She’s trying to move on after losing her husband. He’s trying to hide from a tragedy he can’t accept. Can two strangers on a mission of recovery find redemption in each other?
Jane: Losing Blake on our wedding day was beyond devastating. Trying to move on with this gaping wound in my heart is like trying to breathe underwater. I can’t do it. But I can’t die either. So, what do I do?
I write a life list. I give myself a reason to get out of bed in the morning. I have to find a way to live without him. I’ll go back to England, where I lost Blake. This will be the start of my journey. The start of breathing again. I’ll never fall in love, but maybe I can learn to smile.
Harry: It’s the life list that did it for me. The night we met in the pub and she told me about it, I was instantly captured. I have to help Jane complete her mission.
That’s why I suggested we travel through Europe together. Yes, we’re complete strangers, but we can make this work. We just need a few rules: No histories. No sex. No complications. We’re simply two people set on living life to the max for two whole weeks. What could possibly go wrong?
It’s not like I’m going to fall in love with her. I made that mistake once and I’m not about to do it again. Except for the fact that Jane is making it impossible not to.

My Leap of Faith is a beautiful story of two lost souls learning how to live again. It's about going on and figuring how to live after tragedy strikes and finding the beautiful moments. It's about daring to hope and love when you're afraid. This was a great read in this series and it was amazing to see these two fall in love. I could feel Jane's fear and it felt so realistic. And Harry is just awesome how was so funny and sweet and nice. And he never stopped fighting for what they have.
My Leap of Faith follows the story of Jane whom we met in the previous book. Her to-be husband died on their wedding and now she's lost. After a year of living like a robot she knows she can't continue like this and decides on a trip to Europe to discover herself. At her first stop she meets Harry and they decide to travel together. They don't talk about their histories and promise not to have sex. This story starts with their trip in Europe, but that's only the beginning of their love story.
This story took some different turns than I had expected, I thought the whole book would be about their Europe trip, but it's actually only the beginning. The rest is about how they try and make a romance work after that. And it actually worked great for this story. I like how just as in the previous book it shows how you have to work for a relationship to work and at the same time it just such a beautiful and uplifting romance book.
I actually don't like widow type of stories usually and rarely pick them up unless I know the author. I find them too sad usually, but there are some books like this that prove me wrong and give me a great story. And yes her loss is a part of the story, especially at first you really feel her sorrow and throughout the book it stays a part of her and later on her guilt for falling for a new guy. But it's also such a beautiful and uplifting story about two broken people finding love again and more importantly to live again. It was sad in places, but mostly it was happy and shows how love can change your life.
And these two characters were just awesome to read about. I liked Jane, how resilient she was and determined to find a way to deal with her loss, but also how vulnerable she was and how deeply she felt things. I liked how she look a leap of faith and went on this crazy trip with Harry and tried things out of her comfort zone and found herself along the way. And Harry is just this awesome funny guy that makes her laugh, but also someone who learns from his mistakes. He lost before and now he is determined to fight for Jane and for what they have and that was beautiful. I really liked him.
And together they are just perfect. It was amazing seeing them have fun and begin to live again during Europe and then after that having to figure out what they have together and how to make things work. I liked how they started out without sex and grew close first and loved each other before it turning into more. It was tough at times seeing them try to figure it out, but I enjoyed seeing them find their way and work through their fears. The only thing that didn't work for me was their last conflict. Maybe I am thinking too realistically, but it just felt like a twist for the sake of breaking them up and I didn't really feel why this broke them up. It just didn't make sense logically as neither of them had anything to do with it or the blame for the situation. I did like how it all got resolved. And the side plot line with the little girl Brandy was great too.
There aren't as many side characters in this book, the focus is really in these two, but the side characters that are there are great. I especially liked Harry's grandmother. And ofcourse Sarah and Justin are there and have some great scenes. I also liked the girl Brandy and the role Harry and Jane played in her story. And the next main character Troy gets introduced and I am looking forward to his story.
To summarize: This was a beautiful romance story. Jane lost her husband to be on their wedding day and now struggles with life, she goes to Europe to discover herself and ends up traveling with Harry. The trip brings them both to life again and they fall in love along the way. I really liked both characters. Jane was trying so hard to life while being so sad, she felt so deeply and also falls for Harry deeply, she struggles with her guilt and fears. Harry is such a sweet and funny guy and I love how hard he fights for Jane and their love. Their romance was awesome and I liked seeing them try to figure out how to make things work. I wasn't a fan of the last conflict, but I did love how it all got resolved. There also was a nice side plot line about a girl Brandy in Jane's class and the next main character got introduced. This was a great read and I am looking forward to the next book in this series!
