Mercedes “Mercy” Sheridan is no stranger to motorcycle clubs, or the violence that comes along with them. Being the daughter of the infamous Static Law president, Chuck Sheridan, her life has been no bed of roses. And, fed up after the death of a friend she cared about, at her fathers hand, she decided enough was enough. What she didn’t anticipate was escaping one club, only to come face to face with another.
Tonka Hopkins, the Hells Redemption biker who offers her help after coming face to face with guns after her car broke down, is nothing like Mercy is used to. Kind, happy, and downright sexy, he only serves to confuse her about MCs.
But with the proverbial sword over her head that is her father, can Mercy sort her thoughts and more, get the hell out of New Mexico fast enough? And even if she can... will she want to?

Mercedes “Mercy” Sheridan is no stranger to motorcycle clubs, or the violence as the resentful daughter of infamous Static Law president, Chuck Sheridan. Fed up after the death of a friend she cared about, at her fathers hand, she leaves.
She didn’t anticipate escaping one club, for another. Tonka Hopkins, the Hells Redemption (RH) biker offers her help after she met resistance in the form of guns after her car broke down. A gentle, kind and sexy giant, he confuses her with kindness, based on her father’s club experience.
With impending danger ... namely her father, can Mercy survive through her feelings?
Escaping her car is need of repairs. A Good Samaritan biker offers her help, which she reluctantly accepts. “Death or patch over?” Tonka ignored her demands. “Woman, you need to explain and quickly.” The man’s words were hardened, betrayal and anger coloring his face as clearly as the adrenaline beginning to rush through her body. “I help you and you reward me with pulling iron?” She shook her head. “This has nothing to do with you, Tonka, and, no, I’m not drawing on you. I will explain, but first I need to know: death or patch over?” “Mercedes Sheridan? Is that you?” God damnit, she swore, wincing slightly and refusing to turn toward the voice. Instead, she kept her eyes locked on the man she’d grown fond of in such a short time. “Death or patch over?” she asked again, her words a mere whisper, barely heard over the rumble of motorcycles approaching the compound. She wouldn’t repeat herself a fourth time, though. “Both,” the man answered cautiously, his eyes darting from her to the voice that had called her name. “Now explain, in as few words as humanly possible.” “Static Law?” She arched an eyebrow and he nodded. “The founding president’s name is Charles ‘Chucky’ Sheridan. And he is also my father.”
“As for these,” she waved at the destroyed cuts, “I don’t know if I know the men they belonged to, I don’t know if I’d be happier if they were dead or if they were patched over to your club. What I do know is if I stroll along in, there is going to be trouble. Trouble for me… you, your club.” “Mercedes Sheridan!” the voice, much closer than it had been, repeated. The tone had turned demanding and, taking a deep breath, Mercy peeled her eyes away from Tonka. “Hello, Staple,” she greeted, completely void of any emotion. She couldn’t afford to give anything away - not the way she felt, not her next move, nothing. Doing so would be more dangerous than facing off with a hungry lion in Africa.
“Mercedes Sheridan,” a female answered, confidently, drawing Mercy’s attention to her. She felt her eyes widen as she took in the other woman. Standing before her was a woman who stood no more than five foot five. Her long blonde hair was pulled into a simple ponytail, the ends curled, betraying an elegant style that was no more. But, it was the dress that kept Mercy’s eyes glued to the petite woman. It was stunning, fit for a princess - a white, strapless ball gown made of lace and tulle, with intricate silver angel wings spanning the tulle of the skirt. On top of the wedding dress being beautiful, it was also completely out of place amongst the weapons and angry faces. Except, somehow, it wasn’t. “Mercedes Sheridan, skilled mechanic, one of the best in America. Graduated MIT at the top of her class and opened a garage in her hometown of Wyoming. Also proficient in making unique weaponry in her spare time, though not a common fact. Mercy is Princess of the Static Law MC. Daughter of Chucky Sheridan, the founding president and all-around baddie. Amidst violence and survival, Mercy felt hope that she’d found a group of people she cared about, a man who respected who she was and she wasn’t seen as property. She even toyed with the possibility of one day prospecting for Hells Redemption.

Guys, JULI KILLED IT! I fell for these characters HARD and with this new addition to the MC Series, I was brought back into the world that I love so dearly. I mean, my daughter is named after Poet, that should tell you something.
This can be read as a standalone, but I would read the other books if I were you, you wont regret it in the slightest. Juli is a MASTER in the MC world and I loved her hard as nails heroines who kick butt.
This is Tonka and Mercy's story and it has some big twists you don't see coming.
This novel is non stop from start to finish and the adrenaline of the read definitely fuels these two. I love when characters come together and it is instantaneous and explosive, and it is absolutely that with these two.
Juli weaves this high adrenaline read around you and by the time you are done, you need shower and a cold drink.
