Charles Frazier Stanley was born September 25, 1932, in the small town of Dry Fork, Virginia. The only child of Charley and Rebecca Stanley, Charles came into the world during a time when the entire nation felt the grip of the Great Depression. To make matters worse, just nine months later, his father Charley died at the young age of 29.
However, Charles refused to let the Great Depression or the difficulties of his life define him. Instead, like his father and grandfather before him, he clung to God’s Word and took up the mantle to preach the gospel to whoever would listen.
Dr. Stanley’s motivation is best represented by the truth found in Acts 20:24, “Life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about God's mighty kindness and love.” This is because, as he says, “It is the Word of God and the work of God that changes people’s lives.”
Dr. Stanley’s teachings can be heard weekly at First Baptist Church Atlanta, daily on “In Touch with Dr. Charles Stanley” radio and television broadcasts on more than 2,800 stations around the world, on the Internet at intouch.org, through the In Touch Messenger, and in the monthly, award-winning In Touch magazine.

Such a beautiful and delightful devotional book!!! I really enjoyed reading the Scriptures and the prayers by Dr. Charles Stanley each day. Truly a beautiful book that should be on everyone's bookshelf ( I really need to buy it, I read the library copy) and reflect on when you are having a fantastic day or struggling with problems. Truly a beautiful treasure of a book for everything you could pray for!!

This is not a book to read straight through. It's a beautiful handbook that is available to you when you just don't know what to pray. Great job Mr. Stanley.

Love 💘 this book 📖 glad I bought I highly recommend 😊💓 buying its a great 📚 book to have it's like reading the Bible with sections and chapters and just advice on what to do for yourself or for others in the time of need.

I didn’t read this book so much as I familiarized myself with it. Charles Stanley wrote up a book of prayers that we can use as a basis for praying through life’s many challenges. All are scripture based. I think this will be a good tool for any Christian who tends to go blank when the pressures of life are intense.

What a remarkable book from such a remarkable man!
Dr. Charles Stanley has been a stalwart, steadfast guide for the lost and for Christians alike. Whenever I have questions or doubts his services or books would answer whatever I was working through. Time and time again his quiet, direction lead you through lessons that were needed to be heard to grow in faith. I never saw him preach without a Bible in his hand. Wonderful book full of prayers for everyone and every situation.

Great book of wisdom
This was a great book of prayers because it ushers you back to the word of God. All prayers start with a scripture and have a scripture in the prayer which is what believers should do “pray the word of God”. I believe there were a few that could have been added and a few that may have not been needed right now but all prayer aren’t going to work for everyone in every season.

These are more than prayer templates, but truly inspired ways of speaking through prayer to God in most all of life's situations. Very enjoyable.

There’s also an audio version you can listen to while going to sleep. Makes for peaceful dreams, and a peaceful nights rest:)

This is one of the most fabulous books I have ever read. It has every prayer a person would ever need. I plan to give this for Christmas and birthdays. I actually did buy them and every one in my family got one. They all love it too!
