Dublin Nights #5

The Final Hour

Rate this book
Trained to fight and born to lead, Emilia can handle anything the sexy Irishman throws her way—except love.

Sean McGregor, the handsome and protective Irish billionaire, was once the king of one-night-stands, but when a beautiful and courageous Italian comes into his life, everything changes. He only wants her—the one woman he can’t have.

As one of the leaders of the world’s most powerful secret society, Emilia Calibrisi can’t afford to believe in fairy tales, not when so much of her life has ended in tragedy and heartache. The last thing she has time for is falling in love, especially with Sean McGregor.

Trapped by loyalty and family tradition, rules and promises are in place to keep Sean and Emilia apart. But unable to resist the pull of fate, Sean finds himself fighting for Emilia’s heart while he fights by her side to dismantle a dangerous criminal organization. And slowly, Emilia falls victim to his charms. His incredible strength. Those big blue eyes and sinful accent.

Sean and Emilia’s insatiable need for each other has them playing with fire and blurring the lines by which they are bound.

But when the sins of her father come to light and secrets are revealed, Emilia and Sean don’t know whom to trust. Is their happiness attainable, or will Emilia once again choose duty over love?

In this thrilling new pulse-pounding addition to the Dublin Nights Series, everything will be on the line in the final hour, including their lives.

Brittney Sahin began writing at an early age, with the dream to be a published author before the age of 18. Although academic pursuits (and, later, a teaching career) interrupted her aspirations, she never stopped writing—never stopped imagining.

It wasn’t until her students encouraged her to follow her dreams that Brittney said goodbye to Upstate New York in order to start a new adventure in the place she was raised: Charlotte, North Carolina. Here, she decided to take her students’ advice and begin to write again.

In 2015, she published her first novel, The Safe Bet. When she is not working on upcoming novels, she spends time with her family. She is a proud mother of two boys and a lover of suspense novels, coffee, and the outdoors.

As I’ve come to expect, Brittney Sahin nailed it with the newest instalment of her Dublin Nights series.

If you haven’t picked up any of her books, do yourself a favour and get on it!!

Excellent story from the first pages until the epilogue.

Emilia and Sean’s chemistry is tangible and scorching hot through the pages.

Best part about Brittney’s stories are how seemingly effortless she weaves her tale and interconnects her characters from previous books in the series as well as the crossover characters from her Stealth Ops books. Yet, the story is still solid as a stand-alone.

Amazing!!

Can’t wait to see what we are in store for next!!

#HolidayTeaserTuesday -Ebook Releases 1.7 (paperback sooner)

“Adults who write letters to Santa are really wishing for miracles,” she said once we were on our way. I hid my gloved hands in my coat pockets, resisting the urge to link our arms or clasp her hand.

“Mistletoe. You have to kiss,” someone called out in our direction. Both Emilia and I stopped in our tracks and looked up, carrying our focus to the bunches of mistletoe tied with red ribbons and strung overhead by a street vendor. “Bad luck if you don’t.”

I gave her my most charming smile in hopes of wiping the indecisive look from her face. A rarity for Emilia.

“We don’t want bad luck to cancel out our wishes, do we?” I proposed, lifting my hands from my pockets to capture her waist and draw her closer to me.

“We’re in public,” she whispered.

“No one aside from a bunch of strangers will see us.” I brought a gloved hand to the back of her head.

She reluctantly but surprisingly nodded, so I dipped her back like we were in a romance movie. The Ferris wheel from Grease was our backdrop, so it worked.

And somewhere, I overheard those same carolers singing O Holy Night as I set a kiss to her mouth. We may have been surrounded by the smell of gingerbread and hot chocolate, but the only scent striking me was Emilia’s.

I’d meant for our kiss to be quick, considering we had an audience. But when she lightly moaned in response, I lost myself in her. The kiss deepened, our tongues tangled, and I barely heard the applause erupting around us.

