Book Five of The Law of One is comprised of the 56 fragments of personal material that were originally omitted from the first four books of this series. Both Jim, the scribe, and Carla, the instrument for the Ra contact, have added their comments to these fragments to give the reader an idea of what it was like to be part of this contact and to show how every persons experience can be used for personal growth and service to others. A wide variety of topics is covered, from Eisenhowers meeting with extraterrestrials in 1954 to UFO/government conspiracies, Wanderers, sexual energy transfers, anger, balancing, Aleister Crowley, the Tunguska crater in Russia, pre-incarnative choices, psychic greetings, alternate and orthodox healing modalities, the ball lightning phenomenon, and the many facets of the spiritual journey in general.
Book V of The Law of One was originally withheld from publication in the first four books because it is predominantly of a personal/sensitive nature due to the authors’ belief that if the material was included, it would be easy for readers to become overly interested in the personalities behind this information, rather than focusing on the information itself. The authors’ in their hope that they may be able to use this same information to illustrate the general application of this material to all seekers of truth. They are certain that this information has general application to people all over the world because they are people just like us, with the same range of human emotions, the same strengths and weaknesses, and the same desire to know what is loosely called the truth. Book V is broken down into 56 fragments of personal/sensitive information. Each fragment provides an opinion from first Jim and then from Carla on a particular session with Ra, mostly of which is personal/sensitive information about the authors’ lives and personalities.
After reading the first four books of The Law of One material, it was interesting to get a glimpse into the personal life of the participants. I liked how Jim and Carla prefaced each excerpt with lots of background into what was happening and how they were feeling and what they were experiencing. When you read the first four books, the format is just questions and answers between Don and Ra. You can't help but wonder about the people and the story that allowed this channeling to occur. In the first four books, Carla is referred to as the instrument. In this book, we get to hear the instrument speak in her own voice. I enjoyed learning about who they are behind the scenes.
Although I enjoyed the series, the last book was the least insightful of the series. Too much of the information was regarding the state of the instrument and how to improve its condition.
I wonder if such personal material is even worth publishing because it has very little relevance to the audience. Some minor insights might be useful to some.
this is a must-read for anyone reading the other books in this series because it puts everything in context. It opens with some ground-breaking information about government coverups that were too shocking to the author back in the 1980s that they cut the material (and learned that Ra doesn't want to talk about issues that won't matter in 10,000 years, thus corrupting the channel.. David Wilcock talks in more detail about this and has based entire Gaia shows around it). Then the book lets us in on the personal lives of the 3 people who put this series together. In it we can truly understand how their own personal distortions affect the material and realize that we must take EVERYTHING we hear from everyone with an understanding that such distortions exist, then use our own distortions to realize our own "truth." The law of one has a lot of great information that is very enlightening and can lead to good practices in life, but its not a bible. This book is awesome because it shows you that context, and really, without it, the series is not complete. Great stories and kind of a soap opera, but also shows how wanderers can have a tough time in the 3rd density but eventually come out ok! Really connects you with the authors of the series in an authentic way.
