Fake It #2

Miss Trailerhood

Rate this book
She disappeared from our lives without a word. I never expected to run into her at a Quik Mart in between jobs. What’s a guy to do when he finds his first crush? Follow her home, of course, and remind her of all the things she’s missing.

I didn’t know that holding onto Riley would involve living in a trailer park. Or keeping it a secret from my sister—her best friend.

Riley is completely at home with lawn-mower racing, beer-guzzling exhibitionists. She doesn’t think I can handle it.
Well, I’m going to show Miss Trailerhood that I’m here to stay—no matter what trailer-park mayhem she puts me through.

Love is patient, love is kind, love means buying a single wide.

Hilarious, swoony fun!

Oh, how I wish I could think of zingers on the fly and be all full of spontaneous wit and banter, but alas, that's not my talent. I always think of things to say way after the fact and they're never as clever as I'd like them to be. However, that is so not the case with this delightful cast of unlikely characters.

Riley, who is guardian to her teenage half sister, Wren, and Nate, her best friend's brother, and their quirky trailer park neighbors had me practically rolling around on the floor in laughter. I was fascinated and utterly entertained from start to finish. I adored everything from trailer park life to the Instagram influencing account to the lawn mower races to the persistent drops of romance that spun around in my heart and mind like a pesky fly.

The bewitching romance was the icing on the cake for this story full of quips and antics. I couldn't get enough and I'm so happy that I've found a fantastic new author to read.

Content: mild romance; vague talk of past abandonment and drug use.

Sip

♡Miss Trailerhood (Fake It Book 2)♡
By Carina Taylor

"Love is patient, love is kind, love means buying a single wide."

I resived an early copy of this one and read it in one day! It can be read as a stand alone but I highly recommend reading Mr. H.O.A (Fake it Book1) first. Miss Trailerhood is a fun, fast pace, clean romance and I really enjoyed it.
We follow Riley best friend to Nola
(from book 1) and Nate who is Nolas brother.
It was fun seeing old charcters and the crossovers. Both books take place at the same time which I thought was a clever way to tell the stories. As you can see I loved this read and love basically anything Carina Taylor writes!!

❤Romance❤
Lots of kisses
Nothing more

All thoughts and opinions are my own, thank you Carina for the ARC!

Lots of this book was fun to read, but the hero’s reasons for secrecy got old and the heroine was a bit irritating here and there. Still a cute addition to the series.

4.5 stars.
Carina provided me an early arc of this beauty and i can’t be more happy about it.

2 years ago, Riley ran away from everything and everyone she knew. Receiving her little sister’s legal guardianship and her fear of everyone she cares about abandoning her, she decided that leaving first was the right move, but she couldn’t be more wrong about it.
Nate is Nola’s (Riley’s best friend) little brother, a pain in the ass and the one person who always found a way to annoy Riley. That was before she left, before they spent almost 3 years without news about Riley, but when Nate runs into Riley, he knows he won’t lose her again, so in order to do that, there is no better option that buying a single-wide in the same trailer park that Riley lives in.

Omg this book! It made me laugh so much it, my stomach started to hurt.
I knew NOTHING about trailer parks, and this book taught me everything i need to know; how the people there see each other as family, how they help each other and how they care and defend anyone who needs it.
Riley is stubborn, has a temper, and cares a lot about anyone she loves. Nate is a nut head, enjoys Riley’s temper and also cares about everyone he loves. Despite being so different in a lot of things, they have that in common, and that is why i think they are perfect together.
Family is a huge deal in this book, and what i loved is that it shows us that families aren’t always a mom, a dad and 2 kids, because Riley and Wren, her little sister, were all the family the other needed.
Reading this book, i realized how important is to show yourself as you are, because people who love you, will do it no matter what.
The only little thing that would have made this book a 5 stars would have been if there was a bit more about Nola, but anyway, i highly recommend this one!

Two words: lawnmower racing. 😆

This fluffy romcom was delightful. The writing could have used a little more editing to catch repetitive words, but O stayed for Nate and Riley’s rapid-fire banter. And the trailer park setting was entertaining to say the least.

Let’s talk about the hero.

The annoying little brother is all grown up. Well, mostly. Nate still likes to get a rise out of Riley.

He is also ridiculously cute in an over-protective-older-brother sort of way for Riley’s younger sister. The moments he gives her advice or helps pull her out of a teenage relationship slump are the cutest.

