All she needs is a little time to decompress and find herself again. And a four-week getaway to an idyllic, beautiful cottage in Devon seems like the perfect way to do it.
Until she’s woken up by a handsome stranger entering her bedroom.
Callum Warren is on a serious time crunch with his manuscript. He needs to escape, to get away from all the distractions in Camden Town. Some quiet time at his favourite writing sanctuary always does the trick.

L.S. Pullen, aka Leila, is an indie author, born and raised in North London; and now resides in East of England. No longer working the corporate life, she writes full time. When she’s not writing or reading, you’ll find her walking her adopted pooch Luna whilst squirrel spotting. As well as looking after her bunnies Beatrix & Bucky. And in true English cliche fashion, she loves afternoon tea.

Telling her corporate job to take a hike, packing up, and leaving town to spend a month in a cabin is just what Quinn needed. She needed to reset and try to find her self-worth again. After it was trampled all over by her vicious co-workers and ex when he left her. She wants to focus on trying to finish one of her many manuscripts.
Every year Callum leaves the city to stay in the cabin that his family visited many times before. He is on a strict deadline and needs to get his manuscript finished. He is looking forward to the peace and quiet that will come once he gets there.
Neither of them was expecting the other, looks like the elderly owner double booked the cabin. After one embarrassing morning, they believe everything will be okay because one of them can find somewhere else to stay. That is until the world goes into lockdown. Now Callum and Quinn are stuck in a one-bedroom cabin.
Will Quinn finally be able to finish a book? Is the attraction Callum feels toward Quinn one-sided? Will Quinn's self-worth be ruined once again by the secret that Callum is hiding?
First off, thank you Leila for giving me a chance to read this before it is released to the public. This book is a perfect read if you find yourself in a funk, or if you have been reading something with a heavy plot. The story is sweet, spicey, and has a little drama. It is also a perfect read for someone who is struggling with their self-worth. Watching Callum and Quinn work to show her how amazing she is was emotional at times but worth every tear you might shed. Some of the advice he gives her really sunk into my brain and made me few how I am looking at myself. This will be a story that sticks with me and one I need on my shelves.
This is the second book in this series and I loved it. Hooked from the better, this story kept me engaged, and I did not want to stop reading. I just loved Quinn. She was relatable, you want the best for her. And Callum, even before he knows her, he treats Quinn so well, and is respectful. And how he does with Bonnie.. so sweet. Their relationship is loaded with chemistry right from the start. And sparks fly between them. I definitely recommend this book. It has it all, laughter, heart, and lots of steamy bits.
I am loving this series! ❤️ This is book #2 of the Love in Lockdown series and it focuses on Quinn and Callum.
We've very briefly met Quinn in book #1 as she is Sienna's BFF. Quinn has booked a cottage to get away from her life for a while but unbeknownst to her the cottage is double booked. The first chapter of how this happens had me in stitches! What a way for them to meet!
I loved reading Quinn and Callum journey to finding love. It was a tad wobbly as Callum has a bit of a secret! This book is such an easy read but so difficult to put down! I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved the relationship between the characters and they both gave us plenty of laughs (shower door, nettles 😬) It was wonderful to read about Quinn's journey on opening up and loving herself. And the 🔥 wasssss H. O. T 🥵🥵
Well done Leila on another fantastic read! Bring on book #3 ❤️❤️
Callum and Quinn end up sharing a holiday cottage during lockdown due to an oversight with the bookings. As the weeks pass they grow close and they find themselves looking after the owner of the cottage and her dog.
Their story is a sweet, easy read with a side of spice. I enjoyed the book and like how it was set in a time when a lot found it difficult. The descriptions of the small details like the weather and the daily updates, brought it back and I was able to picture the time so well. I also enjoyed the links to book one in this series, Sienna and Theo's story. Intertwining tales are a favourite.
You will find this book a great escape and difficult to put down. If you haven't read the first book, it will not print your enjoyment of this book, but on completion you'll read it :) Enjoy!
