Brothers Black #7

Johnathan the Fixer

Rate this book
Roni
I don't know my past, I've lost control of my future, but I have a bullet for my present. Nough said.

Johnathan
That’s Roni, and that’s about as much as you will get from her. When you get to know her, you understand why. From the moment our eyes connected, I knew I’d be the one to fix what was broken. It didn’t matter that we were never supposed to see each other again. I couldn’t stay away from her, and she learned to seek me out when she needed.

Now… we’re inseparable. She’s the mother of my daughter and the soulmate I never thought I’d find. How the hell did we get here? I don’t know. What I do know is that the past, present, and future have collided, and the woman I love is going to flatten everyone connected to what started this, and I’m going to be right there by her side while she does.

Will we come out on the other side more damaged than we already are? Yeah, it’s likely, but the real question is, can our love survive?

So disappointed. After such a hyped up wait, this book did not live up to expectations. Ryan and Carmen's story was never completed and it ended on a cliff hanger, not even in epilogue form. Johnathan and Roni spent the whole book calling their child 'the baby' She wasn't even given a name in the story. Only in a character tree at the end of the book. And Johnathan was the brothers black resident Dom, who did not produce the goods. The actual epilogue in this book leaps forward 14 years to at least let us know what Ryan and Carmen's child is called Jordan. I re-read the whole Brothers Black series in anticipation of Johnathan's Book and feel cheated and I wasted my time. So, so disappointing.

Disappointed

I usually loooovvvee her books, but this one was disappointing. I had trouble staying engaged and I usually can't put her books dwn until Im finished. So many things that were an irritant. Another biracial woman with wavy hair and light eyes🙄, it felt like the story just kept jumping all of the place from all the previous stories with no real connection (I read all the other books but those events from the previous books didnt blend well), their "relationship seemed to drag on forever getting no where, their story didnt feel believable honestly. John and Roni dont seem likely even though I usually like opposites attracting. Their very weird "relationship" just doesnt seem believable for 4 years of limbo, "tension", him being totallyall in while she was not. Even the usual hot sex that has been eluded to with John seemed tame and skipped over often. All these loose ends that seemed to just be dropped Missy???? Was she lying and y didnt John ever figure it out, she just die and thats it after taking up such a long storyline? what was up with Torque? Honestly I was waiting on Logan and Misha's story, their seems more interesting. That's the other issue, you get invested in multiple ppls storyline over several books and never get ends tied up.

Confusing

BB7 was all over the place and so confusing that I was frustrated. Even the epilogue was a disjointed messy piece of work. It felt like I was reading several books at once. This could've been better if this had just been the story of Johnathan and Roni.

Loved it!

The ending to a great family. I am loving Johnathan and Roni she went through so much but made it with the man she loved by her side. The kids I can't wait until the next generation.

Good Job

This was a good series. I see there is still more to the story and I wonder where the ride will take us next. The epilogue was not what I expected which made this story feel unfinished. I dnt know what Blue was thinking but I am going to withhold my thoughts until later. I just hope there is some clarity bc the ending did not go with the book so, let's hope it gets cleaned up. Because of the ending, while interesting, I couldn't give this book 5 stars like I wanted to so, I give it 3.5, maybe even 4. I'm not trying to spoil anything but I expected the ending to reflect their story since was book seven of the Brothers Black series and it didn't. There were just too many unanswered questions and no way of knowing if future books will answer them. Toni and John are my favorite Brothers Black couple. I hope we see more of her and Val and Tasha. I want to know what happens to Torque. He has an interesting story and I hope we read about it. I also want to know what happened to and happens to Indigo. Lastly, please tell Misha's story. I've been waiting to read it. Anywho, I highly recommend this book and had the epilogue been better or different, I would have given this book 5 stars instead of the 3.5 stars leaning towards 4 stars I rated it.

The Fixer

Let me start off by saying this was such a perfect ending to the brother Blacks. I mean I wouldn't change a thing the wait and I mean I waited Blue but you did not disappoint. Answers to question from the previous series will be answer. The telling of Roni and Jonathan was just a rollercoaster of emotions I honestly did not see where it was going which was awesome because I felt like a passenger on their journey. Roni to most would not be considered easy to love you know them Black men sure to no how to pick a bad a$$ women as their ride or die. Woo child Roni was something but Jonathon was time enough for her. Oh and being able to see one of my favorite characters in Blues universe my girl Val and pairing her with Roni was pure entertainment. That get together with the girls was priceless I laugh so hard. This book is truly some of the authors best work. I can't wait to see what's up next because if it's anything like this book right here I know it's going to blow my socks off. Congratulations Blue this again was truly amazing to read.

