflict in a story, it just gets old that the women are constantly doing dumb stuff. It would be nice to have a strong female who has the witts to protect herself...you spend your life getting beat...hey, maybe don't just walk back into the lion's den. Even when emotions are in the way. I get it though. I couldn't get through the first book so it's wishful thinking that a certain kind Reaper might be someone who isn't quite out of the earthly relm. That would be awesome. I also noticed that this author doesn't cross characters over well. I would think...and maybe I need to look...that the Prez would have his own story. Not being first, his story will be more flashbacks. Not a fan of flashbacks. Anyways, this book was an ok read.
I love the second book even more than the first. The character building in the books is great and I love how Ami has built on the characters in the first book and you see how there life is going too.
Loved this one, what started out as so wrong became so right. I must admit I had to really think about the choices Camilla made, but I did understand her in the end. Hope there is a next one.
Author Ami Van you really did an amazing job with this one. Maddox is everything and than some, characters are well developed, chemistry is great, there are a lot of funny moments but you can
Such a great read if you haven’t read Dakota make sure you read that as well. I wasn’t sure what to expect but they made me laugh cry and everything in between
