Love Lessons
Growing up in a two-parent household, set the foundation for what Airy wanted for himself. He thought that he had that with Constance until she did the unthinkable. Deciding to put his plans for love on hold, Airy threw himself into his work and meaningless sex. That was until the beautiful Nixie Land walked into his life and turned it upside down. Nixie Land was beautiful, smart and driven, the epitome of an independent woman. She possessed qualities that most men begged for in a partner but for her boyfriend of three years, Adam, it was too much. Suffering from an unconventional childhood had Adam laying his mommy issues at Nixie’s feet and with no remorse or consideration of her feelings. It’s not until he leaves her hanging during one of the most important days of her life that she sees just how much she means to him. Deciding that the relationship may not be for her, Nixie has to make a decision, if she wants to stay or move on. In the midst of her figuring out what she needs she meets the handsome Airy Menz who comes in and shows her just what she’s been missing. Everyone is running off of emotions, while blurring the lines of right and wrong. Will they be able to make the right decisions while surrounded by chaos, or will they fall victim to another Love Lesson?

I think Adam and his father thinking back to the 50’s they don’t want to see a woman make it on her own but I’m happy she gave him a chance I love them together and I can’t wait for Navi story great story

Whew, this book was full of all kinds of gems when it comes to love.
Nixie has been in a relationship for 3 years with Adam. She’s independent, a go-getter, and about her business. But, Adam doesn’t support her. She meets Airy-her real estate agent and it was instant magic between the two.
Airy and Nixie dive head first, but Nixie still hasn’t dealt with her relationship issue with Adam. They were both wrong in how they handled the situation but I could see things from both characters perspective.
Airy seemed too good to be true and I liked his character but it seemed like he was really pushing for a relationship when Nixie needed to close the chapter with Adam. And let me just say, Adam was the worst kind of man.. he was so insecure and he was legit jealous of Nixie’s success.
Overall, I liked this book a lot. The storyline was great and so needed. But what I loved the most was the way the author tied in lessons in love to the characters. Excellent read! ❤️

I LoVE LoVE
I loved this! Nixie and Airy were made for each other. Adam didn’t deserve her and he knew it and to find out he was married and abusive really had me hotttttt.
I like that Navi was so protective over her sister but she was overbearing and often times overstepping I would’ve been told my sister to chill out cause she was doing to much.
Constance was too damn old to be d!@k crazy like seriously 46 years old and you’re carry out like that over a man. SMH! I see what she left Senior’s ole mean ass he was just full of hate.
Good read I’m looking forward to Navi and Kawan’s story.

Wow this should have based on true events
This story touched on so many issues, and I could relate to everything that Nixie was experienceing and gave me the motivation to handle my situation. Airy was the truth and Adam was a prime example of the impact that parents have on there kids relationships. Natalie made sacrifices that mom’s often make to make sure there children have a bright future but that may have been a bitter sweet mistake. I can’t wait to read about Naviand Karan’s story. Great job as always Nikki Brown

Love Lessons !!
What happens when the connection is just there do you let it flow or do you ignore it. Airy and Nixie were just what each other needed they needed the love and connection that they could only give each other. That Adam I would love to give him a piece of my mind he got what he deserved. Whats up with Navi and Kanan. Airy and Nixie mama both were a mess. I loved how Navi went hard for her sister. Airy and Nixie were destined the way he spoke life into her i loved it . Great read !!

I loved it! Adam was a straight f boy. How you have a whole wife out here and claim to love me? Then he was very selfish,he deserved that ass whooping he got from both of them. Airy was book bar fr fr lol! He was so sweet and i loved how he tried to be there for Nix. I'm glad Nix let her feelings show for Airy. She needed that type of love. I can't wait to read about Navi and Kawan though. I know it's going to be crazy cuz Navi a whole character out here and I can see now that Kawan ain't taking no crap from her!

Great Standalone
Held my from beginning to end. Enjoyed the storyline and these characters and I instantly fell in love with them. So loved the chemistry between Airy and Nixie, and the way their relationship blossomed. Adam, was a product of his parents broken relationship and his way of thinking about love was a reflection of them. I can't wait to read about Navi and Kawan's story. Highly recommend love lessons. Great job Nikki Brown.

Good read
Now I will say this was darn good. I swear that title is everything. Love definitely teaches you lessons. I kind of felt bad for Adam because he had no mom and his dad is a jerk. Nixie should've been left her situation before she started with Airy. I always wondered why women stay in relationships knowing their unhappy. Then cry when their unhappy or say we got history. Girl bye. This book hit alot of topics. Overall good read

The challenges when you fight for real love
First I'm so glad that the author is back and she came back with a banging ass book. Man I love this book so much, that all I can do is smile. I love this story on the journey to find real love. The journey was challenging but worth every minute of what Nixie and Airy had to go through to get there. Airy parents and Nixie parents were hilarious but they came their wisdom on love! I love that this was a positive black love story!

