Just because he’s scatterbrained and distracted doesn’t mean he needs a keeper…right?
Dakota is creative, passionate, and just a little too focused on his work. It’s helped him grow a single book into an impressive series and career, but it’s not helping his personal life. At this point, he barely has a personal life and even his friends are starting to get concerned.
Tristan’s had a thing for Dakota before he ever met the sexy, somewhat reclusive writer, and it only takes one chance meeting to feel the connection between them. That’s also all it takes to see that Dakota doesn’t just need an assistant, he needs a keeper. Luckily, that’s a role Tristan was born to play.
When a distracted, artistic sub meets a Dom with a thing for organization and role-playing, a beautiful masterpiece of a relationship can’t be far behind.

Shaw Montgomery loves reading, traveling, and family. While not necessarily in that order, they all rank pretty close. Shaw has lived all over the United States and even Germany. While the coast of North Carolina is a favorite place Shaw currently lives in the Western United States. Current wish list places to travel to are Australia, Italy, and Scotland.
When Shaw wants to write about things that are a little more taboo (or sometimes a lot more taboo), Shaw writes under the name M.A.Innes.
It was good, Tristan and Dakota have good chemistry and make for a good couple. But Tristan showed up so out of nowhere it was jarring. On Jonah, Jonah had to decide wether to stop being Dakota's or Austin's assistant and he chooses to keep working with Dakota. Then in Bradley the assistant business is forgotten. Then suddenly Dakota was hiring his own assistant apart from Jonah (who doesn't seem to be working as much during the book) and had already done the placing the ad, having the screening of the people and even contact with applicants by the time the book starts. It's like we started to book missing a couple of chapters. And unlike all the other alphas, Tristan doesn't show up, get presented to us or is even hinted at in any previous book, he just shows up. It was jarring
Oh this was my second dip into the omagaverse, and I think I’m starting to like it. Now I haven’t read the books before, and though this is totally a stand alone I feel like I was very lost in the beginning of what was going on. It took me a while, and that’s not even because of the omega verse. It was nice to meet the crew and I’m very excited about wade’s story. The writing was good, the smexy was hawt and the side characters were fun.
What can I say? This fantastic, grab-you-by-the-feels, marvelous, poignant, sweet, charming, hilarious, smoking hot, delightful, tug-at-your-heartstrings, and totally awesome addition to this amazing series had me hooked from beginning to end. I would DEFINITELY recommend getting this entire series ASAP!
I liked Dakota and Tristan. There was a great dynamic between them. Sexy, sweet and funny, this story again shows the strong friendships between all the omegas. Their drunk night at Wade's was hilarious. Tristan was such a great fit for Dakota. I loved the insight into a writer's brain through Dakota. I look forward Wade's story. 4.5 stars
5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow- Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile' or ‚Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the kids' series from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or 'Liberty' from Seth King), it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books and Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series) it's like an A
3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times a year (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+
3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader, maybe 2-3 times a year. It’s like a B
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time- reader (i wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok). It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolut NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
Dakota is the fifth book in the Romance and Revolutions series. This Shaw Montgomery read is another fantastic BDSM romance.
This time around we get the story of Dakota and Tristan. Dakota's a famous erotica author and Tristan's his new PA. Tristan's an Alpha who Dakota instantly bows to. Apparently when the right Alpha comes along... And the heat between the two is HOT!
Damn. Dakota and his new PA Tristan are sizzling together. Tristan naturally fills the role of his Dom and in a delightful game of exploration, they act out sex scenes from Dakota's books.
Their story involves a kink club, spankings, rewards, and pony fantasy. There are drunk omegas and slave play. Good god, the drunk omegas scene had me laughing hysterically.
The writing is fabulous, with some delightful characters and a compelling storyline. The emotions are ever present, as well as the heat. As usual, there are plenty of secondary characters who add to the entertainment, most notably Wade, whose pain and grief is devastating.
