The only way he’ll agree to the story about the great and reclusive writer, D. B. Carter is if I agree to spend the week with him.
He thinks that the reason that I left is that I don’t want him. Nothing could be from the truth.
He thinks I was insulted. He’s wrong.
I have a fire in my body that burns just for him.
Still, I leave.

He shouldn’t have asked for something like that. All that it did was push me away.
But I have to write this story to save my job.
It won’t be published for a while and I’ll have time to convince him to go on the record.
At least, that’s what I think.
But then the article comes out and he shows up at my house.
He’s angry.
I’m mad.
What happens when that fire between us starts to ignite?
What happens when he pulls me close and doesn’t let go?

god save me from stupid heroines

I could DNF but as I had all three books on audio I guess I was committed to it

IMO this was bad with the wishy-washy heroine I couldn't stand by this point I was over it and then the betrayal she did regarding the job and the journalistic piece she did, holy shit it was painful to be in her head

All the Secrets, by Charlotte Byrd. Well alrighty now. This is the second book to this series and it has me very much intrigued. I’m not saying that I was not intrigued after reading the first book, but this one has me salivating to read the next book. Wow, what a emotionally stimulating romance novel.
Charlotte’s writing is so easy to read. She definitely knows how to reach out to readers and get them to read her books. I for one absolutely love the realism to the plot. Having that and some intense drama combined together, really provided me with a entertaining book to read. The story has a fast pace to it, but I felt like it had everything that the plot needed to make the book all the more scintillating to read.
Charlotte also provided the story with information that her readers needed to understand the background story to her characters. This information was very detailed, but I believe that there is a point to this mechanism that will bring more things to light later on in the series. All the mystery and romance surrounding Liam, and Emma’s need to find out who Liam is; is a fresh avenue for me when reading a romance novel. I liked the give and take, along with the push and pull between the main characters. It certainly did help inflate the mystery, as well as the drama for me.
Charlotte kept the focus of the book on Liam and Emma, which I liked. I think because of the other characters written in the story, Charlotte gave them smaller roles in the background. I came to this conclusion because I figure Liam and Emma’s story is so important. And as the story progresses, it will only become more intense and passionate in the future. I will say this. As I was reading this book, Emma was getting on my nerves just a little bit. I know that it was to add more intense drama to the story, but I was saying to Liam in my head, “bruh, you just got to cut yo losses and go”! To me this romance story is an exciting read and I’m all the more excited to know what happens next in the world of Liam. I recommend this book with two snaps and a, twist. Until next time my fellow readers...read on! I voluntary reviewed this ARC after receiving a free gifted

3.75 stars--ALL THE SECRETS is the second instalment in Charlotte Byrd’s contemporary, adult ALL THE LIES erotic, romantic suspense series focusing on journalist Emma Scott, and recluse Liam Parish.

NOTE: If you have not read book one there may be spoilers in my review.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Liam and Emma) ALL THE SECRETS picks up immediately after the events of book one ALL THE LIES in which our heroine is researching a story about paranormal romance writer DB Carter but the trail leads to recluse Liam Parish, a man whose secrets run dangerous and deep. When Liam offers information about DB Carter, for a price, Emma struggles between head and heart knowing that whatever information he offers, may be some form of a lie.

ALL THE SECRETS is a revealing and intriguing story line; an edgy and imaginative tale of secrets and lies, betrayal and heart break. The premise is dramatic and engaging; the romance is spicy; the characters are intense but saying that I am struggling with the heroine’s lack of ethics and attitude, and her determination to destroy a man who is trying to remain behind the scenes, and off the radar. She is too trusting where it concerns bosses and friends, and in this, deception and betrayal are about to come full circle.

I loved this book!!! This is the second book in the All The Lies series! This book is not a stand alone. It continues Liam and Emma's story. These two are destined to be together. They do not have an easy go of it though. There are multiple obstacles in their way. Liam has secrets that he won't share with Emma. What is it that he is hiding? Why can't he share it/them with her? She wants to know everything about him! Is it personal or only for her job? What will happen next? The are both determined, stubborn and use to getting what they want. What are they willing to do to get what they want? Is it to far? No spoilers! Check it out and see for yourself. I read this book straight thru. I had to know what was going to happen next! I can not wait to get the next book!

The second book of the All the Lies series has tons of twists and turns as the plot thickens. This book picks up where book one ends so make sure to read All the Lies first. This is the continuation of Liam and Emma's story and it is very suspenseful and dramatic. You want to read the book late into the night to figure out what will happen. Of course, it ends in a cliffhanger. So if you don't like cliffhangers you may want to wait for the whole series to be out to read the series. I am looking forward to reading more about their story. This is a good series.

I voluntarily wrote this review from reading an advanced copy of this book.

Liam and Emma continue their dance around the truth. Emma continues to disappoint. Liam continues to be gullible (or stupid). Ends in a cliffy. Another quick read. Not really worth the money for the book series but it does leave some intrigue to pull you to the next book.

This is the second book in the series and I do recommend reading them in order. Emma and Liam’s story continues. Emma promised Liam she wouldn’t never publish his story but she does it anyway to save her job. When the article is printed, Liam is angry and shows up at her house. Is she in danger, what will happen with the intense chemistry between them? Fast-paced read with loads of drama and twists and turns. I was hooked from beginning to end and can’t wait for more. I loved it.

I really enjoyed the first book and was looking forward to continuing the story. However, I ended up DNF this book which was a shame as I wanted to find out what secret Liam was hiding. I read up to the bit where her story just published and she's gone home to find Liam waiting for her in her apartment.