Omg Quinn and Callum are actually the cutest yet smuttiest couple ever 😍🤍 I loved reading their story during there Love in Lockdown in the cute cottage in Devon 🥰 Everything about this book is just amazing! It’s funny, has such strong, sexy characters and is very spicy 🔥🔥 That blindfold scene had me feeling very hot and needing a glass of water 🥵 Along with the spicy scenes, there we’re also some great cute, funny moments 🥰🖤 Quinn’s journey to opening up and loving herself is just so heartwarming ❤️ Overall I just loved everything about this book and this series has my heart 🤍
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 🌶🌶🌶🌶/5
Thank you Leila for sending me this for an honest review I can’t explain how much I’ve loved reading these two books over the past few days 🤍 I can’t wait for the third book in the Love in Lockdown Series 😍🔥
Late review hence the backdate, but this was SO FUCKING HILARIOUS AND SEXY AND THE BEST. Anyway, I have discovered a new favourite author for smut haha. Clearly, I didn't read the blurb cause the pandemic plot threw me off, the first one I've seen with good execution. Seeing her read one of his books without her knowing he was the author was so cute, but the pen-name drama and trust issues were so dramatic lol. Little Dove as a nickname was so cute. Someone remind me to re-read this later.
The funniest moment that became a run-on joke for the rest of the book: - Stay where you are.” My hands shake as I dial 999. “I’m calling the police.” He ignores me and kneels to retrieve the object which socked him straight in the head. “Is this a fucking dildo?” His eyes flick to mine, slightly unfocused as he moves back into a standing position, holding Reggie in his hand with a look of utter disbelief. Could this be any more awkward? “Did you just hit me with a goddamn dildo?”
Other funny moments: - “Hello.” Quinn drops to her knees and stroking Nell on her back, and also giving me the perfect view of her cleavage. She looks up and catches me before I have the chance to look away. Great. (poor guy haha) - Liam: Please tell me you are lying and this is something you’re writing for your book? Shaking my head, I laugh under my breath. I wish. I quickly snap a photo of my forehead and hit send. Liam: *GIF of a giant dildo* -“It is when you have mud on your face,” he replies. I bring my hand up, and as soon as I touch my cheek, I realise what I’ve just done. He lets out a deep belly laugh, and I can’t help but laugh with him this time––something about it is contagious. - If I wasn’t so turned on, I might be a little shocked by his words, but the dirty way he asked only arouses me more. His finger dips inside my opening but doesn’t go any deeper. My breaths come out choppy, desperate for him to go deeper. “Sorry, I didn’t hear you. Was that a yes?” - “You’re kind, compassionate, smart. You have wicked aim with a dildo.” - “I love that you’re trying to downplay the fact I can’t balance for shit.”
The Epilogue (WTAF LOL): - Highlight (yellow) - Page 230: “God no. I’m surprised, like totally flabbergasted surprised. Did you get a mortgage on it?” (Of course he bought the cottage RIP the start was so good) - Highlight (yellow) - Page 232: I’m already on one knee with a ring box open in my hand (Seriously they moved in together 2 pages ago) - Highlight (yellow) - Page 234: “We’re pregnant.” (She literally said yes to marriage one page ago)
Relatable moments: - “I didn’t have the best experience in my corporate job. There were some women who made my life a living hell.” He frowns, forming a ‘V’ between his brows. “Grown women do that?”“Yeah, you’d think they’d grow out of the mean girl shit, but evidentially not. I spent almost two years questioning everything about myself, my worth, wondering how to make them like me, and the harder I tried the worse they became. It got to a point my emotional and mental health were taking a huge hit. So eventually, after support from my best friend and my parents, I was signed off sick and then I quit. It’s weird because up until that moment I kept trying to make it work.” - But I’m terrified of letting myself fall and giving into him completely. Having my self-esteem ripped away piece by piece left me a different version of myself, one I no longer recognised. I’ve always been a very confident person––sure of myself. And now, there’s always this self-doubt and niggling at the back of my mind that I’m not good enough. What does Callum see in me? Does he have an ulterior motive? Is this a set-up from those girls who made my life a living hell?