If you enjoy BDSM romances, Dakota is a must read. Shaw Montgomery definitely delivers in this charming read. It is a wonderful addition to the Romance & Revolutions series.
Dakota by author Shaw Montgomery is the fifth book in the Romance and Revolutions series. This story is written in dual POV. I love that POV because it is one, I feel more connected to both characters in. Feels more personal. This story is part of a series, and characters we know, and love show up again in this story. I would not consider this story a true standalone.
Dakota: he is a writer. He is a creative person with his head in the clouds most days. Being a creative person myself I can relate to that. Getting caught up in ideas and no taking care of himself. Which is why he is hiring a personal assistant. He has a part-time one but really needs a full-timer.
Tristan: he has been there for creative people all of his life. His parents were both creative and he kept them on track too. He has a good sense of humor, laid back personality. And most of all he is Dominate.
I loved how adorable this story is. There is a banter that kept me smiling, love that was aww moments, and beautiful connection between the characters. I love to fall in love and this book really did that for me. When you want a steamy love story that will make you smile, I highly suggest this one.
Omega Dakota is creative, passionate and too focused on his work as an author so needs a keeper to make sure he does things like eat, sleep and even shower. Dom Tristan has had a thing for Dakota since before he met him in real life and after a chance meeting he can feel the connection between them. So when he hears that Dakota needs an assistant he applies as it is a role he was born to play. When a distracted, artistic sub meets a Dom with a thing for organization and role-playing, a beautiful masterpiece of a relationship can’t be far behind.
I enjoyed this story with the care that Tristan took over caring for the disorganised and ill-disciplined Dakota and the care he also took of Wade who was still struggling with the loss of his husband which was both heartbreaking and inspiring. I loved the way that Tristan knew Dakota's book plots so well and that he was able to stop into the role of the dom in the stories. It was easy to read, feel and understand. This story contains MM mature content with a BSDM-like D/s dynamic featuring spanking and non-shifter alpha/omega dynamics.
This series has been fun and sexy, and Dakota and Tristan's romance continues the trend. I like Dakota's inability to stay in the moment, as his writer's brain is always getting ideas for new books. Unlike his past dates and even his closest friends, who sometimes grow frustrated with this trait, Tristan loves it. Dakota looks innocent, but he really isn't, and that matches well with the kinks of his new dom. I love the fantasy play, which is definitely sexy. I also appreciate the extra time spent with Wade, who is the final omega in the group who needs to find love. Wade breaks my heart, and I am so glad he is closer to his happy ending. The friendship, kinky fun, and humor make this a favorite series, and I recommend it highly. I do encourage new readers to start with Tanner's book, because this is one long story separated into each couple's romance. I love them all!
I love this series. It’s got sexy Doms and sassy submissives with so much sweetness and love that I can’t help but feel like I’ve been cuddled in it. And this one is the sexiest of them all. Even better it’s Omegaverse yet the omegas aren’t supposed to want to be submissive. That’s what makes it really interesting. Smart sexy and determined these omegas get their happily ever afters regardless of what society says. Hey they may even change things while they are at it. Dakota is one of my favorite characters and getting his story was a dream come true. I really liked that we got more of Wade here too. Man I want to just stay in these books and never leave.
With every book you get to know these wonderful characters a little more. And they also will dig deeper into your heart. Dakota and Tristan add another awesome kinky love story to the series. Dakota definitely needs Tristan to keep him in line and his head in this world, lol. Tristan is so understanding and supportive of Dakota and his scatterbrained life. And omg, Tristan's support of Dakota's and Wade's friendship is so heartwarming and made me want to cry. I was actually hoping that Wade will be become part of Tristan and Dakota's love/relationship, a throuple. Now I'm debating which story I want more...Wade or Rowan's.
