“The writing bug bit me on a rainy afternoon when I couldn’t find any new book to read. My daughter had enough of my moping around and snapped at me, “Mom, stop whining! If you haven’t a book to read, then write one.” Her challenge shocked me, but I started playing with the idea and I’ve been writing stories, that I like to read, ever since.”

In this short fictional story we get a look into Wiccan beliefs and how it is for good. The author did deep investigation into the subject so as to write a good story based on the information she researched. Narration was well done and made the entire storyline interesting and knowledgeable.
The Potion by Erika M. Szabo was a quick read about three apprentice witches. In this adolescent fantasy, there’s jealousy, a family curse, a werewolf, a rare flower, and teen angst. Well written with heartwarming characters, The Potion is a gem of a story. Is this the beginning of a series? Hint, hint.