Smut moments: - I flick him with the water from the washing-up bowl. “Oh, it’s like that, is it?” he asks, and then before I know it, he has me pinned. My spine is against the sink, and his body is flush with mine. My breath catches in my throat when he reaches around my hip and dips his hand in the water. His intentions are clear as he brings his hand to my face, smearing some bubbles over my nose and cheeks. I let out an audible gasp and I lick my dry lips, his eyes tracking the movement. His nostrils flare slightly, and his eyes grow a shade darker, his head dipping precariously close to my mouth. - But just for the record, if you ever did decide to proposition me, I can assure you I’d be interested.” He stands up and reaches for his plate, winking at me before he turns and walks into the kitchen, leaving me with my mouth agape. - Unable to keep my moan at bay, his fingers flex around my neck, pulling me even closer, and I fucking love it. - This time, I crash my lips against hers and relish the desperate way her fingers glide up over my shoulder and grip the back of my head as she sinks her fingers into my hair––and now I’m the one groaning. I don’t know how long we make out, but when we come up for air, she’s straddling my lap, her core pressing where I want it the most, and her lips are slightly swollen from being well and truly kissed. - I want to worship your body until I have to remind you to breathe because the pleasure is too much. - Something I haven’t told Quinn is how much I’m into Auralism—I get aroused by sound. Whether it’s skin-on-skin slapping during intercourse or how wet they are, the sounds they make and the more pleasured they are turns me the fuck on.
Unpredicted Love was amazing. At first I was a bit sceptical about how quickly the intensity of their relationship blossomed, but thinking of my own lockdown love story I realised it was definitely more intense than normal.
Callum and Quinn are so cute together and a great example of how relationship history doesn’t matter to the right person.
I loved Quinn. It was really understandable why she quit her job. Mean girls don't grow up. She was a sweet character. I understood her reasoning the whole book.
Callum, Callum, Callum... he was so sweet to the neighbor. There was once or twice I wanted to reach in and shake him, lol!
It was spicy, there was humor and sweetness.
I can't wait to read book 3, I love childhood crushes.
First off, this book was so good!! Quinn is such a great character with real life problems most of us can relate to! Callum is great and knows exactly what he is doing! I seriously loved everything about this and the heat was there! Great add to this series! Can’t wait for the next one!
I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
Unpredicted Love by L.S. Pullen is a contemporary romance. It's the second book from the "Love in Lockdown Chronicles" series.
I just love this series. Even though the theme of it is the forced proximity romance, each book has a very different plot. This one is sweeter and kinda kinky. I really liked the secluded cottage in the woods, it created a beautiful scenery for such a romantic story. The characters were amazing. I liked that both of them were writers although in different stages in their careers. Quinn was such a wonderful woman, she was so accepting and never judged. Callum was incredible as well. He was so giving and caring. Both of them had their own issues that they managed to overcome. They effortlessly fell in love and it was so natural. My favorite part of the book was the moment they met, it was hilarious.
I highly recommend you to read this book and I will rate it with 5 stars
Another delightful story by author LS Pullen. Callum and Quinn have a great meet cute right at the beginning of lockdown. Watching their relationship develop over the next few weeks is a lot of fun for the reader. The epilogue is the perfect ending to a light-hearted romp. Can’t wait for the next one in the series.
2 stars only because it would be cute it it hadn't included this:
“Yeah, it’s, fuck…” He hisses when I spread my big toe and index toe to allow me to work up and down his shaft in a different way. He throws his head back before looking back down. Using my other foot, I gently toe his ball sack
Love Callum and Quinn’s romance so much and l love that Quinn is writing her first book while she is away on a four week getaway after leaving her toxic job and Callum is a best selling author and he has a pen name and love Quinn friendship with sienna and love that Theo and sienna appear in this book and that both Callum and sienna are close with there families and Quinn and sienna buddy reading one of Callum’s books paranormal why choose romance and he also writes urban fantasy and other sub genres and love that he calls Quinn little dove and their first encounter together is hilarious and can never forget it and love Callum’s friendship with Liam who is currently living with Callum’s sister verity and love the spicy scenes between Callum and Quinn and I really like that Callum is being honest and open with Quinn and not a fan of Karman in the book keeping messaging him and Quinn answer sienna both have tattoos and Bonnie who double booked the cottage by accident and Callum’s knows her family and Callum and Quinn have been helping Bonnie with everyday life since she has early on set dementia and needs help but I absolutely love the ending with Callum showing up at Quinn’s flat and apologising to Quinn and love that want to move in together so Callum’s buys the cottage in Devon for them and Callum also proposes to Quinn and she tells him that she is pregnant with his baby and I just love this book so much and it’s my favourite in the series so far and set during the Covid 19/ pandemic and love it when Callum helps Quinn when she is having a anxiety attack

Quinn Lawson fInds herself at a little cottage getaway to escape the reality of her life. To focus on her happiness and her writing with the dreams of publishing.
