I'm the guy you hate to love. A bad boy, a player, a billionaire businessman with enough charisma to explode panties rather than making 'em drop. And I've got my sights set on her. My old high school hookup. The first woman who screamed my name, but not the first or last to curse it. She'll curse it again before this is all over. Because I need a fake fiancée, a sweet family girl who'll convince my hard-*ss father that I'm worth my inheritance. 30 days. No strings attached. And a promise that I can and will save her from losing everything. There's just one rule, I tell her, "Don't fall for me."
Finished this book in less than 24-hours. It starts off fast and easily caught, captured and held my attention. Damien (the MMC)s personality is entertaining from the start and I enjoyed the banter between between the two characters. Hazel (the FMC) is likable but she is too easily swayed. If only she fought a little harder and played a little harder to get, she wouldn't have come off as a push over.
However, her relationship with her father is so endearing and she is so sweet and kind, you can't help but to root for her happiness. The scenarios in the story are entertaining and the secondary characters are all well-written. Though there are a few plot holes, one in particular left the story feeling incomplete. It never comes to light (to Damien) how his father found out the truth in regards to their arrangement. With the complete truth not coming out to all parties, the story felt rushed and fell flat at the end.
Still, even with that little incompleteness, this is still a story worth reading and one I really enjoyed.

Don't Fall For Me is your typical fake fiancee romance, and there ain't nothing wrong with that. This Cinderella story with a corporate vibe will please any reader who thirsts for subscription books from Harlequin and Silhouette.
Damien Woods is between a rock and his immovable father--a real despicable cat with nine reprehensible corporate lives--who can make the Woods offsprings' life hell. His latest proclamation is that Damien finds a wife in the next thirty days or lose his inheritance and place in the company. Damien has just the person in mind. Someone he just reacquainted with, Hazel McCutcheon, the one he burns for, but threw away in high school, she drives him crazy and is desperate enough to go along with his ridiculous plan. Or so he thinks.
Cinderella is overworked. Her dad has cancer; she's losing her family legacy to pay his medical bills. Hazel works a crap job with no help from her flighty sister, and handouts are still something she's unready to accept. Worst she loathes Damien Woods. He's arrogant. Sexy. Wealthy. Too powerful. And he won't take no for an answer.
Argh! One of the things Gigi Black did correctly was writing her villains: Kara and Mortimer are easy to--ARGH! Kara was one-hundred percent smackable. Mortimer was smack-downable. I found myself so angry with them both I wanted to spit tacks.
I also appreciated that she redeemed one of the characters Damien introduces as a possible rival and makes him an excellent ally. There were so many antagonists already.
Don't Fall For Me will be an excellent read for anyone looking for something to curl up on the weekend with and romance your days away.
Oh, and it didn't escape my notice, the cutesy potential play on words, any marriage between Damien and Hazel would make her Hazel Woods. Nice one.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary advance copy of this book.
Hazel feels as though she is fighting an uphill battle, between caring for her sick father (cancer), paying his medical bills and working a deadbeat job. Making one last pizza delivery before she finishes her shift she is faced with a blast from the past. Damien the boy she had a high school crush on, gave her virginity to and promptly ghosted her the following day.
It's been 14 years since Damien saw Hazel bus she has turned into a gorgeous woman. Although she hates him for leaving, he attempts to worm his way back into her life with a business proposition. He'll get her family cafe back and pay her fathers medical bills if she agrees to be his fake fiancée for 30 days as he needs to prove to his father and the board that he can be CEO. Both desperate for the plan to work for different reasons they try their best to pull this off, even if they blur the lines by sleeping together.
With Damien's father out to ruin him and Hazel's twin sister causing trouble, they are in for a bumpy journey. Can they go from enemies to lovers? To something more?
I enjoyed this more than I anticipated. A second chance story with a happy ending.

Hazel McCutcheon had the weight of the world on her shoulders when she walked in to deliver pizza in a hotel room in Chicago the last person she expected was Damien Woods. The man she gave her virginity to in high school.
Her life was a mess while Damien seemed to have it all together.
When Damien is given an alternative by his father - get married or be cut off, Damien turns to Hazel to help him out. It’s a win win right? She pretends to be his fiancé for a month and he pleases Mortimer... until it all goes pear shaped.
Hazel finds herself back at square one, working for a pizzeria, but with even more problems. Will it work out?