Well, truthfully I am only rating because of the imagination/creativity....

In all honesty after waiting for THIS long for the finale of these brothers, I am a tad disappointed. I mean don't get me wrong, the creativity/imagination of MS. Blue, man it's epic and big, but I was truly counting on John to give Wyatt a run for his spot, but oh well, can't say it even made a dent.
John to me was the most curious and so put together, I just knew when it came for his time, his story was going to be the bomb and the beautiful love thing, with so much romance and so much protection and so much of everything, but sadly it was not that at all. John and Roni a match that was not made in haven nor was it a proper match at all. Not much physical description was given and so I can't truly comment, but I can say that Roni was just a confused chick since the beginning and I can't believe that John would be a such wuss. Definitely not Wyatt, my man!
The book started it out so good, so interesting, so exactly what I thought it was going to be that I was berating myself for not reading this earlier, but then it shifted. She gets taken, and it's so fire and so fine and so damsel in distress fine that I was salivating. And the rescue, CHILE, it was so hot and beautiful, I actually stopped, played solitaire, drink a glass of Rosé before I could continue and get ready to be blown away. Blown away, I was because from the rescue to the end, the shift that the book took, and the turned it embarked in, I was skipping lines in order for me to finish it. It felt as if, so much was a filing the pages and when it said it was getting to 4 years when actions came on, I was just over this book already.
MS. Blue is one of my top 5 authors that I will dropped whatever I am reading to get her books on kindle and for me to ever give such a rating, you know I must have been down. I mean there was so many questions: 1) who is Torque? 2) what's his real full name? 3) how about his history? 4) Natasha/Indigo is how old now? 5) what was Torque interest in her? 6) are they going to have a story and if not, more insight should have been given instead of dwelling how John is a Dom and yet Roni can't be a true Sub, duh....? I mean I have way more questions, but these were the ones that stood out to me.
In any case and nonetheless, I have to say, I am extremely happy to have finish with these brothers and was hoping for some Logan, Cole/Brooklyn, and the lots to have something but if it's to have so much intricate lives with the mercenaries and mafias and all, man, I will take a break. I mean I love the next mafia thingy but I prefer like in Wyatt's case, where you have a regular life, a life where we can relate with the ex coming for their own and all.... I surely hope that Jordan's is more of the man in charge than these new aged woman super heroes, if that is the case, I prefer watching it on TV than reading them.
So for now, the Blacks are gone; let's see what MS. Blue is cooking next (like to rock will do, eyebrow raised...lol)

All she wanted was a family to love her

Cherone aka Roni was a young woman who never felt loved by her mother or her father. Eliam Perez hid her away from his life until he couldn't but wanted to teach her how to be tough to get ready to run his business until those plans were hijacked by someone that was totally unexpected as an act of betrayal. Roni learned how to never showing her emotions and survive by using the skills from the "Toy Cop Academy" as she called it. When the Black Brothers rescued a group of young kids selected for trafficking, John Black's soul just spoke to her. He could not explain why he was drawn to her, and so was Val Donati.

John, the family fixer, had a problem he could not bring himself to settle. His crazy ex- arrangement ruined every time he tried to get things going with Roni, until Roni solved the problem herself. John was very patient because he knew Roni was "THE ONE" to accept him just as he was and at the same time would challenge him.

When her memory finally came back from several years of amnesia, she was a force to be reconded with. This time, she had the backings of the Black family and the Donatis. Together, they took care of business.

I loved the action in this story. The sexual tension between John and Roni was palpable. It was hard to read about the kids and what they went through in the trafficking prison, how they were abused used and broken. I was hoping that they all could have been rescued but then there would not be part of the story to tell. It was wonderful reading about the involvement of the Alliance members from previous books in this story. I'm still waiting for a book about Camille and Logan.

Brothers Black Book 7: A Great Ending To This Series!

This was a great ending to the Brothers Black series! We learn who was targeting The Black Family, Jordan's parents and answers to burning questions from previous books. This story is emotionally charged. The writing is a visualization of storytelling. Blue Saffire's sentence structure and word flow brings clear images to your mind. it draws you into the book. Your attention is solely focused on what you are reading with the turn of each page. Johnathan meets Roni at a vulnerable time in her life. Dealing with trauma in body and mind. But, like a Phoenix she rises, a strong, determined and confident woman. Johnathan is drawn to Roni, but he fights the attraction. He has a lifestyle where he doesn't want a love commitment, until Roni. Their connection is evident to both and everyone around them. Johnathan is a take charge, kick butt, alpha male. He is a fixer, as titled. He is caring and protective. Destroying anyone that threatens him, family, friends and his love. We meet again members of the beloved Black family, friends and extended family. The way their stories and this book plot interconnects and intertwine, is exceptional. Timelines crosses multiple books, that we love to read. This book has enemies plotting, building an association, getting justice and retribution. Packed with jaw dropping action, heart gripping and heart warming scenes. Laughter too. Add this book to your library. You will re-read Brothers Black Book 7, again and again. Falling in love with Johnathan, Roni, the entire Black family, other relatives and friends. So, grab this book, sit back and enjoy the read.

