Chet Novicki presents The Alien Interviews in a digestible format. I was able to follow right along with the story from page one without any indiscernible noise that some other books present at the beginning ( neither a pro or a con in my opinion ).
The story is both straight-to-the-point and gives us and engaging, but down to Earth plot where the main character hears from a friend that was supposed to have died years ago, even more he is tasked with decoding stacks of paper from alleged interviews with aliens. This presents problems for the protagonist and his female friend. And, without spoiling too much of the story, there is irony in a way that questions if this story truly is a work of fiction or not, or something more which added to the value of the book for me and this fact alone added an extra star in my rating. Only two major, unanswered questions remained in my mind through this reading and they were both answered by the time I got done reading which was great.
In all honesty, the dialog was -at times- slightly cheesy, blah and predictable. It could use a bit more spunk. Minor inconveniences, albeit this is my worst complaint about this book.
Recommendation:
If you like SciFi books in an format of a proverbial smoothie, The Alien Interviews by Chet Novicki delivers a bunch of words in a configuration that will keep you turning the pages to discover what comes of the recorded interviews with Aliens. It serves as food for thought for our current Earth reality, and that is exactly what SciFi should do. However, the ending revelations aren’t quite groundbreaking in my opinion – your mileage may vary. I give it ★★★★☆ four stars out of five.

Fun little book..but..
I enjoyed reading this..I might've given it a 4 or 5 but, although the main character and his friend were amusing, and I enjoyed reading about them and their mishaps and discoveries....the end result of what the interviews were really about were not so interesting, fun, or meaningful. Someone else said it was anticlimactic, and I agree. I doubted that I would agree at all, but I do.
I will however, try another book of Chet Novicki's, as his humour is similar to my own. And I think I'd like another of his tales of wonder. At least I hope so.
