Treasure and Trouble in Antigua and Barbuda...

Their guests deny it, but Dani Berger and Liz Chirac suspect that they’ve chartered Vengeance to search for sunken treasure. The two men are an odd pair. Nick Thompson’s a former Navy Seal, but Dani suspects he didn’t serve honorably. Gerald Yates is a successful writer from an old Southern family. He’s hired Thompson to assist in his research for a book.

Yates claims to be looking for the wreck of Phaedra, a ship that was owned by an ancestor of his. Phaedra went down in a storm during the U.S. Civil War. She departed from Savannah, ran the Union blockade, and was bound for the Yates family's plantation in Barbuda. Yates claims he’s not interested in the ship’s cargo, but only wants to verify the facts of her loss for use in his book.

Dani’s convinced there’s more to the story. She's suspicious because Yates has chosen a sailing yacht for a task better suited to a salvage vessel. Then she learns that the two men are targets of a private espionage organization. That’s when she’s sure they’re up to no good.

Are these two who they claim to be? What are they really looking for? And what kind of trouble did they bring to the islands?

Read Bluewater Bullion and find out. Perfect for fans of treasure hunts set in Florida and the Caribbean.

Welcome aboard!
Charles Dougherty is a lifelong sailor; he's lived what he writes. He and his wife have spent over 30 years sailing together. For 15 years, they lived aboard their boat full-time, cruising the East Coast and the islands. They spent most of that time exploring the Eastern Caribbean. Dougherty is well acquainted with the islands and their people. The characters and locations in his novels reflect his experience.
A storyteller before all else, Dougherty lets his characters speak for themselves. Pick up one of his thrillers and listen to the sound of adventure as you smell the salt air. Enjoy the views of distant horizons and meet some people you won't forget.
Dougherty has written over 25 books. His Bluewater Thrillers are set in the yachting world of the Caribbean and chronicle the adventures of two young women running a luxury charter yacht in a rough-and-tumble environment. The Connie Barrera Thrillers are also set in the Caribbean and feature some of the same characters from a slightly more romantic perspective. Besides the Bluewater Thrillers and the Connie Barrera Thrillers, he wrote The Redemption of Becky Jones, a psycho-thriller, and The Lost Tourist Franchise, a short story about one of the characters from Deception in Savannah.
He has also written two non-fiction books. Life's a Ditch is the story of how he and his wife moved aboard their sailboat, Play Actor, and their adventures along the east coast of the U.S. Dungda de Islan' relates their experiences while cruising the Caribbean.

Great installment in the series!

I hope Charles is a fast writer because I can't get enough of his entertaining material! And this series scratches my itch (or maybe makes it worse) to escape and sail the Caribbean. Love the sailing and geographic details as well.

Good read, more complicated plot

And that's a good thing. Stories can be over complicated. This one wasn't, but it had some variety and more angles than earlier stories. Good job and worth the extra star.

Can't put the book down

These stories are amazing, very easy to read, the suspense and the mistery are very pleasant. I feel like I know the characters and the Caribbean

A rollicking treasure hunt with girls who can kick butt!

I admit I'm addicted! The Bluewater series keeps me coming back for more, and I'm grateful that Charles Dougherty writes new novels fast enough to satisfy my cravings. In this adventure Dani and Liz charter their ship to treasure hunters. Confederate gold is waiting near the island of Barbuda and descendants of the ship's original owners know the secret to its location. Of course greedy mercenaries are also out to find the treasure and loan sharks get in the way. When the bad guys try to take out Dani and Liz, their survival skills kick in and mayhem happens.

What is better than a rollicking treasure hunt on the high seas? Bad guys meeting their match with pretty young women who can kick butt! As I said before, I'm addicted to this series. When I get bored with predictable stories about vampires and zombies, I take a virtual cruise to the Caribbean and enjoy adventure with these familiar characters. Each book is a standalone adventure, so start your addiction today.

Another winner from the master of the Blue Water Thrillers. Once again, CLR Dougherty keeps you transfixed on his story. The seventh in the BlueWater Thriller series, we have come to know the heroines well, and their "kick ass" talents do not leave you disappointed. This time around, they do it pretty much on their own, with only a little help from their friends. I won't spoil the story line. Suffice to say, anyone who likes a good page turner owes it to themselves to thoroughly investigate the writings of CLR Dougherty. He is by far, one of the very best!

This book of the Bluewater series is terrible. Too many characters to follow. Do yourself a favor and skip to the next title.