Speechless!!!

I am completely in ahh of how in the world you do it !!! So many books so many characters intertwined together through so many series. As John book came to a close it really boggled my mind as to how many characters there are in these series that I have had the great fortune to read.John and Roni had a long hard tough road to travel to get to their happily ever after but ,hate ,greed, torture ,lies ,betrayal, and family couldn't stop their destiny of being together. For 4 long years John waited patiently to capture roni heart and once he did he owned it .But I have one question that never was answered was missy ever truly pregnant with John's baby??Joe and cassie are my all time favorite, cassie don't take s**t from no one and I just love it.Over 25 books this one with 67 chapters and even now with the kid in the game this legacy could go on another 5to 6 years .I would really love to have their story of how it all really began now that would be the icing on the cake but from the way John and Roni book ends it's just the beginning there could be a lot to happen in those 14 years and as I said now the grands/kids should have their story told too.Blue you are in a league all by yourself ,hands down you truly rock !!!Thank you for years of good reading I look forward to years too come of more amazing reading from you .To give you 5 stars is a Insult to what you truly deserve but it's the highest they give but you deserve it 10 fold .I would highly recommend any and all books ever written by blue saffire .

Well written

Whist this was an excellent read, it was not quite what I envisaged. The relationship between John and Roni was not as electrifying as I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong g, it was good but there was something missing. From the time she was given to the traffickers I knew her aunt was responsible. I did not see the Dad involvement at all and that was a good and suspenseful touch, however I felt the author could have made better use of that narrative. Book 7 tied up some loose ends and linked some events from the other books - brothers Black 1-6 as well as he legally bound books. The ending could also have been tighter. I like that it laid the premise of other books telling the children story and that of Sammy. Looking toward to the brothers Black Christmas bonus which hopefully will tie up more loose ends, being us what to date on the family and set the scene for future stories.

Blue Saffire is an awesome writer and one of the best in holding and weaving together multifaceted characters so that each books weave together without leanings in a cliffhanger. Each book can be read as a stand alone. It takes a talented author to be able to do that. Whist this was not my favourite of the brothers black book I gave it 5 stars because it was another magnificent series by Blue.

Yeah This Is Good!!

This has been a long time coming ,the wait was worth it. We are pulled back.into a story that has been untold since Tony's story.(I think) We get a hitter that was in the making and boy does she comes out hard. The writer doesn't forget to tie in all that's happened in previous stories to keep.you in the loop and caught up just in case you might have forgotten. I love the complicated relationship that John and Roni have going. The fact that the fit like to missing puzzle pie.is so cute. There are moments where you are going to feel like you are overloaded with information, but you will welcome it once the questions are answered. But now as a lover of this family, I do feel a little cheated we didn't get to experience a little of John and Roni being pregnant. Also I so wanted a peak into what Torque and Nathasa's life was like getting to know one another and how sexy and as bad he wants to be Torque. This was really good writing and the action was so so good. The sexy sex scenes with John and Roni were just straight crazy,.sexy, and so cool. There are moments of humor that's spot on in all.the right.moments.. If you want in.on this family.again and.chance to continue your love affair with them ,then may.I suggest you get on broad.

Loved it!

It cannot be easy matching up timelines in these stories Blue I appreciate your time and effort doing this. I am and have ALWAYS been a series reader, so I have truly enjoyed the Black series. So excited to see that there will be updates, my favorite couple has always been Wyatt and Nellie, then Noah and Bean. But I digress.

Jonathan and Roni were such a complex couple. It took a lot for them to finally be together. Toni was so strong she persevered through her cold childhood, almost being trafficked by her aunt and dad, working through amnesia, while dealing with tons of anger, frustration, and uncertainties. John was too sweet and gullible when it came to his ex. John and Toni worked together as love interests I was routing for them.

Very good book. Has all of the elements that Me Saffire is known. We get to see some old and kinda new characters again . I am looking forward to seeing books about Misha, Logan, The tripletts, Brooklyn, and all of the other cousins. I LOVE seeing LaSalle and lil Sammy, Uri and Val as well. Any updates on LaSalle and Tasha are welcomed too. Thank you Blue for your hard work, keep it up! This from a happy loyal customer!

