This might have been a good romance story, but for: she wrote a gothic romance book may ruin her upon its publishing, Amanda attempts to run away at one point & is rescued by the supposed hero, she is introduced to famous persons of the time period, Lord Glendarvon won't stop with the constant reminder she was enraged at him when she was little girl, her family hates on her she may ruin their society success,...where is the romance? There wasn't any slow romantic development thru the story, just occurrences thrown in. Dull.