Having read others in the second chance, fake fiancé genre This wasn’t a bad read, but it left me wanting a little more, the characters were decent it just missed the mark slightly IMO.
Loved this so much, The story was so good, i just couldn't put it down! The main male character Damien just took my breath away, who doesn't like a man who is sexy, honest and so damn funny! I didn't half chuckle at some of the interactions between him and Hazel. What made this book stand out was the authors ability to write scenes that really kept you on the edge of your seat, scenes that had you laughing one minute and then getting hot and flustered at the next scene. Sexual chemistry was off the charts with like able characters, you couldn't help but fall in love with! This was my first book by this author and i cant wait to read more, I highly recommend!!

There are not enough stars to really do this book justice! At first I was a bit leery but after the first chapter I was hooked! It knocked me on my rear and I am not sorry that it did! So GOOD! I fell for Hazel she is one of the best characters I have read about! I Liked Damien. I felt like he was not prepared for Hazel at all and thought maybe it was going to be easy. But Hallelujah! This got my emotions in a tizzy and I am glad I took a chance on this book! I will be looking forward to more from this author!!!

Damien never expected to run into Hazel again after over a decade apart. When Damien is put in an unexpected situation by his dad he uses Hazel to solve his latest issue. Together they are life fire but they will have to face several obstacles. I enjoyed this story and hope that their is another one to follow.

This book was ok. It went too fast & not in a " this is so good I can't put it down" way. She went from being able to resist him to just falling head over heels with him. Plus there was a mention that he had brothers but only towards the end did he even give the other brothers name. Now was that a typo? I don't know but I really just don't care, this book was ok & perfect to waste my time with.
Loved this book. When a book draws out my emotions, it's a good thing. Tears for Damien and Hazel but happiness in the end. Kara, what can you say about a bad seed. How did Damien turn out so well with that father of his being evil. Overall, this will be a good recommended book to read to others. Thanks :)
Don’t fall for me! Famous last words!!! This is such a great read, loved Damien and Hazel and the storyline, and of course her dad and Seth (hope Seth gets his own story 🤞maybe we’ll get to know Caleb too!) not going to comment on Kara 😡 anyway lovely read 😁

Hazel and Damien were involved in high school and he broke her heart. Now he was back with a proposition and her life was falling apart. The interesting and exciting romance between Hazel and Damien is filled with heartache, betrayal, greed, and a deep need for love. Fun read

A enjoyable start to this new series. This is a new author for me and I wasn't disappointed. I will looking forward to read the next book in this series. The story was entertaining, the characters are engaging and have great chemistry.
Love the book. Hazel was a spit fire and so sweet. Damien swoon was hot and funny. Both were really great for one another loved all the characters and looking forward for more from GiGi Black
[1.25 star] well~ what should i say about the book? honestly, a book like this is kind of dime in a dozen because there are plenty of books with similar plots. the hero is kind of an asshole and the heroine doesn't seem to be able to resist his asshole-ness. also, the "enemies to lovers" subtitle doesn't really fit the bill as the characters don't weren't really enemies in my opinion. book didnt do it for me unfortunately...

You just fall in love with these characters and the love they have for one another! I would love to ready more about them as a family and find out what happens with his father when he no longer has his sons to control!
Great love story with a few ups and downs. Glad to read she finally stood up to her sister. That woman was a real piece of work. Love happily ever afterwards . Took awhile though. Nice to see at least he had guts to stand up to his father. Great read .
I can't believe how evil his father was and her stupid sister it's safe to say they belong in jail. I'm glad they got away from them so they could be happy.
the whole twin plot rly dragged the book down, not only was it an annoying plot to read abt, it also had a strong anti-sex work sentiment so it was bad in 2 ways
No emotional chemistry I get that these characters were hot for each other, but where was the emotional connection? Hazel was just trying to keep her head above water since her life is a shit-show; sick dad, medical bills, sister going off the rails, minimum wage job - then Damien comes along and takes advantage for his own personal gain. I wish we'd seen more of Kira's emotional stuff instead of making her a bitch for the sake of needing a villain. I wasn't a fan of the 'miracle recovery' in the epilogue either.
