This is the first book in the series that I have read and I loved it. Each book can be read as a standalone. Kendall and Logan were such a great couple. They were so cute together. The chemistry between them was so hot. You could feel it coming off the pages. I love books that make you feel what the characters are feeling. This is why I read romance - stories like this. I was hooked from page one and I didn’t come up for air until it was done.

LOVE LOVE LOVED IT!!!

This standalone romance from Piper Lawson is just what the doctor ordered. It's packed with laughs, plenty of genuine feels and enough chemistry to melt your kindle. There were scenes in this one so delicious hubs got a 1.30am wake up call!! Enough said.

It's packed with witty dialogue, fantastic supporting characters and the kind of growly alpha goodness I love. Throw in a super cute HEA and I was a very happy reader.

Definitely recommend this one. Piper has fast become a one click author for me. Loving her storytelling more with each book.

Bad Love by Piper Lawson is a sweet, fun and very entertaining read.

I enjoyed the storyline, it's well written, with likable and fun characters that entertained me all throughout the book.

Watching the relationship between Logan and Kendall unfold had me smiling, laughing, swooning and I loved them together. They may have started out as opposites but the more time they spent getting to know each other, putting done their guards and opening up to each other it was obvious they shared that something special most people search a lifetime for.
Logan and Kendall are great characters and deserved their happily ever after.



Bad Love is a lovely addition to the Modern Romance series, each book can be read as a standalone and I highly recommend it.

This book is sheer genius, I love Logan and Kendall’s storyline. The intensity of the love these two share is beautiful...no epic. This story tells of a single mom juggling life getting by and through work meets a man that changes how she feels about life and love.

I Loved and enjoyed this book so so much.
Logan Hunter is a playboy who shirks any kind of responsibility,
Kendall Sullivan is a single Parent and has nothing but responsibility.
They are two very different people and opposites in everyway, but an unexpected project has them working closely together and intimately getting to know one another..The attraction is magnetic and getting to know one another evokes feelings that take both of them by surprise.
Without even trying they both seem to change eachother for the better and I loved that about both Logan and Kendall..
Logan starts to face up to his responsibilities and Kendall opens up sexually and in life finally vocalising what she wants in life.
Piper has done an amazing job writing this Romance between these two unlikely characters,I was so captivated by the story it was so hard to put down.I was drawn into its depths straight away with just the perfect amount of Romance, steam and swoon worthy moments I cannot find anything that I didn't like..Well maybe Nellie he was a bit of an ass...This is a delightful,sexy heartwarming read and I Highly recommend it.

Logan Hunter and Kendall Sullivan and thrown together in the most unconventional way, but what transpires between them over time is unadulterated magic. The two could not be more opposite, but once they start spending time together their connection is not only professional, but extremely hot and personal.

Piper’s writing is smart, witty, fun, hot, sexy and I couldn’t get enough. I really didn’t know what to expect with this very original storyline, but she captivated me from page one. The banter and shenanigans between them were downright entertaining and when things took a turn in their personal relationship, I could not stop swooning. Logan comes from a very successful family, but he didn’t take advantage of that…okay, maybe a little. He was still a hard worker and the dedication to his family and their company had my starry eyed. Kendall was serious about her work and was badass with her ideas. The two of them clicked in the conference room and the bedroom.

When things heated up between them, I knew Kendall had reservations about their relationship, being she was a single Mom. I respected that about her and so did Logan. I love the way he treated her and her son Rory. He could get the ladies, but wasn’t a player where Kendall and Rory were concerned. That was A+ material to me!

I loved their story, their journey and my heart was full when it was over and done with. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that Piper wrote one of the sexiest, hottest, NON-SEX scenes I’ve ever read. Holy hell Piper, writing like that is why I read. Give me more 🔥🔥🔥

I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntarily, honest review of it.

Let me start by saying that ‘Bad love’ is a sweet, funny and steamy story. I had such fun reading it and once I started it I couldn’t put it down.

From the moment that I read the blurb and discovered that it was a story about a single guy who made a bet that involved vibrators and a single mother, I had to read it.

Kendall and Logan are great characters. Kendall is a smart, sweet sassy woman that because of her upbringing (pastor child) is also a bit naïve in some ways but I love that about her. And Logan may be a playboy but he is also much more than that. Because next to charming and impulsive, he’s also intelligent, attentive and loyal. The chemistry between Logan and Kendall is fantastic and their word play (banter) is amusing. The sex scenes are steamy. (And just like Kendall, I’m a fan of Logan’s tong piercing!)

But the cutest character in this whole book is most definitely Kendall’s son Rory. With his obsession for cooking and his seriousness, he’s just so adorable. The other second characters are also very good. I’m already hoping that Logan’s best friend Monty will get his own book in the future.