This story had me enthralled from the beginning to end. Emilia’s and Sean’s love story is sizzling hot, with denial and acceptance. Lots of intrigue and many favorite characters from other Dublin Nights books are present. Love the playlist, and OMG the naughty Christmas sweaters are hilarious. Thank you Brittney for another wonderful story that captivates and provides a delightful escape.

If you like intrigue, suspense and romance, this is a book you don’t want to miss. This is another installment of the Dublin Nights series. Set in Dublin, centers around the McGregor family and their association with the League. The League is a vigilante if the elite in multiple countries. The twist and turns in their quest to take down the Alliance keep you on the edge of your seat. One of things that I love about Brittney’s books is the strong female characters yet she brings out their vulnerability in parts of their lives. Their not satisfied to sit on the sidelines, they stand up in the face of danger. Emilia is one that has the strength to stand up to her adversaries. A chance encounter many years ago sparked a flame for the one man that years later burned hot. The chemistry is off the charts. Throw in a crossover of characters from the Stealth Ops series and you have a book that you won’t want to put down.

The Final Hour

Gosh, 'The Final Hour', book 5 in the Dublin Nights Series, has it all. A swoonworthy hero Sean and a feisty, girl-crush worthy Emilia.

Brittney Sahin has a gift for writing romance novels that have enough steam to dampen panties while giving you such great story lines that are cultured, filled with historical references and proverbs that you won't ever feel as though it's just about the physical connections of a HEA couple.

This book can be read as a stand-alone but is interwoven with many characters from other books within Brittney Sahins' bookworld of SEALs, MMA fighters, business-suit billionairs and the women they can't live without.

Grab 'The Final Hour' and get ready to forget about everything else that should keep your attention instead - you won't want to stop reading once you started.

I received a ARC copy of 'The Final Hour' for an honest opinion and rating of the book.

Who knew Brittney would save the best for last? Again another story that is unpredictable but in the best way.

Sean and Emilia are fire, love that we got to dive into their history and wrap up the series. Who knew they had such history and met always pining for that person they met in the past and it was them.
Emilia is holding A LOT of baggage from her past, can she let her past go including the feeling of disobeying her Papa's request to find an italian suiter, the leagues rule to not date or be with another league member and be with Sean? Is there another piece missing, does she truly have no other family?
There is so many moving pieces to the story that continues and it flows so seamless that you are hooked on every twist and turn (have I said this about the other books, probably) I love how we get to see all the characters back together and even the Seal Team comes over into the story aka Roman and Harper! One of the Best of 2020 way to end the year!

This book evoked a range of emotions from start to finish! I read it in a day and could not put it down because I NEEDED to know what happened. Brittney effortlessly connects the previous books in the series and includes a well executed cross over with characters from her Stealth Ops series. She also creates such depth with each character which makes you love/hate them.

Don’t you know you’ve been mine since Vegas?

I'm sad that this series has come to an end because I'm going to miss everyone so much. I know I said I'm in love with Sebastian but I love all of the men in these books. They're all so different yet they all have one thing in common... They have so much love for their women and they'd die for them. I hope in the future all the characters from this series will pop up in other books.

After reading the prologue I was so sad for Emilia. She lost the only best friend she had after they'd gone to Vegas to celebrate her 21st birthday. My heart broke for her so much.

In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different.

This book was just everything and so much more. After reading the last few books and seeing how much Sean & Emilia like eachother but not doing anything much about it only kiss I was like damn their book is going to be amazing and passionate. It was all those things and much much more. I've always liked Sean and couldn't wait for this book because I knew how much he liked Emilia yet they didn't do anything because of the promise that she made to her father and also because of the rule in The League.

The whole story had me swooning, laughing, crying sad and happy tears, having those damn hand on the heart moments and wanting to punch a certain male because I've wanted to do it ever since the last two books. He was just so evil and my hatred towards him made me want to jump in the book and off him lol.