AND Nate is a big flirt and pursues his woman with intention. A couple of the kiss scenes were a little more descriptive than I would have liked, but they definitely have chemistry.

“Why aren’t you asking me questions?”
“Because I want you to answer when you’re ready. You think I’ll leave you, hurt you. We’ll I’m here to show you I’m here to stay. I want you to trust me. I’m not going to demand answers from you. I’m not going to ask my Dad answers that I’m certain he has.” He looked at me knowingly. “When you’re ready, I’ll be here.”

Overall I wish this had been a tiny bit cleaner, but it was so sweet and fluffy I still really enjoyed it. 4.3⭐️

A couple examples of the redundant use of words:

I knew if I were to peel those sunglasses off his green eyes would be sparkling. The sun always made those green eyes sparkle.

…when she saw me pulling into my driveway. Rilee looked a little too gleeful standing in my driveway.

Audio: great

Content: some descriptive kisses, mild language, occasional innuendo, waterfight while washing car in bikini, another scene of him carrying her while he was shirtless and she was in a bikini, a mention of falling asleep together on a futon but nothing happens

I loved this! It was funny, sweet, and I read it in like 2 hours! I have not read many of her books, but I am definitely reading more after this. It was so fun!
Nate is shocked when he runs into Riley at the supermarket. She disappeared from the lives of his family without a trace. After the shocking meeting, he follows her, determined to figure out why she left and convince her to let him back in. He never expects to find himself in a trailer park keeping Riley a secret from his sister, her best friend. No matter what, Nate is determined to show Riley that he is here to stay.
Riley was hilarious. I loved how she took care of her sistren. She sacrificed so much to make a place for herself and Wren. Even though she had fears and regrets, she was surviving. When Nate came into her life again, she was shocked and a bit scared. She had to deal with insecurities and fear. Nate was so stubborn. Riley was trying so hard to get him to see that he didn't fit in the trailer park and he was trying just as hard to prove her wrong. He was so willing to try almost anything. I loved their relationship. They had already known each other, being childhood friends (and in Nate's case childhood crush). So they could still read each and they had so many memories.
All the supporting characters were hilarious! The trailer park was full of quirky and entertaining characters. They definitely made the book more fun. There was some very funny dialogue!
I would totally recommend this book! It is a lighthearted read that will make you laugh! It is very clean, but with one or two innuendos. It is for anyone looking for a rom-com in a book!

Fans of romantic comedies, this book is a great, clean and fun read you'll want to check out for sure! Miss Trailerhood follows the story of Riley and Nate who are reunited (to Riley's utter terror) after two years. Riley ran away for reasons the reader learns to understand as the story unfolds, though Nate and his family could never understand why she disappeared on them. Nate was in love with Riley before so when he gets a chance to learn some answers he isn't giving up easily even if that means buying a trailer and moving into the trailer park just to further annoy Riley. I loved the chemistry between the two characters. I would have liked a little bit more depth to their romance, but I also give credit to the fact that we know up front as readers that they have a backstory so the "insta-love" isn't really all that instant. Their actions at times were a little over the top or borderline juvenile, but they also created a humor which was great and I loved the whole trailer park family. Lawnmower racing, that should be a thing if it isn't somewhere already. :) This can be read as a standalone, but I would definitely recommend reading Mr. H.O.A as this story takes place on a similar timeline and intertwines in a fun way.
The romance is sweet with good kissing, but nothing that would move it from a clean romance to something spicier. I laughed out loud a few times and easily read this in one sitting.

First of all, I want to start by saying that this book is part of a series (Fake It) and I was unaware of that when I got the book in my email. I thought it was the first book in a series, but turns out I was wrong. It can be read as a standalone, but other reviewers have advised to read the first book in the series Mr. H.O.A. (Fake It #1) since both books take place at the same time, taking into account that the main character in book one, Nola, is best friends with the main character in book two, Riley.

At first I did not know what to make of this book and its plot, not because it’s bad, but because somehow to me it was hard to get into at first since I wasn’t really sure of what was going on plot-wise. That is basically why I struggled with the rating, deciding between 2 and 3 stars in order to give future readers an idea of my opinion on the book. That is why, I want to say that this book is your kind of book if you’re looking for a fun, light, fast paced read. The romance is really cute, Riley and Nate know each other from childhood and reconnect after two years of not knowing anything about each other.