Wow, Wow, Wow

I love Johnathan. He was fairly quiet in the previous six books. He was so quiet, that you almost forgot about him. I love Wyatt, but Johnathan, man, he's Everything!
Toni was introduced in earlier books, and you weren't sure what was going on with her and John. But man Oh Manischewitz, they are Hot! Toni tasks a little getting use to, but because you love John so much, you want her to get her crap together.
John is the real deal when it comes to bring Alpha Male. He was also genuinely a caring person. This book did so much in bringing out his character and making you wish there had been more of him in the previous books.
Toni had so much carp, unfair, and crazy crap thrown at her, that it's a wonder she had any sanity left. As I mentioned earlier, she was actually a hard character for me to get into, but you know she loves John, so that made up for a lot.
The twists and turns in this story were Cray Cray! What I'm hoping and praying for, is now we will be looking at the young ones. Nice tease at the end. I'm so so sad to see this series come to an end, but you've set is up to expect more from the young ones!

Dare I say it?!

First of all- I’m sad to have completed this series. As much as I griped about the rollercoaster of inconsistencies, crazy unrealistic plots, grammar errors, and etc. I still will miss these characters.

And oddly enough- I don’t feel anymore aware of what is after this family than I did in book 2.

But I do know that my favorite of this family are:

1. John and Roni
2. Felix and Kaye (Dae Dae alone made them adorable)
3. Toby and Kamara

And the rest are just- ugh!

7 stories and I only really enjoyed 3- well enjoyed enough to keep me moving through the series.

This couple was hands down my favorite. I loved that neither loss themselves for the other. He seemed to love her strength and badassery as much as every other aspect of her.

I don’t know what happened in the epilogue. That was confusing. And considering this wasn’t the kid of Roni or John- it really didn’t make sense to me.

I’m considering reading more of this author’s work. Might check out Uri and Val’s story next

I Luv John Black

I luv all of the blacks. I like John Black’s character, but I hate Roni. The hero John Black is the truth and I luv this character like I do all of the Black family. Cassidy Black is hilarious.
I gave the book a 4 because as always you can see that the book is well written, detailed, and that research was done I feel like she didn’t compliment John at all. I wish Blue had either fixed Roni’s personality or written a different character for him all together. One that is indeed a bada**, intelligent, mature, grateful, and with common sense. Roni wasn’t that not even a little bit. They were not a match in my opinion. Roni was very immature and an ingrate. Heathers character went through way more than Roni ever did and she didn’t act like that. Roni is annoying and she got on my nerves the entire time so much so if another character is like that I promise I’m not reading the book.

Least Brother Black

Jonathan and Roni’s story just fell short in the Black Brother’s series. Compared to the others, the drama was lack luster even though the storyline was there. A woman found in a covert operation suffering from amnesia and a man willing to help her through it, should have been the icing but couldn’t seal the series. Missing was the dangerous drama like the other brothers had to protect their woman at all cost. Jonathan (John) wasn’t given that chance to protect and Roni though working on her identity didn’t go through much. Their story interacted with the other 6 brothers which was nice, but it just didn’t turn the corner to make it their own.

Ms. Blue is the truth when it comes to BWWM romance. No doubt her books are awesome and the thrill of the chase in love is spell bounding.

Mr. Fix It

I've been waiting FOREVER for the elusive Johnathan, and he did not disappoint. These fine Black brothers claim their women, go through hellfire and damnation for them, and make sure to give them babies. Every person in the Blacks realm is solid. If Cass doesnt like you, you're toast. She sees everything. That's where Ryan gets it from. John knew within seconds of meeting So no that she was his one. She was badass. All of the women The Donnas are. Val recognized herself in Roni and helped her home her skills. I will never get enough of this series. There can never be too many books. I look forward to each one. This is the mark of literary genius. Thank you Blue.

Yes!! Must read must read

Blue Saffire closes out the Brothers with Johnathan and Roni’s saga, and I’m here to tell you, Blue did not disappoint.

If you read interracial romance, and prefer only badass women and their men, but have never read one of her titles, you’re missing out. As this is the latest release I will give no details. I will say that the Epilogue gave me tingles!!! We get the next generation of badass and I can’t wait!!!!!!!!!

Please visit her website as there is a definite reading order as you will need to understand how all the families are intertwined. It is not my belief that any can be read as a standalone, but I swear you will devour them in no time.

