Eleanor Lloyd-Jones is and always has been a perpetual daydreamer. A mum of one and a full-time primary school teacher, she spins plates and chases her tail in order that she can live out the dream she has had since being a little girl: to write stories.
Like lots of indie authors, her dream is to hit the big time, make all the lists and have some hot-shot movie producer pick up one of her books and turn it into the next blockbuster. Until that happens, she is content to type away, bringing her imagination to life, and just hopes that the people who read her words get some sort of enjoyment out of them and love her characters as much as she does.
First anthology ive read in such a long time *hangs head in shame* I really have missed them. Such a great way to find new authors, there were a few new to me authors in here *hey Kristina beck & k.j. ellis,* and read some new releases from favourite authors all at once*Stacey McWilliams and h.a Robinson waves*. I love anthologies. This one was fantastic. I especially enjoyed Where I Belong by KJ Ellis. It's a great, short story about coming home. KJ is an incredible author, bringing you an amazing, quick read featuring remarkable characters and a strong storyline. I loved it.
I love anthologies and looked forward to this one! So many new authors to explore.
One story that stood out to me was by K.J. Ellis. Her story is called Where I Belong. It’s about a young woman named Emma who is coming back home after being away for ten years. She is excited to come back home for her new job, but is hesitant to see her old friend, Mitch. Will he remember her? Can their old friendship turn into something more? Mitch had feelings for Emma, so when she left, he didn’t think he would ever get a chance with her. So when she came back to town, he was determined to win her over. But does he? You will need to read this delightful story to find out!
A great collection of authors, admittedly I have only read K.J Ellis story in this so far. Working my way through the rest soon.
This is such a good story from K.J. Ellis, Emma returns to her home town after been away for ten years, wondering if Mitch has kept his word and waited for her. A great short story, from the prologue alone, you know it’s going to be story you want to read in one sitting.
As alway all the stories in this anthology were amazing however I arc read this on behalf of KJ Ellis so my review will be on her story.
We follow Emma and Mitch on their story of a young love that forbidden by their ages. They have a best feiend relationship that hold attraction and a genuine love for one another however with Mitch being older and now the news of Emmas family moving away forcing their hands. With declarations and promises made between the young pair for a future so far down the line that it almost seem unreachable.
This is a brilliant love story between long lost yougster that will warm ya heart and steam up your windows.
This anthology has it all! Each story brings something different to the table, showcasing different kinds of love and relationships through engaging characters you really root for, despite the fact they're short stories. To pick a favourite would be impossible, I have loved them all and honestly couldn't recommend this highly enough. Give it a chance, you won't regret it!