A disturbed slumber leaves Quinn frightened. Waking to a figure in the door. With one weapon at hand, she throws it with force and hits her mystery person with a thump. As the lights are turned on, it appears it wasn't a weapon at all. However, it was a toy of pleasure. IYKYK 😈
Mystery man, Callum takes it all in his stride. While Quinns embarrassment eats away at her.
Time together progresses as the country goes into lockdown. Leaving the two to get to know each other. Except for Callums secret.
As his deadline draws closer, he knows he has to bring his work to him. With boxes upon boxes of books to be signed, callum finds himself caring for Bonnie. This means Quinn is home for the delivery.
Without wanting to say too much more, this book was amazing. The character development and the couples' growth had my heart warming. This is a beautifully crafted book with a storyline to die for. As always, Leila doesn't disappoint. She knows what her audience wants, and she delivers. A beautiful, hilarious, and heart-wrenching read.
I really wanted to like this book, the premise was good and it was actually TikTok which put it on my radar. It was well written overall, however there was one issue which I just found myself not being able to get over with this book, the male character was so unrealistic that I just couldn't get past it.
I saw where the author was going with this character, the fact that he was suppose to be more feminine and gentle and such, however at the same time the author kept saying how unfeminine and gentle the male character was. It kind of takes you out of the story when you see the male character, who is suppose to be a player that the main female does not want to be with, suddenly ends up in bed with the female and she is the one who comes to him because she just can't hold back anymore.
It was disappointing, but I understand what the premise of that male character was and I can appreciate it hence why 2 stars.
Another short, sweet, easy to read book. 4 ⭐️ read. Honestly their love story in my opinion was better than the first book. Quinn & Callum connected in the most natural and perfect way. Don't get my wrong, the way everything started out was a bit unrealistic, like in what world would you agree to have a complete stranger live with you through a lockdown? But from there, the relationship between these two just flowed. It was a slow, sweet burn and then quickly ramped up from there. I love that Callum, even though he had never had a serious relationship, showed such tender, love and care towards Quinn and wanted to make her see and believe that she was perfect in everyway. He brought back out her confidence and they created something with each other that they both needed. A very cute love story indeed.
This book is fantastic, I absolutely adored Quinn and Callum. The whole concept was brilliant and I loved how the storyline developed throughout. I loved the trope of "one bed" but in this case it was one cottage and I loved how the characters relationship developed organically rather than it being forced. The lockdown concept was great too as it felt realistic, I mean of course we all lived through it, if we all had a Callum I think no one would have been complaining 😉 Speaking of the characters, I really liked the realistic nature of all characters, from how honest Callum was to Bonnie, bless her... I'm hoping she's alright. The writing was perfect it captured me from the moment the story started, the romance and the spice in this novel is 10/10. It brought the story together, I loved it all!
I really need to get the other books in this connecting series 🩷
This is book 2 in the Lockdown series and although it can be read as a standlone it does interconnect with the characters from the other books which is great. I loved Callum and Quinn! The friendship and then the sparks flying was just fantastic.. but the opening scenes when they met was just hilarious and had me hooked to the story instantly. Can't wait to read book 3 next! *Read as part of KU*
I felt like this was all over the place and very disjointed. There were some great moments, but I have to say, for the first 54% of the book I was bored because 1.slowburn, b.the tension that is so important in slowburn was missing for me. The rest of the book (after the fuckfest number 1) went faster but also made me realise I have limits. Specifically, the word "auralism" makes me 🤢🤢
So I'm sorry, I'm sure it will please somebody, but it's not me
cute romance. shame about third act breakup i prefer if they just work through it and it didn’t make too much sense that she left i felt like she was in a good place. also wasn’t a fan on the fact he was suppose to be a playboy but his personality just didn’t fit with that? not sure if it worked tbh. liked the addition of the neighbour being a character. do love a slow burn and forced proximity tho
This one got me really thinking about a lot in my life and how I view things. It is so relatable, sweet and of course drama which is what makes it relatable. I love reading books that make it feel like a real world. This one has love in lock down, forced proximity, slow burn but it all is put together in perfection. I love Callum though! I recommend!
a super fast read. There wasnt anything particularly great about it but it’s enough to read in between other heavy books. The plot was there and easy to follow. Characters were straight forward, no event that had my eye twitching or anything giggle worthy.