The last of the Black Brothers to get his story, Johnathan and it was well-worth the wait! Roni is such a great heroine. She's a badass and after surviving sex trafficking and memory loss, she encounters Johnathan as his PI firm is part of her rescue. She goes to train with Briggs' crew in NYC, while Johnathan keeps tabs on her and his growing feelings for her develop over the course of 4 years. It's not an easy love story, it's complicated, as she is, but so is Johnathan. He's trying to put his "entanglement" with Missy to rest, but she continues to manipulate him into staying in her life. Anyway, I loved how all the characters from the previous Black Brothers books are tied in and also characters from the Hush series (which I have yet to read) are featured as well. This is such a great story and we get treated to an epilogue featuring the children of the brothers, now teenagers, that leaves off on a cliffhanger of sorts but I'm here for it. Great series! Recommended!

The last of the brothers and I am a little sad, but John (and Roni) did not disappoint. The Brothers love hard and hold their women in such high regard. The women are strong and make you proud. This made the series so lovable. Definitely, a page turner (as always) and I had a difficult time putting it down at bedtime. I could not wait until I had time the next day to finish.

I've read the whole series from Legally Bound to the Brothers and everyone else in between. It was nice to see how previous events and characters were interwoven. Honestly, I do not know how all the characters/ six degrees of separation remain straight in the author's head; this takes skill, which she obviously possess. Based on the ending it seems we may get a few spin offs, I cannot wait!

Another winner!!

I held off reading this and Ryan because I knew it would be the end of the Blacks series. I so wish there was a 60 something chapter book on the ladies hitter squad Val is putting together. I love hearing Uri say its time to Hush someone. LOL. It was great reading Tonight ANF John's story and having the events that were in the other books entertained onto this story. (Great work on the authors part). I love the part little Sammy plays in this. I can't wait for true next generation. Reading this definitely shows that you have to read the entire Legally Bound series. It brought little Sammy's premonition back to my mind. I love, love, love the Black family. Wish they had more sons. Lol.

1.5. This book was ??? I have to give it a low rating because so much was wrong with this book. The opening was good, but it was confusing right after. I don't like rereading scenes from previous books. There were just too many characters brought into the story and it was draining trying to remember who goes where and with what. It touched on several parts of the each of the six books before that.

John and Roni dancing around a relationship for four years (really). The story starts in the present and then goes into the past. Majority of the book is in the past. John and Roni aren't even a couple through most of the book. I can't see a relationship forming.

The end of the books sucks.

Wow 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Everything comes full circle with Jonathan and Roni (Cherone) relationship. The novel gives us information about trafficking and how Roni became so emotionally abusive and detached from thinking that she can normal life. John was not going to let that happen because he was there to slay the demons with her.
All throughout the series we were following the clues and Ms Blue
Gave us flash backs who Roni was , the attack on Black family Jordan parents and the involvement of the Alliance. The Black family so sad to this series end, but we have the children and other novels that we count on. This was a emotional charge novel and the characters for previous novels were on point.

Great book sooo worth the read

I love Blue's writing style. You ready ha e to the follow the story but you have to ready at least the first book to the series for it all to flow and make sense. This book was everything. If I had to question anything it would be Roni's child birth and her child's name. I literally have to wait til the end of the book and read the family tree just to figure out the child name. Also I hope the is a story with Torque . He was so sweet and protective. And last this fifteen year jump...???? I'm ready for it! Sammy and Jordan can't wait for the Black next generation.

🔥🔥🔥 yes such fire between these two 😍

I absolutely love the brothers black I really do hate to see this come to an end. Jonathan story was everything and Roni is exactly who he needs and has been waiting for. What a book!

First let me start off that I was beyond excited that this book has finally came out.

There is so many surprises in this book that i couldn't wait to turn the next page to read.

In the beginning of this book it was so heart breaking. So sad. Roni story had me in tears, feeling like my heart was in my throat.

I love how Blue Saffire really pulls her readers in with her books. I love that her books can really pull emotions from you. Happiness, sadness, anger, and etc.

I really enjoy this book and the many things you find out in it. And i guarantee that anyone who enjoys this series will too.

I chose this book because I am an avid reader of this author 😀 and I have previously read all the linked books 📚 leading up to this book 7, I truly believe reader need to have read the books in the authors recommended order as it does help to understand the characters. I love the close, tight family, the Blacks are. I would definitely recommend this book to all readers who enjoy, love, romance, female lead, kindness, thoughtfulness, patience, understanding what's right, caring sensual sex scenes 😊. Go on order your self a copy, we are blessed to have such an amazing writer in Blue Saffire 💙.
