Little Torches
It is 1994, and a daughter returns to college after spending months recovering in a psychiatric institute following her rescue by police from a cult. She is carrying a strange bronze box covered in hieroglyphic-like patterns. Moments later, she catches fire, killing herself and many of her classmates and professors. She is not the first. She will not be the last.
Little Torches is the second in a short series of stand-alone modules for Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition, examining human concepts and experiences through the unknowable and alien Cthulhu Mythos. The Investigation features the Great Old One, Cthugha, and explores themes of isolation and alienation. It confronts Investigators with the question of what motivates one to keep battling the Cthulhu Mythos in the face of insurmountable hardship and indescribable nightmare.
