The Brotherhood #2

Bound to You in Japan

Rate this book
In the second installment of the Brotherhood series,

29-year-old “Alec” Alexandre Kitamura Sousa was once a ruthless, calculating, and efficient CIA field agent, until his assignment brought his world colliding with Cathy’s.

Now he is completely and utterly obsessed with the sweet girl.
She has messed with his logical mind.

When the Hostage Rescue Team failed in their rescue op, and Cathy was whisked away to Japan, Alec abandoned all reasons and went rogue, taking on a new assignment of his own in Osaka, Japan, in order to find her.

But what awaits him in Japan is nothing like he could ever imagine. The Brotherhood’s web of conspiracy runs deeper than any previous intel provided by the CIA assets within and without the country. Alec is once again torn between the desire to keep Cathy by his side, or serving his country.

Could he ever give her up, knowing that the fate of the world is at stake?
----------------------

19-year-old university student "Cathy" Cathryn Johnson is bought by a new Shujin, her new Yakuza Master, and must serve him in this foreign land.
He is kind, but severe when it comes to disciplining her. The contrast to Alec is like night and day.

The latter has only given her a taste of what Dominance and Submission can be,
but her new Master is about to teach her all there was to know about the pleasures of the flesh.

Could she escape from him,
from this country,
and return to her old life back in the US?

The plot thickens in this sequel to the first novel in the Brotherhood Series, Claiming You in Eden.

**Contains mature themes and triggers, suitable for 18 years old and above.
**Can be read as a standalone, but better read with the prequel.

Having proofread Claiming You in Eden,i was curious how the story continued.
And Amelia was kind enough to give me a copy,so i could find out.
Fully aware it still needs editing,i read it,and liked where Amelia wanted to go with it.
Being a fan of Kinbaku,i enjoyed seeing it being used by Cathy’s Master.
She was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and was abducted along with 15 other girls.
Her “luck” was that Alec decided to claim her at that time,so he was the only one touching her.
When the girls were sold to the Yakuza, they were shipped to Japan.
That’s where this part starts.

Unbeknownst to her,Alec followed her to Japan to rescue her,and his story is told alongside hers.
She is bought at an auction by her new Master, who seems kind enough, but doesn’t show his face.
He doesn’t force himself on her,but instead does his best to make sure she comfortable.
Slowly building her trust.

Alec arrives in Japan two weeks before Cathy, and builds a cover to get close to the Yakuza that bought the girls. He succeeds, but his handler in the CIA isn’t happy with his solo act.
But he gets the info they need, and he even gets close with the son of the boss.
How to get his hands on Cathy and keep her safe,is his biggest concern, though.
Because he’s grown to care about her.....

Take into account this is a new author, she still has plenty of room to grow.
I’d like to give her that chance......

Great continuation to first book. I love the H and h interaction in this one. Slower buildup to climax.

I feel that this is a better story than the first. The girl and the guy has grown closer. They have a better relationship in this one.

The author includes a graphic content and trigger warning for this book, so it may not be appropriate for all readers.

Alec' Alexandre Kitamura Sousa is an undercover CIA agent. When his last mission went south and he fell in love with one of the victims, he's determined to rescue her.

In the first book, Cathy' Cathryn Johnson was kidnapped and raped by the Brotherhood, she began to fall in love with one of her captors, before she was sent to Japan to be auctioned off.

When her rescue mission fails and she is to be sold to a Yakuza Master, Alec must go to Japan to rescue her.
This continues Alec and Cathy's story in Japan as Cathy learns to serve her new master and Alec navigates the Yakuza crime world in order to save Cathy and do his job as a CIA agent.

I enjoyed this second installment of their story and the peek into a part of Japanese culture. The intimacy and play was focused more on building a connection than the coercion I expected and it was a nice surprise.

As in the previous book, their story isn't quite over by the end of the book but it does give some closure.
The author includes interesting notes at the end of the book giving further insight to each chapter.

I received an ARC copy and am voluntarily leaving a review. That said I expect any editing issues will be resolved before publishing. If you like my reviews I hope you will follow my blog. https://wyldheartreads.wordpress.com/

Style: Romance
Story: 3/5
Sexual: GOOD
Enjoyment:3/5
Series: Book 2 (Same Characters)

Alec and Cathy’s story continues in Bound To You In Japan. (Could be spoiler) In this book we finally figured out who Alec really is , from the mob to an agent to a master.

I always like Alec an is obsession with Cathy and how far he is willing to go to keep her. Cathy, has come a long way from the first book, a virgin to experiencing a lot with Alec. Seeing her growth with her body is good.

My only thing with book 2 is the time apart. Without giving away too much, Alec and Cathy got separated and although in some way they were together under different circumstances, I felt that time together as themselves should have been more.

***I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s definitely about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the stories you read. I hope this review was helpful.

This is book 2 in the series and you really do need to read book 1 prior to reading this one. The story has triggers, it’s somewhat dark and deals with the subject of human trafficking, therefore it is not going to be everyone’s cup of tea. I love the growth that the characters are experiencing as they work their way through the maze of mystery and intrigue that the author has them traveling.

This is the second book in The Brotherhood series.

In the first book, we see Cathy and other girls being kidnapped to Japan and sold in an auction. Alec, an undercover CIA agent who fell in love with Cathy follows her trail and hopes to find and keep her safe.

This book starts exactly where it ended in the first book. Here we see Cathy being sold to Yakuza master and she is bound to serve her new master in a new land. Her new Master is different from Alec altogether. He never tries to force upon her rather tries to build trust and connection with her.

Alec tries his best to find Cathy and in this process, he navigates the Yakuza crime world and strives to save Cathy. But how long can he go to save her when he knows the works is in danger?

I liked the book very much. This was just as intriguing and enjoyable as the first part. In this part, we get to know more about Alec and we finally get some closure to their relationship. The plot was interesting and it will keep the readers hooked till the end.

Nicely written but a bit open ended
Sold into modern slavery in Japan but rescued.
Smooth read but ending a bit too soon.
I liked the Japanese setting.
The writer aims to educate the readers in realistic sexual behaviour so be aware there is a lot of that in this novel.
