This is a new author for me and I saw the description from Rabbit: Chasing Beth Rider and was interested. I bought this short story to get a taste of her writing, because it is quick to read.

The writing was excellent and easy to read. About a third of the way in the short story, I was emotionally hooked to the end. The first part of the story set things up very nice and I had a good picture of what was happening.

This is a five star story for sure, but I only gave four start due to the very end. The end left me felling kind of UGH. This probably a personal issue with me. The last part of the book deals with a very tough subject in real life. I personally went through that subject when I was 17 and the MC in the story is a 18 year old male. However isn't a good story suppose to evoke emotion, well this one did for me. ;-)

In the description is says it will make you think of a Twilight Zone episode. This story hit that description by 100% accurate. I did end up buying the full series of The Rabbit Saga after reading this and excited to read a full novel from her.