Tristan is amazing! He's not the kind of Dom to fill a cookie cutter role. He's very much a caretaker and that extends to everyone around him not just his sub. He doesn't try to change Dakota, he just makes it easier to be himself and see's all of the awesome qualities about him that others just don't understand. Dakota is much more than just the flighty forgetful omega that people think he is. Of course we got another hilarious "boy's night." Those are always fun and Tristan handled it beautifully, especially things with Wade. My heart breaks for him.
So I did like Tristan and Dakota especially because Tristan got Dakota so well, you know . And it was great to see the past couple’s . But Again with like the group stuff. like I enjoy the series, but whenever they do you like sort of like slight, I guess like an orgy or like where they all kinda doing sexual stuff together it just kind of it’s not for me you know. I couldn’t read the end of this book because of that like hell no. To each their own but I just personally don’t like that for myself and I don’t really want to read about it.
I have been chomping at the bit for Dakota's story since the beginning of this series and I was NOT disappointed!
Dakota and Tristan. Omg. They were perfect and amazing. This story was the perfect combination of sweet and heat and I devoured it top to bottom.
I honestly can't decide if I want rowan's story or wade's next. *Sigh* There is no wrong answer here but waiting is going to kill me I think. Another amazing installment to this series. Top notch!
Normally when a series starts to bring in new characters for ones we kinda know I pull away. I thought this was going to be the same as we haven’t REALLY gotten to know Dakota and Tristan was completely new. Surprisingly I adored them.
- Age gap (?) - Monoga-flexible (?) - Super speedy
This book gave me reason to finish this series, with Wade’s book, as we get to know Wade much better.
Rereading Book 4 was a must for me just so I had myself in the picture frame. This story is truly a work of Art! A Dom & Boyfriend to a Sexy Omega makes the pages have laughter and Steamy Sex scenes, where they both relive scenes from Books the Omega has written. Great Series, hope there will be more.
It seems to be a contradiction but I found this bdsm book to be really sweet. I guess the daddy/boy aspect and the low level of pain play has something to do with it. The biggest part of the sweetness to me though comes from how well these two men fit each others needs. What a great addition to this terrific series.
I've just been loving everything by Shaw Montgomery lately and this book was no exception. I've been looking forward to Dakota getting his own book and this installment of the Romance and Revolutions series more than lived up to my expectations. Like other Shaw Montgomery books, I will likely be rereading this again in a year or so. Sweet, charming, and kinky fun.
I've loved all the Romance and Revolutions books so far but this one is exceptional. I laughed till I cried at the drunk scenes and I cried with Wade when he was missing Matthew. It was quite a rollercoaster of emotions and I loved it all. I'm really hoping that Rowan has a book somwhere.
This was just perfect. Hot and sweet, with scenes that made me laugh and brought tears to my eyes. Just a wonderful way go start the weekend. This is part of a series and makes much more sense if read in order
This group of Omegas are fabulous. In this book we get to know Dakota better and meet his perfect Dom. His new personal assistant becomes his Dom. And with a push from his friends, also his boyfriend. We're getting closer to the club opening. I can't wait.
Sweet writer Dakota who lives in the stories in his head meets the perfect alpha for him in Tristan. Great to read their story and see Dakota's imagination come to Sexy life. Loved it! Can't wait to read about Wade.
Wow this was such an amazing read. Dakota and his friends as always made me giggle and the scenes were super hot! I loved his and Tristan connection and OMG the stuck scene!! 🤣
Another great book about these omega .Dakota always seemed the quiet one but he has a brilliant imagination . Tristan comes to work for him but seems to know more about the omega than most. Brilliant read highly recommend
Loved the dynamic between the characters and the development of the story. Drunk dialling and a scattered writer's brain is the best fodder for funny dialogue!!
The first book that has ever had me curious about the writing process. Dakota is sweet, adorable and amazing and so deserving of an alpha like Tristan.
Holy Hanna Batman on to the last one ... so excited and so sad at the same time lol ... this has been a fabulous series and I think that there maybe more ... fingers crossed