To be honest, one of my favorite things about this book was the sisterly bond between Wren and Riley. The author could have written a book about them chilling on the sofa while watching TV series and I would have read that. One of my favorite things in books is the family component and I enjoyed seeing how they stood for each other every step in the book. Apart from that, we get to see many secondary characters that are the comedic component of the book, they are the ones who add to the entrainment of the book and bring funny scenarios and dialogues.

Most of the romance books I read are historical and a little deeper but it’s been fun recently to dive into some clean rom-coms. Carina’s newest release was super fun and I think I am officially a good rom-com fan! I admit I was a little unsure about the premise of this book—a story based in a trailer park just didn’t feel like it had a lot of potential. Yes, I judged the book unfairly and I know better. I trust Carina better than that now.

Not only did this book flesh out so beautifully, it was witty and funny and had some great character development! I loved getting to know Riley and watching her change and grow over the course of the book. She is spunky and independent and fiercely loyal, but also so vulnerable and hurting. Nate is super clever and I kept cheering him on from the very beginning! I loved that he stubbornly wouldn’t let Riley try to bowl him over or push him away, and he was just pushy enough back that she trusted him without feeling like she needed to run away. Wren is also fantastic and I love her! Please please tell me we’ll get a story just for her someday.

I am not usually one who likes stories where the love story falls into place too quickly, but this story was offset by the fact that Riley and Nate had known each other for years previous to this. I liked the aspects of their history that would get brought up, especially how the memories of it would encourage either of them to look at the other differently. That was well done.

Also, the postscript about the mouse was perfect. Even though Nate and I could bond over our mutual hatred for the little rodents.

Note: steamy kissing, no details. No swearing. Really quite clean.

it wasn’t bad…but good isn’t the word i would use either. meh is probably the word i would use.

this was just weird okay? like the plot felt awkward and unnatural. the characters didn’t act like real people at all. also the drama just wasn’t developed right. it was always resolved before it ever really began. the romance wasn’t good either. their whole relationship was so forced and it just never really got good. the tension didn’t have enough time to build so when they kissed it just was like, oh, okay we are doing this now.

my full thoughts on this book are just that if you want to read something that means nothing and doesn’t make you feel anything but is mildly entertaining, then sure, read it. i honestly think hallmark movies have better drama and storylines than this.

Miss Trailerhood is the newest in the Fake It series by Carina Taylor. Like Love on Willow Loop and Mr. HOA, this was a laugh out loud clean rom com and I loved it! Even though this can be read as a standalone, I would HIGHLY recommend doing yourself a favor and reading Mr. HOA first. Readers are introduced to Riley in that book and it will mean so much more when her background story is finally revealed in Miss Trailerhood.

I absolutely loved the banter and the chemistry between Riley and Nate and the fact that they had such a history because they grew up together made it even better! What made this story even better were all the quirky characters in the trailer park and all their crazy antics like lawnmower races. Hilarious!!

What I have come to appreciate in a Carina Taylor story is that she can write a clean lighthearted romance with lots of chemistry that also keeps me laughing. I look forward to more books by her in the future!

This was my first time reading a book by Carina and I was impressed.
First off, the personalities just jumped off the page. All of Riley's neighbors were great and I really liked their life-like interactions with each other. Also, lawnmower racing is great and I liked seeing a book include it. :)
Secondly, this was an easy read. It had serious moments scattered throughout the book, but this is a great one for a rough day or when you just need some fun in your life.
I was a fan of the character relationships. I could just feel how much Riley loved her sister and how she hurt after the event that separated her from her friends.
After reading Miss Trailerhood, I can say that Carina is going to be an auto-read author for me.

Riley was shopping for chocolate chips for tonight’s cookie baking with her half-sister, Wren. But distracted as she left the store, she ran into someone – face first – from her past. Not wanting to see him, she squeaked and ran past to get out of his sight. The past would have to stay in the past, whether she wanted to hug him or not! She ran all the way back to her trailer, relieved that he would not find her and could not follow her. A knock at the door had her limping over – she had cut her toe on the run back and it was bleeding – and she opened the door for whichever neighbor was visiting. Instead, Nate Mercier stood there, grown-up, handsome, and scowling angrily. Riley had disappeared two years ago without a word to her best friend, Nate’s sister. He wanted answers! His sister made up lies for herself to understand why Riley would abandon them. But Nate just couldn’t figure it. They were all so close that this made no sense at all. But Riley made it clear that he had to leave and asked him not to tell Nola he had even seen her. After he left, she cried her eyes out.

