I picked up this book at the grocery store, knowing I’d have some time on my hands and wanting something that would be light. It was, and it was interesting enough. I read it quickly and wanted to know what happened next so that’s a good sign.
It’s about a widow who’s first husband was a drinker and was abusive. She had a son with him and he died after 3 years. 13 years later she’s not interested in dating but meets her son’s best friend’s dad and falls for him but is afraid to trust another man.

(I only read one of the novels in this book)

(3⭐️’s) The Courtship of Carol Sommars
I liked this one but IMO it took the h way to long to tell the H about her past. Also the back and forth she was doing started to get on my nerves. Other then that it wasn’t bad and I really liked the side characters.

(2.5 ⭐️’s) The Nanny’s Secret Baby
This one had a good plot but the overall story just wasn’t for me.

Overall this wasn’t a bad book, it just wasn’t for me.
