Annette Hartanto has done the seemingly impossible. She has traded her country hometown for the big city, determined to get her bachelor’s degree in business and put as much distance between her and her old life as possible. This newfound independence doesn’t come cheap. Annette finds herself a side gig as Wallsburgh University’s stage manager. Annette uses “rough-and-tumble” personality to keep performers in line while making a few close friends on the side. All in all, it’s a temporary means before she makes the big bucks in corporate America. That is, until she meets Jayla Montgomery, a third-year fine arts major with a major passion for dance choreography. They work well together during productions. Now, Jayla specifically asks Annette for her tough as nails attitude to help put on her very-own production. It’s a dream she’s had since the beginning of her educational career. Up until now, it has been strictly professional between the two. But, with a cast of people pushing them to be more than that, will Annette find the pressure too much? Or will she come to realize that, she too, wants more than just a partnership between herself and Jayla? Please This book contains adult language and steamy adult activities, it is intended for 18+ Adults Only. This was a book that was suggested by Kindle Unlimited, it sounded interesting quick read. However by the time I got to the end of chapter one I began to have doubts. The story improved and there was more to Annette’s character than first appears, but I’m afraid I still found it more annoying than interesting.
Loved this book Once again, Jenny Bloom succeeds in making the main characters likable people whom you are rooting for and whose happy ending leaves the reader satisfied. I was also pleased to see all of the main jerks actually get karmic punishments for their bad behavior, unlike the obnoxious roommate from Heart Strings I read a complimentary Advanced Reader Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review
For me it took a little long to get to the point. Thus me giving the 4 ****. I did enjoy the book. I liked how the characters were developed. You really got to know them. Not as explicit as some of her other stories. Overall a good read.
I did in fact purchase on release day.

All in all I liked the story a lot. I kept turning the pages to see the story unfold. The ending came a bit too fast for me after building up the story. I felt like there could be a few chapters more. I definitely would have liked to see more of Annette and Jayla together.