Riley was curious whether Larry and Patty had moved yet. It was quiet at their trailer across the street. Eldon, next door, confirmed that some fella paid cash that morning as they were loading their things. He was clean-cut, so not a drug dealer, and they all speculated on who was moving in. Johnny got paged and had to run off. He was an undercover cop, but the entire trailer part knew it. When the new owner pulled up, Riley was panicked to see Nate! He carried a box to his kitchen, and she ran behind him to carry it back outside. She would not allow him to move in! So he went back outside and brought his box back, opening it and hanging a picture on the wall to make it home. How was Riley going to deal with this?

This book totally surprised me and I loved every minute of it! The banter between Riley and Nate was perfect! Their trailer park neighbors were the best ever, showing love and a feeling of family among the quirky activities that kept me laughing. Lawnmower races, anyone? Every neighbor knew everyone else’s business but took care of each other no matter what – the perfect definition of family! Grab your copy and enjoy a heart-melting story that will pull the reader right in. And gas up your mower – you’ll be expected to participate in this one!

𝘕𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘱𝘶𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘦 𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘦, 𝘸𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘳𝘮 𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴. 𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘰 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵?

So, I fell in love with Bane from Mr. H.O.A., and I honestly didn't know what to expect from Nate in Miss Trailerhood. But guess what?

I FELL IN LOVE WITH HIM TOO.

Carina Taylor ALWAYS writes the swooniest love interests though, so I'm not the slightest bit surprised by my strong feelings for Nate. 😂😍

While the romance was definitely there, I loved how the book also focused on healthy friendships and the importance of family. Riley struggled a lot with trusting others, and my heart hurt for her because I've been there...it's not always easy to let people in. I also thought it was wonderful how the "fake it" aspect of the book was portrayed; like trusting others, being your genuine self can be hard at times, and I think both subjects were addressed very well.

As far as content goes: The book has one curse word, one possible "bad word" (depending on what you consider as language), and some light innuendos. Also, Nascar Jim (a neighbor) was only wearing his underwear at one point. There was some sizzling kisses, and some swimsuit descriptions, but nothing that made the book feel "dirty."

The characters were beautifully flawed and real. The romance was 100% swoonworthy. AND some familiar characters from Mr. H.O.A. made an appearance, which was absolutely wonderful. 😉👀

In short: Miss Trailerhood was a cute, breezy read with lots of humor and heart...one that I most definitely recommend!

I WANT MORE! There wasn't any moment where I wanted to stop reading, it was that entertaining.

This is the sweet PG-13 kind of romance, a little of it belonging in the "my bestfriend's brother" trope.

With the book being less than 200 pages, I don't think there's anything missing. We have the entertaining to and fro banter, the sweet, doting love, tons of hilarious scenes and a happily ever after. This story has the perfect mix of everything.

Riley is independent, headstrong and responsible, while Nate is charming, annoyingly cute, thoughtful and the type of guy you'll always want to have a relationship with, even if it's friendship.

I couldn't keep the smile out of my face throughout the story. Nascar Jim & the mouse incident made me laugh out loud and yes, I did receive weird looks from my brother. @CarinaTaylor thank you for introducing me to lawn mower races & keeping us updated about the mouse. Good to know he's safe and content with his family.
.
.
The story is based in a trailer park of rural Oregon.
Riley has responsibilities now which she cannot leave. Leaving two years ago was necessary and staying away from everyone from the past is too.
Nate is the annoying brother of the bestfriend, but now he's gonna be more. Bumping into Riley has rose his want for answers and this time he'll do anything to keep her in his life.
With the past connection rekindling and feelings getting involved, maybe giving in won't be as bad as she first thought.

He took a step backward and tripped-he really should have looked where he was going. It wasn’t my fault that I needed to stretch my leg right as he moved.
A large hand latched onto my shoulder he steadied himself. “A little petty, even for you, Riley.”

“Are you here to ask her out?”
I glanced down at my watch. It was seven o’clock in the morning. Of course I wasn’t there to ask her out. I spun around and stepped through the door to stand on the threshold. “Do people ask her out all the time?”
The girl shrugged and rolled her eyes, making her look younger than I’d originally thought. “You’ve seen Riley. I bet you could answer that yourself.”
I nodded slowly. Riley was beautiful.

