“Who? Their dads? Not around. It’s like they think they’re free. Yep. I do it by myself. These three, and then there’s me. How? Wait! What the f*ck?! Who are.. How dare you! The nerve to ask me how I do what their dads WON’T do?! I cook, clean, clothe them, too. Watch this one fight her sleep. Throwing shit on the floor faster than I sweep!” Stuck in F* The Aftermath of After-A$$ How to Unf*ck your Parental Past comes in HARD inspiring readers to take an active approach in unf*cking your parental past. To my Mom and Dad, my mother and father life figures, my brother, Brian, and sister, Rachel, the world’s moms, dads, children’s mothers, children’s fathers, baby mommas, baby daddies, sperm donors, egg donors, domestic violence survivors, child abuse survivors, parental alienation survivors, family court survivors, for your tears, the anger, the frustration... I heard you. We need to talk. That talk is here.
Stuck in F*ck: The Aftermath of After-A$$ How to Unf*ck Your Parental Past is a great picture book having eye catchy illustrations. The protagonist of this story is a Mom who was abused as a child. Now, as a mother handling the responsibility of three kids is not that easy. It is okay to be selfless for a mother. Sometimes they also get tired taking care of so many things. Self love is important.
I really loved this book. It is a trauma inspired book. One couldn't afford to miss to read this book. It is the third book that I have read by the author Michael and all his books are worth reading.
Pretty illustrations makes this book more interesting. Cover photo of the book is nice with a lucid language. Storytelling skills of Michael is awesome.
Stuck in F*ck: The Aftermath of After-A$$ How to Unf*ck Your Parental Past, surprisingly, is a picture book. Some of the pages have no words at all because the vivid illustrations do the talking – “a picture paints a thousand words” has never been expressed more clearly than by Michael A Brown. It opens with a mother, maybe single, maybe with a “kids are women’s business” husband or partner, but boy has she had it with them! She dreams of selling them and peace only reigns when they sleep. I got all that from FOUR pictures, and I was right. Mom was abused as a child, but she still believed the charmer – desperate for love, I guess. Who is she, this traumatised child who grew into an over-trusting, resentful woman?
Who is the Mom featured in Stuck in F*ck: The Aftermath of After-A$$? You? Me? “She” is the frighteningly typical product of physical, emotional, or just plain careless and selfish, abuse, and if she is going to survive without treating her children as she was treated and passing on the endless train of crippling misery, she needs to unf*ck her parental past. Michael A Brown has seen it all through serving in military, policing, and fathering four children, and one of his specialisms is anger management. If “Mom” resonates with you, stop right there. Buy a copy of Stuck in F*ck: The Aftermath of After-A$$ How to Unf*ck Your Parental Past. I promise you that it will be the best few dollars you ever spend!
I can't say enough about this book. It is definitely the feeling that parents have especially when you are co-parenting. It is easy to blame the other parent when we should be looking at ourselves as well. Would it be too much trouble to purchase and review my other trauma-inspired books?
I love reading different Children's Books. Recently I picked this book. This is the story told from the perspective of a mother who has three children. She has to take care of all the children by herself as their dad is away mostly and he thinks he is free from all household responsibilities.
A mom cooks, cleans and do all household work by herself in addition to taking care of her kids. Read this story by yourself to know what the title exactly means.
Cover photo of the book is pretty interesting. Language of the book is medium. This book will motivate the frustrated ones to heal. It is a short and quick read. The main motive behind this book is to heal the readers.