Brittney wrote the most amazing and action packed book yet again and I absolutely loved it xx

AGAIN!!

It’s taken me 2 rereads of this phenomenal book to decide what to write in this review.
The Inside Man was the perfect conclusion to end the Dublin Night Series. I really didn’t want this to end. This book had everything you good possibly want to keep you clued to each page.
There was so much sexual tension between Sean and Emilia. Sean becomes quite the Dominant in there relationship and Emilia loves him for it even though she is such a strong women (but we all have are weaknesses and Sean is hers).
We get to see just how vulnerable she is deep down.
The thing about Brittney is that she keeps you on your toes by including all the other characters from the whole series.
The scenes that made me laugh the most where the fight between the two brothers and there mother Cara is a hoot!. I thought Holly and Sebastian’s scenes in the book where intense but funny and you get to see Holly’s possessive side too.
Brittney has brought back Roman, Harper and the rest of Echo team to help them out. I love that she brings in characters from her other books and really works them into the story line.
You need to read this final book to see what happens to the scheming Luca!
It’s so sad that this is the end but i have a feeling that this is not the last we will be hearing from this Irish bunch.
Looking forward to hearing Harper and Roman’s story in March.
Thank you Brittney for an amazing series. Xxx

Oh my god, I have loved Emilia and Sean as they have popped up in other books but I fell completely head over heels. These two characters really go through their ups and downs and make you feel like you are on the ride with them. I especially love the bonus scenes at the end, which give you a little glimpse into some of my other favorite characters. Brittney Sahin definitely nailed this book. I can’t wait for her to come out with more for me to read!!!

Absolutely fantastic read. I had the pleasure of having an early read from this author and she has not disappointed at all. This book gives not only answers lots of questions from the series but opens up more doors to the cross over series steath ops. It is alpha and beauty at its finest. There are twists that Brittney has masterfully written in where you least expect it. There are no cliff hangers and damn i want more. Get yourself this book and read the entire series and more. love love love it

Brittney Sahin in an AMAZING writer!!!!! I have loved every Dublin Nights book and the story of Emilia and Sean definitely does not disappoint. The chemistry they have is beyond explosive. I have wondered about them forever and am so glad they found their HEA. What an emotional journey it was. The twists and turns of their story were over the top in a good way. I love how despite their stubbornness, they still find their way to each other. Now the only character left to cover in Dublin is Ethan... wonder what will unfold next. LOVE ALWAYS WINS!

From the very beginning this book had me hooked. I had anticipated the connection between Sean and Emalia because I had read the previous books in the series, but holy cow it was so much more than I expected and the story line, for the longest time I thought I had had it all figured out...but NO... it snuck up and bit me in the most AWESOME way! I absolutely loved this book and I’m just hoping there are still a couple of stories left in the series!

If I could rate this book a 10++ Wow! Sean McGregor and Emilia Calibrisi are unstoppable.  The chemistry between them is off the charts.  A true Fairy Tale in the making for Emilia and Sean doesn't compare to the heartaches they've both overcome.  “Amore prohibito,” Forbidden love, Intriguing, suspenseful, loyalty, betrayal, lies, justice, fighting, death, family and truths in this book will have you on the edge of your seat as well as laughing and crying.  I can't put into words how a love so grand between Sean and Emilia can withstand what they go through. There are many broken promises but it's for the best. You've gotta read this series to understand this family as a whole and fall in love with all of them.  Brittney does it again.  Another great and epic love story for The McGregor's ❤️

Feuding families with secrets that could end a dynasty. Star crossed lovers that struggle with the kind of love and connection that spans decades and can overcome even the most stubborn and hardheaded obstacles imaginable. A love that starts with a simple fight and ends with a final fight that will decide it all.

Where to start?!?! I know I’ve said this before but it’s true, Brittney never ceases to amaze me! The Final Hour is that good!

