2014 की लोकसभा में चुनावी विजय के बाद भाजपा ने पीछे मुड़कर नहीं देखा और एक-के-बाद एक विधानसभा चुनावों में विजयश्री प्राप्त की। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और भाजपा य अमित शाह की जोड़ी की अप्रतिम रणनीतियों ने 2019 के लोकसभा चुनावों में अभूतपूर्व जीत का मार्ग प्रशस्त किया। इस जीत ने सबके मन में यह जिज्ञासा उत्पन्न की कि ऐसा संभव कैसे हो पाया। भारतीय जनता पार्टी ने बहुत चतुराई के साथ अपनी बनिया-ब्राह्मण वाली पार्टी की छवि तोड़ने की योजना पर काम किया। गरीब और गरीबी के जरिए भाजपा और नरेंद्र मोदी की रणनीति गरीबों के हिमायती होने का वही टैग हासिल करने की बनी, जो कभी पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री इंदिरा गांधी के साथ जुड़ा था। इसमें नोटबंदी का फैसला सबसे अहम था। इस फैसले में बड़ा जोखिम भी था। लेकिन इसके बाद के उत्तर प्रदेश विधानसभा चुनाव में जिस तरह से भाजपा को बड़ी जीत हासिल हुई, पार्टी ने जाति की बजाय वर्ग की राजनीति को प्राथमिकता दी। उत्तर प्रदेश में अमित शाह ने जिस तरह से सामाजिक समीकरण का जाल बिछाया था, वह बाद में अन्य चुनावों के लिए मॉडल बन गया। लेकिन बड़ी जीत के बाद भी उन राज्यों में विस्तार की योजना को थमने नहीं दिया, जहाँ पार्टी 2014 में भी कमजोर थी। यह पुस्तक भाजपा की तमाम चुनावी रणनीतियों का खुलासा करती है, जो सांगठनिक प्रक्रिया में सर्कुलर खबरों के लिए नहीं आ पाते, वे संयोगवश लेखक को मिल गए और जिससे भी साझा किया, उसे यही कहना पड़ा—यह भाजपा की माइक्रो नहीं नैनो स्ट्रैटजी है। प्रखर पत्रकार संतोष कुमार ने अपनी स्वभावजनित जिज्ञासा के आधार पर विश्लेषण करके यह पुस्तक लिखी है।.

Read it not from a political ideology, but from a strategy (almost like a corporate) about a desired objective of winning election. The book details about strategy like designing slogans, selecting candidates based on elaborate feedback, potraying the narrative, campaign, advertisement, elaborate research work..and coming together of the whole machinery for a single cause: winning the election.

The book charts the journey of BJP's historic victory in the 2019 General Elections. It is quite clear that the book is written by a reporter and not an 'author' per se. The reason it is so that it chronicles the journey by providing ample data to back up the story, yet the narrative is missing from the book. And this somehow reduces the pleasure of reading the book.

The editing of the book has also not been done properly and it seems to be a rushed publication and a lot of words have spelling errors or English words have been used, where Hindi would have sufficed. The book also lacks proper tables where data is presented which hampers the data comparison for the readers (at least in the Kindle edition).

In conclusion, though the book is obviously well researched and looks like a story told by a person who has closely shadowed the workings of the party for a long time and especially in the election period, yet it leaves you high because of the many factors listed above.

Even though I support right wing conservative politics, this is not a book but reads more like a political campaign pamphlet. I enjoyed author's interview online, but trust me, this book has nothing to read. You could have simply watched the interviews. Pretty bad attempt in comparision with Rajdeep's book, which atleast was written like one.

Average book

Its just an average book. Not many insights as most of the things are known publicly. Many things are touched in a very superficial way.
