If you have spent any time looking at the world of investing, you may have heard about options at one point or another. Options saw as another class of assets, just like mutual funds, bonds, and stocks. You can purchase options like most other asset classes, by merely using an investment account from a brokerage. You may want to do a bit of research with these ahead of time to ensure you find the right brokerage firm for your needs. An option is a powerful tool because they are going to do some wonders when it comes to enhancing your portfolio.

When you look at the stock exchange, there are going to be many high-profile shares that have a considerable volume in trades, and they may have derivatives that come with them. A derivative is explained as a contract existing between two or more parties in which the contract derives its value from an underlying security, such as an index or a stock.

Well written

I think this book is slightly a step above beginner level. It claims to be a crash course, and it is. However, the author also presupposes you know a lot of information already. I am not super familiar with options trading so I found myself lost quite a bit. But, the information is well written and seems sound. I think like the author says you will have to practice and constantly reevaluate your plans and strategies because the options market is constantly changing. Overall, a great resource for those semi-informed.

Way deeper than expected

I was expecting a surface explanation of the different methods of trading. What I got was a book that was so detailed I felt in over my head quickly. If you have a little experience I feel that this book would be great for you. It tells of different strategies and even ways of trading in a more volatile market with a little more knowledge and hopefully a bit less risk

Grow your money.

When it comes to investments, most people just know about stocks and bonds. Options trading takes more effort than stock trading, but it pays off better. This book explains everything you need to get yourself started. Practice is essential. There is a good chapter on trading terms to help you navigate the system.

Good read

The author does a good job in explaining the different types of trading. He gives detailed examples and instances of successes and failures. I particularly liked the glossary of terminology that I could refer to when I didn't understand a term.