‘Bad love’ is told in both POV’s. This story may be the second book in the ‘Modern romance’ series but you don’t have to read the first book to read this one. It can be read as a standalone.
For the readers that loved Play, you are going to love this story too!

Bad Love is the second book in the Modern Romance series by Piper Lawson. Each book can be read as stand-alone. A little thing that's nagging me is that Daisy and Ben's romance sees to have blossomed in this book, yet their story is next and it's making me wonder if the timelines are overlapping or something. I guess I will either have to read the first book in the series or wait until September of 2020 to find out what really happens. The wait is cruel and not cool.

This is the first book I got the chance to read from this author and it was good, but I wasn't blown away. I wasn't a big fan of Logan because he is a carefree player who doesn't always use his mind when he makes a decision. He is the reason I am not going to give 5 stars to the book and will go with 4. Kendall is a much more likable and understandable character. She made a few not so good decisions in the past and now she is trying to do the best for her son who is her world. I liked that we saw him plenty of times and even Logan interacted with him to a level I found acceptable. What I loved the most about Kendall was the video she made because it showed how passionate she was and what her feelings were.


Overall the book was good and the only thing that truly bothered me was Logan and his lack of growth. I feel like he could have done better. Still, that isn't enough to prevent me from saying that I wouldn't recommend the book.

Ahhh Logan Hunter is as sexy as he is cocky. Kendall Sullivan is a single mum, and marketing queen. Together they’re gong to sell 10 000 vibrators… Yep you read hat right. A bad decision and his part of the company on he line Logan is hoping Kendall is his lifeline. In a laugh out loud story, marketing and selling a sex toy is one thing getting comfy with its owner is dangerous.

I loved the single Mum storyline in this but it was Kendall’s son Rory who took on a character of his own, we’ve all heard the saying” an old man in a young mans body”, this was Rory to me. He’s an incredibly smart 8 yr old that loves his mum but loves cooking and creating. Him and Logan were a force to be reckoned with. It was easy to hide the fact she was a single Mum to Logan at first but as his fun presence, cool interior and will to win both this life changing bet and also the crazy, sexy marketer in her flat shoes.

Driving him crazy Kendall pushes everything Logan away but hey if your trying to sell something like vibrators, life and meetings get personal and very heated. Told in both POV’s you’ll love this story. Second chance love collide in a story that will have you feeling everything. As promised this was a great story from Piper Lawson, one I’ll definitely read again.

I thought that this book was laugh out loud funny, need an ice cold beverage hot and melt your heart sweet. Kendall and Logan may have been about as different as possible but I felt that they were pure perfection together. When a bet draws these two together, you just know things are going to get very interesting. I loved Kendall and Logan and I felt that their chemistry was amazing. Their banter was sharp and clever and added lots of zip to the storyline. Kendall's son, Rory was a true scene stealer. He stole my heart and cracked me up!! Add in the many "awww" moments he shared with Logan and trust me when I say, that this kid really brought something special into this book. Just an extremely delightful read. This is my candid review that I am posting of my own accord.

I still have a lot of books to read from this author and I have enjoyed diving into her books as a new to me author. Well I have devoured 3 of them and this is my 4th one within the last month.

Logan and Kendall have a great story to tell about how they met for all time. Not a lot of people can say they met because of a sex toy and that there is one for the books!!! I like the single mom and playboy getting to delve into eachothers lives that helps them both out when they least expect it.
Loved Rory and is adorable Foodie heart. Damn wish my kid loved to explore cooking at that age and create fresh pasta!!

This one was a fun read and just what I needed at this time.

What a great modern day love story with a twist! I loved this face paced, gitty read. Logan/Hunter and Kendall are quite the pair in the best possible way!! Who would have thought that a bet would bring together two unlikely people and they would hit it off so well! They each force the other to look at their life in a different way and in doing so they realise that they are exactly what each other needed! The story is original, the characters are great, and most importantly the story has heart! What a great read!!

Bad love

Hunter was his own man with very little responsibilities while Kendall was a single mom carving out a life for her and her son. They are brought together by a bet Hunter made during a poker game with his friends, a bet which could cost him his share in the family company should he be on the loosing side. But then the sparks started to fly between him and Kendall, a woman he would not normally be interested in. The chemistry between these two are off the charts. Another well written book from Piper Lawson. I received an ARC copy and are leaving a voluntary review.

Of the ten thousand women I need to please, Kendall Sullivan isn’t one of them. Besides. With my luck, she’ll fall for me. Starry-eyed, cock-struck. Because the things I’d do to every inch of her body— from those sexy ankles to those small breasts to her full lips— would ruin her for anyone else.



