This was a riveting book that was very difficult to put down. Although this book is a work of fiction, Jay Paterno drew upon his college football experience to provude a realistic insight into the many challenges faced by today's major college football coach (it made wonder if they are being paid enough). He was able to intricately portray the daily challenges a major college football coach endutes to stay within the rules to maintain relartionships with family, friends, university administration, boosters/alumni, coaching staff, players, while winning games, into a captivating storyline. If you are a sports fan at any level, this is a must read.

Just finished “Hot Seat”. Great read. Many tidbits that true fans will notice, my favorite, page 97, when you list Steve Smith from Grenville HS as a signed commit. Still remember Smith/Manoa in our backfield. Great tribute to him as he fights his medical issues.

Decent yet formulaic

Interesting read early but I felt as the book continued the issues became too gimimicky. I think they should have focused more on certain issues and not the others