She has your attention from start to finish. I love how she seamlessly intertwines characters from previous books and her other series. It has become one of my favorite things about her books along with amazing heroines and book boyfriends to die for! She writes so much more than just steamy romance. There are so many intriguing plot twists and turns that I can not put them down!

Another great read from the masterful word ninja, Brittney Sahin! Ive definitely found the author that speaks my language! I catch myself being completely caught up in the moment as if I’m right there in the pages every time I pick up one of her books! The way she describes the setting, you feel like you are there and you can see it, smell it and almost reach out and touch it! I want to visit Dublin now, especially at Christmas! The way she develops her characters, you feel like you have gotten to know these people and are invested in them! She continues to peel back the layers and keeps them interesting with little details over the course of the book and series. Sean definitely surprised me and was more than I expected in this one! She has effortlessly mastered tying in characters from other books to make the series that much more interesting but at the same time you can enjoy them as a stand-alone.

Emilia is a straight up bada$$ that I’d definitely like to be friends with! And I never thought anyone could compare to Sebastian but man Sean came out of no where and is giving him a run for his money! He is way hotter than I expected! And the chemistry between Emilia and Sean is palpable!

If I could give it 10+ stars I would! You won’t regret reading this or any of her books for that matter! Do yourself a huge favor and read her books!

I received an ARC of The Final Hour for an honest review and let me tell you, it was intricate, twisted, and exciting! Merry Christmas to me...Brittney Sahin has done it again! I know I say that every book that she writes but honestly it is so true.

In this book, we see Emilia and Sean along with a cast of favorites from the previous Dublin Night series attempt to take down the Alliance. Along the way, there is treachery, broken promises, and a romance that is not meant to be. Just when I think I know where the plot is going, Brittney totally makes my head do a 360 in a plot twist that I never saw coming. I really do not know how she can take a story and take you on a journey so complex that comes together at the end and still leaves you wanting more.

Does Luca get his just deserts? Can they take down the Alliance? You need to experience this story to find out how this ends....or does it end? Is there a spinoff that could happen? All I have to say is that this book is amazing and rich in its storyline and must be read to be experienced. Thank you Brittney for giving me this opportunity to take a ride in another adventure that exceeds any expectation I may have had, you just blow me away.

Where do I start? I just finished this story and I’m already missing the characters. I stumbled upon “On The Edge” in January of 2020 because I’m obsessed with England, Scotland and Ireland. Finding present day stories in these countries is far and few between, most are historical fiction. I have enjoyed all the books so much. And when I got a chance to be on Brittney’s ARC team, I jumped at the chance.

“The Final Hour” is the fifth and final book in the series. In the previous books, we met Emilia and hello girl crush. Strong, fierce, loyal? My kind of girl. I love how she did not F around and is a no BS girl. We also get to know Sean in this book. Those McGregor brothers and cousin? And Sebastian? Gotta love those book boyfriends. The two met 10 years ago in Vegas and it was electric. However, circumstances drove them apart until they came together to bring the Alliance down.

Emilia and Sean are smoking hot. A fiery Italian and a hot Irishman, yes please. I also love the crossovers within her series. Brittney brings in characters from her Stealth Ops series. She set us up nicely for that book next in March.

The only thing I struggled with this book was finishing it. I wanted to savour it and at the same time I wanted to devour it. That totally sounds like a line from a romance novel but it’s true! I’m definitely overdue for a reread. But this time, I’m going to the audiobook version. I need to hear those Irish accents.

Thank you, Brittney for an amazing book and series.

I cannot say enough about how fabulous this book is. Emilia and Sean’s story has all the chemistry, sexy, intrigue, and thrills you expect in Brittney’s writing, but wow-one huge curveball you don’t see coming- plus the added bonus of Echo team becoming involved in the story!
This is book 5 in this series- to really understand certain aspects of the story start at the beginning. Promise it will be worthwhile!

Brittney Sahin is one of my go-to authors of romantic suspense/action. She has a way to intertwine the romantic angle with the action storyline, so neither one feels forced and it is enhanced by the other. I'm pretty sure I've read all of her series and recommend her whole body of work.