I know of Piper Lawson and her work but have yet to read anything (until now). I signed up for this ARC excited but with no expectations. However, had I had expectations she would have EASILY shattered them. I'm not sure I can adequately put into words how amazing this book is..... from the gifted writing of Piper, to the incredible characters and their chemistry, to the authenticity of the world she created within this series, and the emotional connectability to the story she wrote. Its all just.....phenomonal.

First Impressions:
I had no familiarity with the author's writing so it was the look of the book that drew me in. The cover was attention grabbing while the title pulled off simple yet intriguing enough to pull me in for the blurb. Once I read the blurb? I was 100% hooked and determined to read it.

Told in dual POV, this is the second installment in the Modern Romance series. A series of interconnected standalones that feature a new couple each installment, Bad Love tells the slow burning love story of Kendall and Logan.

Very serious (at times TOO serious) while trying to live up to an unrealistic ideal in her head of what the perfect mom is, kills herself trying to meet her unreachable expectations. Years of abstinence has awakened a sexual side of herself she hasn't explored. Scared to take chances for fear of being abandoned or letdown. Confident in her work and strong as hell..... she may be inexperienced with men BUT she doesn't let them walk all over her. After meeting Logan, she sees something in him that he doesnt even see, brings out the very best in him. He brings out a less reserved side of her, one where she takes more chances.
5 things I love about her: her Adventure List, her alterego Bad Kendall, her relationship/bond with Rory, the way she is written to be so relatable as a mother, and the fact that she makes Hunter work for everything (she doesn't fall for his typical crap).

Logan Hunter:
Logan Hunter’s the kind of beautiful you can’t know with one sense. Looking at him steals my breath, but it’s his touch that seduces. His kiss that destroys.
The Facts: Gorgeous Lumberjack meets frat boy with a carefree attitude that is terrified of responsibility. Marketing Director and Shareholder(20%) at his family's business, Hunter's Cross microbrewery. Ivy League educated, world traveler, philanthropist, and former model. Wealthy life of the party and ladies man from one of the biggest self-made families in New York. Very sexual person who knows what he wants and how to get it. Cocky and confident in every aspect of his life except in his ability to not let others down. Runs away from his responsibilities because he is scared of destroying his grandmother's legacy. Doesn't think he can be what Kendall needs but wants her anyways. There is so much more than meets the eye with him. After meeting Kendall, he begins to want to prove to her he can be responsible and serious while pulling out a more carefree side from her.
5 things I love about him: his shameless flirting with Kendall, how he calls Kendall "Peach", his feminist beliefs (he has a very high level of respect for the women in his life and refuses to work with those that won't give women the same chance), the way he is with Rory and how devoted he is to making him happy, and his refusal to give up when it comes to Kendall.....okay the 6th thing (since I can't leave this out): how much he respects and admires Kendall for who she is and not who he could make her become.

My 5 Favorites from Book: Everything about Rory especially Bloody Hell, Everything Kendall & Logan, Monty, the "Video", and the "surprise" boxes under the bed. Honorable Mention: Logan's tongue ring.

My 5 Hates from Book: Kendall's parents judgemental attitudes, Blake, Nadine and her perfecr kid (I'm only half serious), Logan's intial reaction to finding out Kendall is a mama, and Kendall's stubbornness.

I seriously cannot rave enough about this book. Piper's gift is on full display in this one.....from the way that she uses the build up like a special type of foreplay to the main event...the way she includes the secondary characters as crucial to the plot/story and not just as fluff.... the way she created two opposites that were not only perfect for each other but naturally brought out what was needed in the other without force or ultimatums.... the way Kendall and Logan are so relatable and unexpected in different ways and have a connection and chemistry that felt authentic....to the way she created an entire universe that felt like a family invested in each other instead of a bunch of characters that just exist within the same series. But most importantly, how she created a story that starts with a bet yet uses a vibrator to connect two people to then use that very tool to bring them back together. A testament to just how PHENOMENAL her writing was in this one?? OVER 120 highlights. It has been a long time since I truly fell in love and was so emotionally invested in a book, but this one definitely reminded me of how it feels. At this point I would be sad its over, but knowing that I am guarenteed to get more of my three favs as she releases more installments has me excited for what's to come. Next up? Daisy & Ben.... which I know will be one insane ride.

If you are already a Piper Stone fan you need no persuasion to dive into Bad Love. But if you are new to her work or weren't a fan of something in the past, this book will change your mind. It has put her on my future one-click list for sure.

Kendall Sullivan, twenty-six, is the daughter of a pastor - a PK. She is also a single mom to eight year old Rory. She separated from her ex-husband six years ago, when she moved to New York with Rory and accepted a job at Closer, a marketing company. She earned her rise from account assistant to senior account manager in five years with her talent for problem solving.