Well, I didn't need a hero. I was the hero in my story. It was the way it had to be. Heroes were for fairy tales.

Nate turned to me. “Ha! She called me buddy. She likes me, and she said I can keep you, so I like her, too.”

Riley disappeared from our lives without a word. I never expected to run into her at a mini mart in between jobs. What’s a guy to do when he finds his first crush? Follow her home, of course, and remind her of all the things she’s missing.
I didn’t know that holding onto Riley would involve living in a trailer park. OR keeping it a secret from my sister-her best friend.
Riley doesn’t think that I can handle the trail home life. But she has no idea what I would do in order to be in her life. Love is patient, love is king, love means buying a single wide.

I enjoyed this one more than the first book in the series, Mr. H.O.A. The story was fun, sweet and entertaining to read. I love the banter and the chemistry between Nate and Riley. The relationship between Riley and her sister, Wren, was so sweet to read. 3.75 stars.

I loved this novel. The concept and idea were new and I loved that about it.

The story follows Riley and Nate. Two years ago, Riley ran away leaving Nate and his sister, Nola behind. That had been best friends for quite some time and when she left it hurt them all. Now they meet again, in a grocery store. Nate follows her to her trailer and confronts her. She shoos him away after she tells him she doesn’t miss him or Nola. But he sees the tears in her eyes. The next day he buys the trailer across from her. She comes over and tries to push him out of his new home but doesn’t succeed judging by the fact that he is no longer a skinny, lanky guy. He also learns that she has a sister. Then she decides to show him how life is around the Trailerhood and somehow get him out. But he is there to stay.

This story had so many emotions and ended with happiness. I loved the sense of family and friends in this novel. It was devoid of mature scenes and language. All the characters grow in this novel. They all see life from a different perspective. All of her Trailerhood friends were so funny and easy to imagine. Riley’s antics were also hilarious when she was trying to get Nate to go away. I liked how fears were shown in this novel and how every bit was explained.

Double wide love in a single wide setting

This is a sort of follow-up or companion to Nola's story in "Mr HOA" about Nola's brother Nate and their long-lost BFF, Riley.

Like Nola's story, for some reason I had a little difficulty getting into this one initially as well. I'm not sure why, but it just didn't engage me at first. Not even the lawnmower racing which was an amusing idea, but I didn't find it that funny.

However, once it kicked in for me (this time it was more than 30% of the way in), I really enjoyed it. If my rating started from that point, this probably would have been a 4.5 star review.

While the story touches on some serious topics, it's never to the point that it loses its lightheartedness or sense of humor. I enjoyed the dialogue between the characters and the relationships depicted.

The ending is generously warm & fuzzy, though it was a little more vague about their direction than I would have liked. So, it had a few issues for me, however, I still definitely enjoyed the story & enthusiastically recommend it

*Romance level: passionate kisses, nothing graphic; there are a few times where the main characters literally sleep together but it's nothing physically intimate

What a cute read! I was a little skeptical at first. As someone who spent some of her younger years in a trailer park, I'm always a little defensive when people start to talk about them. So I was a little on edge until I realized that the author was creating a community of quirky characters that are genuinely lovable. Rather than making fun, she highlighted the best parts of living in the community . . . while also highlighting some of the redneck glory. (I can say that because I appreciate the redneck glory.)

Nate and Riley are adorable! There were a few times I grew frustrated with Riley simply because Nate was trying so hard and she was pushing him away with just as much force, but it was true to her character--to the fears and insecurities that she struggled with. I loved Wren's sassy attitude and her interactions with Nate. But most of all, I love a good ending and this book certainly delivers. It was perfect.

This was my first read from Carina Taylor, but it was cute and I definitely want to read more from her!

This one was so cute and fun. I really enjoyed Mr. H-O-A, the first book in this duology and was excited to dive into this one.

Things I Loved:
•Nate: What a book boyfriend! Nate was absolutely wonderful. When he found Riley, he was determined to show her that he was going to stay and could be a part of her life wherever that was. I absolutely adored him.
•Wren: Riley’s sister Wren was awesome. She was funny and honestly pretty wise beyond her years. I loved her little pep talk she gave Riley.
•The Trailer Park: Y’all I love some quirky side characters and the fact that this novel takes place In a trailer park provided all the quirkiness. The mouse scene in Nate’s trailer had me cracking up. But even in their quirkiness they were all so loyal and protective.