I read this book upon it's previous release and it was my favourite in the series...until the next one anyway. It still tugged at my heart strings and brought the tears. I still don't know half the song references but it doesn't take away any of the story. Jane and Harry were two characters destined to meet, both had barely survived tragic losses and were existing day to day in their grief. The story line was beautiful, sad, funny and moving. I was waiting for confirmation of what I had suspected and knew then that it was their destiny. The author didn't make their journey easy and I was pleased to see how it all panned out in the end. I enjoyed every moment of this beautiful tale.
Love will always be worth the risk. My leap of faith is the 8th Lyrics of love book. I really thought that after My only love I couldńt be more in love with these books but I was happily surprised. My leap of faith is about Jane and Harry. We met Jane in My only love story, she was going to marry Blake that fateful day in England so after a full year of barely surviving she decides to take a huge risk and start living again. She starts a list of to do things and the first thing in her list is going back to the place that changed her life and get the farewell she yearns. Fate came and puts Harry in her path, he has a great regret and when he finds about Jane’s list he offers her to be his companion in her quest with the condition of keeping friends and not knowing about their past. So they start their road trip of self discovery and taking chances and without wanting they fall in love and slowly they start feeling the spark of love lighting their lives again but.... sometimes fate is kind of twisted and when they realized the reason they lost their love ones they have to realize if love really worth the risk of getting hurt again. What a beautiful story! So well written and with great characters full of life and sorrows. Such a delicious reading. I received an arc for my honest opinion.
I loved the latest book in the Lyrics of Love series. We are introduced to Jane in My Only Love as Blake’s fiancé. The book can be read as a stand-alone, but I suggest reading My Only Love First.
I really loved the hero, Harry, in this book. He is just fun character. He is spontaneous and a total sweetheart. He has known heartbreak in his past which makes him drawn to Jane. Although the way they initially get together as friends by touring Europe is a bit of a stretch as far as being believable it flows, because of the whole reason Jane is in Europe.
Jane is trying to reinvent herself or just find a way to live again without Blake. You can feel her pain, but also her joy as she starts to live again. The whole plot of the book is original and wonderfully written. The music soundtrack is my favorite in the series (so far). I may have said that about other music tracks in this series, but the music aspect adds a wonderful dimension to the stories.
And the ending.....it’s fabulous! (I received an ARC for my honest review). I can’t wait for the next book!!
Jane needs to live again. After losing her husband on her wedding day she is been surviving. She travels to England to say goodbye to Blake. She has a list of things to do. Can a stranger help her achieve her goals while traveling all around Europe? They connect in an amazing way but can they have a chance of a future together with some many things between them? Harry and Jane are meant to be if they are brave enough to fight for their happiness.
4.5 stars. Wow, this was such an incredible, beautiful, heart wrenching story about learning to love after loss. Even though this is the 8th in this series, it’s the first time I’ve ever read anything by this author and I can confidently say that I will be looking for the rest of this series; I loved that it was an adult but spice-free romance, and I especially loved the unique and detailed symbolism of music in the story. As a music-lover myself, that part really touched me!
Now for the story itself. Jane and Harry were so perfect for each other. I loved how it started, a spontaneous trip around Europe. Both of them on their own journeys of healing, then finding one another and realising that it’s okay to love again, that you can have space in your heart for more than one person…it’s beautiful and it was written so well and so tastefully. Jane’s story broke my heart, and so did Harry’s. I love that they healed together. Not that they healed each other, but that they healed side by side. And aside from all the deep, meaningful healing, the romance was just adorable and I loved how clearly you could see their love for one another. Especially Harry; he raised my standards astronomically after all the sweet things he did for Jane!
I also loved the side plot with Brandy. That was really sweet.
Now why didn’t this book get 5 stars? Well, the big plot twist, while it made my jaw drop, felt a little bit too convenient. Also the pacing of Jane and Harry’s relationship felt a bit rushed at times.
All in all though, it was beautiful and I am so glad I read this!!
I loved the latest book in the Lyrics of Love series. We are introduced to Jane in My Only Love as Blake’s fiancé. The book can be read as a stand-alone, but I suggest reading My Only Love First.I really loved the hero, Harry, in this book. He is just fun character. He is spontaneous and a total sweetheart. Jane is in mourning and goes on vacation to cross off items on a list she wrote to find herself . On her trip she meets Harry and he helps her do the things in the list. This is a sweet romance with lots of feeling. It is the second time I have read the novel I enjoyed it so much.
Halfway through the book I realized something mind blowing. I wasn’t sure how it was going to turn out but this story of tragic loss & heartbreak turned around for perfect. This series really does have the best HEAs.