The Final Hour is Sean and Emilia's story, which we've been glimpses of their connection the last couple of books. They are both leaders in the League, which has rules against families connecting to consolidate power. However, their chemistry and love for each other can't be denied. It all comes to a head when they go against the Alliance to finally take them down. Sean is still coming to grips and adjusting to a world he didn't know existing a couple of years ago, while Emilia is balancing expectations and family legacy with who and what she wants from life. The two are strong independently but are better together.

This book could be read as a stand-alone, but I highly recommend reading at least the other Dublin Nights books before it. There are so many interwoven storylines and characters that you will get more from this story if you have the full picture.

Hot damn. The newest installment of Brittney's Dublin Nights series is hot, action-packed, and full of suspense. The dynamic between Sean and Emilia is off the charts. Emilia is a certified bad ass, but Brittney really knows how to pack a punch and deliver well-rounded characters, well-thought out plots, and truth bombs you never saw coming. Plus, who doesn't love a good crossover with some of our favorite Stealth Ops characters? Once you pick it up, you won't want to put it down. Brittney has seriously outdone herself on this one.

For maximum enjoyment, I suggest reading the previous books in the series if you haven't already.

Brittney Sahin has given us another awesome Dublin Nights book. I love the chemistry that Sean and Emilia have and was seen even in past books. Their story is much like a Romeo and Juliette forbidden love story that will have you at the edge of your seat wondering how they will overcome the challenges that are in their way of being together.

There, of course, is some kicking butt to be done with the Alliance, FINALLY! Our friends from Stealth Ops-Echo team made an appearance for an assist. I really like when she does crossovers because I grow to miss them when we are between Stealth Ops books, lol! One of my most anticipated couple’s story is Roman and Harper and while we wait for their next upcoming book it was nice to read even a tiny bit about them in the Final Hour.

In true Sahin fashion we are also awarded with some jaw on the floor plot twists that will leave you dang near speechless. And then after you wrap your head around it you are like “hmph, makes total sense.”

Brittney Sahin is one of my favorite authors and I have not read not one of her books that didn’t leave me with a book hangover wanting more. If you haven’t read one of her books, do yourself a favor and pick you up one. You won’t be disappointed. 🖤

Sahin has once again delivered a storyline and couple that I couldn’t let go of, I was hooked.  Sean and Emilia give readers nothing but satisfaction.

Sean and Emilia share moments, past and apparently present.  They’re part of a protective system. A system that has rules.  Emilia has dedicated her life as head of Italy’s League.  She made promises that she can’t break.  Sean has stepped up to give his strength to his family and Ireland.  While they work together, they can’t be together...League rules.  But one taste and that only deepened their hunger.

And their current job holds secrets that could break them...or worse.  Is it worth the risk? Will this finally open their hearts and their eyes?

Emilia is such an incredibly strong heroine. She rules ruthlessly and holds no regrets. And Sean  is her match in every way.  A balance neither expected. The protective shield Sean offers Emilia while he still allows her to reign is a testament to what this relationship has become.

Dinner...Brittney didn't just give us a snack with this one, she gave us a full dinner and I loved every bite.

Brittney Sahin....WOW! Woman you have outdone yourself with this one. It was the perfect way to wrap up the Dublin Nights series. This book had everything...intrigue, action, suspense, comedy, killer plot twist, Stealth Ops crossovers(YAY!!!), kick-ass/alpha main characters, amazing character development, steamy romance, and soooo much more. This book had me in tears one minute and laughing the next. Brittney keeps your attention through the entire book, and it was definitely one I couldn't put down.

I was totally all in for team Sebastian and Holly as my favorite couple for Dublin Nights, and now...Sean and Emilia are right there with them.

If you haven't read through all of Brittney Sahin's books yet...what are you waiting for??? You will not be disappointed.