I have really enjoyed Carina Taylor’s stories. I’ve read a few so far and she always had some element to the story that I never expect. This was a fun one and I can’t wait to read more.

This is a clean romance with no language or innuendo.

The rating says 3 stars but my heart says 2 stars. I just can't bring myself to rate this 2 stars because the book is fine and is written well I just didn't enjoy reading it. This is one of the few times I can say that this is completely subjective.

I just didn't enjoy the main characters. They weren't bad. They were fully developed and sympathetic but I didn't connect with either of them. As this is a contemporary romance if I don't bond with the two main characters what else is left for me. So this was a reallll drag to read and I know I won't re-read it ever. It's also an added shame because the first book I read from this author 'Neighbours Like That' remains my favourite read from her. The reason it's a shame is I'm now on the cusp of wondering if that was a total fluke for me. I've re-read Neighbours Like That and still love it, but I haven't had that same joy with any of Taylor's other books.

Mmm, shame.

I will fully admit that I am a little picky with my rom-coms. I love the genre but can be hard to find those ones that successfully balance the humor without going over the top into the realm of unbelievability. When I stumbled upon Carina Taylor’s books I immediately fell in love and binged them all, which then left me desperately waiting for this book to come out! Mr. H.O.A. (book one in this series) was one of my absolute favs of hers and I was so excited to get to know Riley and figure out what had happened!
I loved both Nate and Riley and together they were so much fun! The fact that they’d grown up together and had so much history gave depth to their romance and I loved watching them get together! I really valued Nate’s dedication to winning Riley over and his refusal to just leave her. I understood Riley’s fears, especially when you considered her past and all the pain she’d endured. I loved how Nate didn’t dismiss or belittle her fears but loved her through them-it was the absolute sweetest!
The characters in the trailer park were definitely entertaining but I loved that she didn’t just make them all obnoxiously eccentric-they had their unique personalities and there were definitely some oddballs but they were realistic.
In short this was a wonderful follow-up to the last book and I’m already anxiously awaiting what she has in store for us next!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are my own.

This was such a cute, fun, clean read! It was really quick paced, which I appreciate. This book is set at the same time as Mr H.O.A. which is the first book of the series and focused on Nola and Bane. While this can definitely be read as a stand-alone, I suggest reading them in order. Both books are written with great storylines that are full of heart and humor. In this one, we learn more about Nola’s best friend, Riley. She and Nate, who is Nola’s younger brother, accidentally find each other after Riley had disappeared from their lives. There is great rapport and lots of witty banter throughout the book. This is low steam but there is still plenty of great chemistry between the two characters.
Thank you to the author for the privilege of letting me read this arc in exchange for my honest review.

“There’s a time and a place for thriftiness, and lawnmower racing isn’t it.”

This book is so fun! I loved it! I haven’t read the first book in the series yet, and you don’t need to read it to enjoy this book, but I bought it before I finished reading this one. 😂 Nate’s friend Riley disappeared from his life without a word two years ago, so when he runs into her in a convenience store, he has to follow when she runs away. Riley knows Nate won’t fit into her trailer park world, and she’s determined to prove it to him.

I love Riley, Nate, Wren, Eldon, Johnny, Gunrunner Gabe, and especially NASCAR Jim! 😂 And I’m excited to go back and read book 1: Mr. HOA!

This book was adorably sweet. I consider this almost a second chance romance, or maybe more a friend’s to lovers. Riley is the kind of heroine we love to love. She is strong-willed and doesn’t need anyone. She can protect herself and her sister without any guy. Until her best friends happens upon her by accident. Oh and the moment Nate walks back in Riley’s life the fun banter ensues. I loved the funny moments entertwined with the heart felt ones. It never got too serious which I loved because let’s be honest, the real world is hard enough. Plus the ending was perfect. It was not that little cherry on top of a wonderfully delightful story. I highly suggest you grab it!!!

Disappointing

First, the info in the previous book in this series about the female love interest did not match the info in this book--at all. In this book, her character was inconsistent and disjointed; the pieces of her did not fit together logically. Secondly, the author cheated herself by not using a good editor, so there were unforgivable grammatical errors. I loved the first book in this series, which I got free, and bought this. This is like it was written by someone else. I feel cheated.
