A hometown boy with incredible promise is forced to put his life on hold until an opportunity unlooked for arises. A game, along with a fairytale like romance, reminds him that there is still something worth caring about. Will his tireless work ethic burn out his mind and body before he has the chance to choose what course to follow, or was the course always set, giving him no option at all... which might just be what he fears the most.
Ian Daniels, a family man with two jobs as well as a writing habit, has authored multiple books including a series of fiction novels set in a dystopian world, as well as a young romance novel. He has many tastes and writes the books he would want to read. With many more stories in and out of the same genres in the works, he hopes to give readers something a little different than what they are used to.
Gave a nice reprieve and escape from the craziness of the Covid world and helped stem the tide of missing out on the end of the 2019 college basketball season. Interesting characters, good pacing, and held my attention. Maybe had to turn my nit-picky brain off for a moment or two but I get the artistic liberties of changing a few things from the real world conference affiliation to make the story that much better. Appropriate for Teener/young adults and doesn't lean too heavy or go over your head if you don't know basketball very well. Would definitely recommend for anybody that can guilty pleasure a chick flick or enjoys other novels in the Twilight/50 Shades/Hunger Games/etc. realm