Plagued with guilt for disappointing her religious family with her shot-gun wedding and subsequent divorce, Kendall lives a simple life. Although lonely sometimes, Kendall has her priorities locked down. She doesn't need a man, and it is for the best since she won't make another mistake, and won't expose Rory to any transitory male figures.

When Kendall is assigned a new client, she is immediately out of her comfort zone. Not only is Logan Hunter insanely handsome, he wants her to sell ten thousand vibrators for him in ninety days. With the promise of a bonus if she delivers, Kendall quickly gets down to business, but she can't escape Hunter's sexy gaze. The pair quickly acknowledges their undeniable chemistry and tries to remain professional, but that doesn't last long.

Hunter and Kendall's story sneaks up and hooks you before the end. The beginning is awkward. The chemistry is immediate, but some conversations feel premature. The dialogue feels like it jumps ahead a few steps. The relationship does build, however, and eventually it comes across as authentic and beautiful. Before it ends, it is easy to fall in love with Kendall and Hunter. They deserve their HEA!

Some may object to the portrayal of Kendall's religious family, which comes across as shallow, unsupportive, and judgemental. They are flat. They represent the worst kind of negative Christian stereotype. They don't ascribe to the "What Would Jesus Do?" mainstream.

This book is part of the Modern Romance series. Wes and Rena from "Easy Love" appear in the story. Ben and Daisy of "Twisted Love" are present, and hints of their forthcoming love story are evident.

Hunter and Kendall's story is smart and entertaining. It is well-written with only a few errors. The plot is somewhat simple, and the characters are complex. Beneath his outward confidence, Hunter harbors significant self-doubt. He holds onto guilt. Kendall is surprising strong, but guilt also holds her back. There are a number of supporting characters that merit their own story. Nellie would make an excellent candidate! The POV alternates between Hunter and Kendall. I rate this book four stars.

Opposites definitely attract in this sexy yet serious book. Piper Lawson has done a great job making two characters who could easily be difficult to connect to - an over the top playboy and a religious single mom - into the perfect couple. I loved how these two grew and changed over the course of the book. It had me hooked from start to finish and contained as much sexiness as it did heart.

The story follows Logan Hunter, a man from a wealthy family who is constantly underestimating himself. He considers himself a “good time guy,” going from woman to woman and never sticking around long enough to experience any of the tough times. Over a game of poker with his guy friends, he somehow winds up betting that he can sell 10,000 vibes in 3 months. If he wins, he gets a fancy penthouse that will allow him to up his playboy lifestyle to the next level. But things get real when the stake is shares of the family business he loves. Enter Kendall, the marketing expert tasked with helping him win the bet. She’s attracted to Logan but was raised in a religious family, and the one time she gave into her desire she wound up pregnant. It will take a lot more than an overgrown frat boy to win her over, but as she spends more time with Logan, she realizes there’s a lot more to him than he’d like to admit.

When I started the reading, I wasn’t sure how well I was going to connect with Logan. He is a playboy to the max, and the bet certainly isn’t a flattering one. But Lawson wrote his character perfectly; it didn’t take long for him to grow on me, and I was definitely rooting for these two to get together. It’s sexy yet also heartfelt, the perfect blend of these two characters. The growth they both experienced throughout the story and complexity of their emotions made the book that much more interesting, and I loved the ride.

This is a new-to-me author and I really loved this story.

Logan Hunter is a playboy through and through. He loves to live recklessly and isn't one to take life too seriously. However, one reckless bet later, and he's realised that he's taken things a step too far.

Salvation comes in the form of single mum, Kendall Sullivan. She works hard and strives to give her son a good life. There's no room or time in her life for a relationship. When she's not working, she's busy adding to her bucket "Do Me" list. From the moment they meet, there's no denying the blazing chemistry between them. Although Kendall is beautiful, Hunter can see right away that she's not his usual type, however, he can't help flirting with her or stay away from her. But, can two such opposite people have a chance together?

"He feels like danger. And temptation. A kind of rawness I never thought was real."

This was such a fab, sexy story! Logan might like to live up to his reckless reputation, but he's certainly got his hangups and vulnerable spots. He's a thoroughly nice guy, with a healthy respect for women. Kendall is a tough cookie and has worked hard for her success in the big city. I loved how she could see through to the heart of Logan, and the kind of man he really was under his playboy veneer. I loved how she made him feel - how he wanted to do better for her - but I also loved that he pushed her out of her comfort zone. His rapport with her son, Rory, melted my heart. Logan understands people and that's the secret to his success. These two together were so hot, so real and so right! Loved them!
