Very naive, ridiculous, maybe 5% funny, and a little bit of racist white dude's point of view. When he says "you won't see it in the West" he's so naive and untrue. He actually implied that there is no racism in North America. Not trying to make excuses for Russia, but the POV is very young and naive. He layer says that he's conservative and not a liberal, which makes sense.
Some things about Russia are simply untrue, such as not being able to flush toilet paper - this is not a thing in probably 90% of the bathrooms in St Petersburg where he studied.
His topics for discussion with his teenage students are questionable at best. He clearly made one student uncomfortable talking about prostitution.
Finally, this is a book that promotes his YouTube channel and it's just too bad.
It also hits different reading it now, after the war had started, especially the beginning where he is, again, so naive and hopeful.

Fun fact: we studied in the same university at the same time.
