Benedetta Carlini: Lesbian Nun of Renaissance Italy!! is a full-length play based on the true stories of Benedetta Carlini, an Italian abbess in the 1600s who seduced another nun while claiming to be a mystic, and Clare, a 1990s college student, who, while struggling with her own sexual identity, becomes obsessed with Benedetta’s story. This book contains the English script as well as a new Italian translation by Daniela Domenici.
Rosemary Rowe is a Vancouver-based playwright, essayist and blogger. Rose did not win on the radio…but she did win at love.
