Standing over six feet tall, USA Today bestselling author Jonathan Moeller has the piercing blue eyes of a Conan of Cimmeria, the bronze-colored hair of a Visigothic warrior-king, and the stern visage of a captain of men, none of which are useful in his career as a computer repairman, alas.

He has written the DEMONSOULED series of sword-and-sorcery novels, and continues to write THE GHOSTS sequence about assassin and spy Caina Amalas, the COMPUTER BEGINNER'S GUIDE series of computer books, and numerous other works. His books have sold over one million copies worldwide.

I really enjoy reading about Mazael, Romaria, Lucan, et al. This time they must succeed perilous testing in order to reach the legendary forge to re-make a Knight Armigers sword. There is somewhat of a race to reach it since others also want to either seize or destroy the forge. There is a manifestation called the Heart of the Forge that pops up from time to time to offer cryptic remarks on their progress.

They have to split up at one point so their paths lead to different challenges. I enjoyed seeing how they figure out how to overcome them, especially when they have been stretched to the limit of their endurance.

Looking forward to the next installment.

Good (spoilers)

I enjoyed the story. At the end of the Demonsouled series, I was wondering when the San-keth would show up again, and they have started to in this series. I wonder if Mazael’s true nature will ever be revealed to the Grim Marches? I also wonder what everyone’s swords will be named?

He did it again

Book 4 is every bit as enjoyable as the first three. Old enemies, new characters & of course Mazael Cravenlock the greatest fighter of them all. The fight sequences saw so much magic & so many different creatures that they actually got better & better. Can’t say much more or will give away much of the ending. Suffice to say Moeller’s talent is on full display

Maezel and his allies had some obstacles and enemies get through in order to find the ancient forge and get Maezel sword remade.

I'll have to admit that Jonathan Moeller has proven that he can tell a story and keep folks interested to the very end. I would recommend This series as well as the Ghost series in which Cania is the protagonist. You won't be sorry that you got into the story

A new path

The author takes you in a different direction in solely focussing on the journey to the forge. Yet don't worry there are lots of twists and battles to be had, a most enjoyable read.

Demonsouled: Wraithshard - Pyre & Forge

Mazael politely requests his uninvited guests return to their plane of existence, but his unwelcome visitors make off with Tymaen as they depart. Before he can go after her, he must reforge Lion and become a Knight Armiger. To do that, he must awaken the Guardian of the Forge in the bowels of the ancient High Elderborn stronghold of Tal Pyrofell. Of course he isn’t the only one seeking buried treasure, so the race is on and the obstacles aplenty.