Good read.
Refreshing to read about positive young black professionals who didn’t need drugs or the ghetto to be successful in their communities. Also the bond between the parents and the main characters,even Navi and Nixie was refreshing.
Didn’t like the casual cursing by the “Ivy League” educated sisters,nor flip flopping of Nixie.
Would have like the ending to show the a wedding or at least an engagement.

Your best one yet
I think I've read most, if not all of your books, this one is my favorite. I love the thought put into taking the reader on a journey of Love Lessons. The titles of each chapter was really played out and I couldn't help but fall in love with the characters you paint so vividly. I notice and appreciate your growth as a writer and am looking forward to reading Navi & Kawan's story next!

A really Great read.... True to its title.. Love Lessons... The Sisters and their Moms relationship were great even before she told her story.. That kept their bond tight.. Adam, wow what a piece of work, not being honest about himself, and filled with so much hate from his father, thats one real piece of garbage.. Constance, self centered and selfish no wonder adam was screwed up... Glad Nexi & Airy came together... Love at first sight.... LOVED IT.... Great Job Ms. Nikki

This book was just “okay” for me. Mediocre at best. I love Nikki but this definitely wasn’t her best. I didn’t connect with the characters and the storyline was basic. Even with the plot twist, I wasn’t enthused. And then you have a 46 year old getting abortions? Just unrealistic and unnecessary.

Great read!
This book was really good. I love how the author switched it up from her normal books and did something different. The book caught my attention from the beginning and I didn’t want to put it down. I loved Airy, Nixie, Kawan and Navi. The connection between Airy and Nixie is something that people yearn for. I can’t wait to read Navi and Kawan’s story next.

I loved this. I need to find me an Airy. The way he supported Nixie and barely knew her. Constance was something else and definitely too damn old to screaming she pregnant and to run and tell his damn mama that mess lol. Nikki you’ve done it again I read this entire book at work today. Amazing Read
Awesome job, Nikki! Looking into someone's eyes and feeling the connection to realize you've found your soulmate has to be an amazing feeling! There were a few things done out of context for the couple to get where they needed to be, but I don't want to ruin the story for anyone before they read the book! I can't wait to read the next one!

love is everything
This book was full of lessons,passion,twists and turns. It is hard to shock me..Constance in relation to Adam was a suprise for me. I kept thinking that Adam was going to sabotage her skin products that were at the house but thankfully that didn't happen.

Love Lessons
I loved all of the tidbits of love lessons speckled throughout this story. It’s amazing but understandable how ones upbringing shapes how they love and accept love from others. Senior & Constance did a number on Adam. I almost...almost feel sorry for him. I love the relationship between the sisters Navi and Nixie. Their mom sacrificed so much for them!

Great love story
It was a teaching on love just what this couple do wrong and right in love. Nixie forgot that love should always make her feel good emotionally and verbally. When she was getting what she needed from Airy she had to learn the lesson on transparency is important. Can't wait to read Crazy Navi and Kwan

This was my 1st read by this author. I was hooked with the 1st chapter. I loved the energy between Nixie and Airy. I'm glad she got the nerve to handle the issue with Adam. And Ms. Constance was a HOT OLD MESS!! I loved the love between all the characters. And I'm happy to see there's a story behind Navi and Kawan!! Great Job Nikki!!! On to the next!! 📚💙

This book was really good! Nixie was a saint because she should have been and left Adam! I kind of felt bad for him because he didn’t stand a chance in life with the parents he had!! Great read
I really enjoyed getting to know the couples. The love lessons were everything. I thing my favorite was chapter 14 “Love mans letting go of expectations”. That phrase speaks volumes!

Phenomenal Book!
This was an amazing book and I loved all the characters except Adam and his crew. Airy was definitely BAE and I hope he and Nixie have a part in Kawan and Navi’s book.

Adam wasn't the one for Nixie. He let his father control his mind and had other things going on. Airy stepped up and laid everything out for Nixie. I believe that they were soul mates. I loved Navi and I can't wait for her story. Great job as always.

Cute story
This was a cute and short story. I loved the instant connection between Nixie and Airy. Their families were hilarious and I loved the close relationship they had with them. I feel like Constance and Adam got let off easily. But I’m glad Nixie got her happy ending.

Nice flow