The reason why I stopped there was because we're told numerous times that Emma is independent, she doesn't take handouts from her mega-rich parents and wants to make it on her own. Also, it from book one, she seems to have quite a good moral compass. This is why I don't believe that she would lie and say she got Liam's story 'on the record' and therefore publish the article, esp as she knows this is just such a bad, unethical thing to do.

Also, we're told that Corrin hates her guts, but suddenly she's nice to her and that she doesn't hate her or jealous because of Alex?

I just don't know and Liam's mystery alone was not enough to keep me reading this.

I think I'm in the minority for not liking or finishing this book. I really wanted to like it.

All the Secrets by Charlotte Byrd continues where All the Lies left off, this is a fast paced story that is full of excitement and plenty of drama and intrigue. This gripping suspenseful story picks up when Emma refuses Liam's offer to stay with him for a week. Emma is at times annoying as she is so intent on saving her job that she is willing to write her story without Liam's consent even if she knows it is the wrong thing to do. If only she would learn that her meddling in Liam's life is about to put both of them in danger as she doesn't have all of the facts relating to who he really is and she is about to cause a catalytic effect that will destroy not only Liam but herself. Between the rough start they have trusting each other, they are both keeping secrets. The sexual chemistry between them can longer be denied, as they begin a relationship that is full of emotion and passion. Can Liam who is living this solitary life be able to trust Emma enough to tell her the truth or will he lose his heart in the process? When Emma probes into Liam's personal belongings, she finds out something about Liam and instead of talking to him she runs away and won't answer his calls. Now she is determined to get to the truth so she starts her investigation by reaching out to others who know who Liam really is. Emma finds she is torn as she starts writing but knows she can't use this information. When Liam tracks her down again he tells her about his life and only some of the danger regarding testifying against his Uncle and why he was given a new identity but he never told her how powerful his Uncle really is. When she accuses him of not being D.B. Carter he storms out and Emma asks him to forgive her when he proves to her he is telling the truth. With her interference a chain of events is about to erupt when her best friend gives her rough draft to her boss.

When Liam learns another story has been released about his life, he now has to leave it all behind as he life is in danger from the men who are after him . Liam is faced with a decision that when he leaves he has to protect Emma as they will be after her also. Will Emma leave with Liam? Will Liam finally confess everything to Emma? Once again Charlotte Byrd has a way of pulling her readers into every story she writes and All the Secrets is another example in this amazing series. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book. With all of the twists and turns, secrets and lies you will be kept in suspense with a cliffhanger that will have you screaming needing to know what is going to happen next to Liam and Emma. Can't wait for the next book in this amazing series.

I love, love this book! This is the second book in the All the Lies trilogy. Emma and Liam’s story continues in this suspenseful romance. This is a suspense filled romance story with twists and turns that were really unexpected. This story is an emotional rollercoaster as we ride every high and hit the withdrawal symptoms that the characters endures. I was enthralled and captivated from start to finish. Emma thinks she is visiting DB Carter, but she finds out that Liam lives there. Liam gives Emma information about him, and Emma promises Liam that she would not print the story. Because Emma’s boss threatens to fire her if she does not get a story, Emma does something unconscionable that a journalist would never do if someone says it is “off the record”—Emma prints the story about Liam/DB Carter in order to save her job. Can Liam trust Emma after she printed the story? Is Liam the real DB Carter? Romance is the last thing on Liam’s mind. Although Liam can’t afford to bring Emma in his fucked-up life, but he can’t stop thinking about the sassy, fiery, and beautiful obstinate woman—Emma. Outside forces are conspiring against him. When danger draws closer, and secrets are revealed, will Liam’s feelings for Emma survive? Liam and Emma’s unexpected attraction to each other is so intense, but the chemistry like the one they have can only be denied for so long. Their journey is full of deception, hurt, trust, and lies. They will fascinate you and frustrate you at the same time. You will want to read this book to find out what happens to Liam and Emma and the secret Liam is hiding? This book ends with a cliffhanger. I can’t wait to read the next book. Charlotte Byrd’s books will be salacious with an engrossing love story, interesting plot lines centered on romantic ideas and dialogues with strong conflicts, artfully developed main characters, and they will keep you intrigued.

This is book two in The Lies Series and it continues Liam and Emma's story. Emma has tried to get Liam to give her a story after finding out who he is but he gave her a ultimatum so she walked away but now she had to do something or else she will loose her job and her independence. Liam has so many secrets but he can't tell Emma or anyone else as it could put him and then in danger. When Emma and Liam spend time together there chemistry and connection is off the charts but will it be enough with all the secrets surrounding them and where will it all end. Omg this series is just getting better and better and I couldn't put this book down as I had to see what would happen next and it is so addictive and what a cliff hanger ending. This is not a standalone book you will need to read book one first to get the story but you will not be disappointed as Charlotte Byrd is an amazing author and writer and all her books are definitely worth reading and I can't wait to read the next book in this amazing series.

More lies...

Good grief that was a roller coaster! I sort of knew Liam was hiding something but NOT that! I finally connected the dots when Emma started listing all the things. The ending though... why the cliffhanger... lol I'm going straight to the next book to finish.. I NEED to finish now.
U like the first book in the series, this one didn't have a slow point. It did have lots of information that you need to keep in mind. Like Shelby... know now that she is a friend from work with Emma. I lost her for a moment and then had to add it up again really quick in my head. Also, I was pleasantly surprised with Emma's mom reaction in this book. I hated that woman in the first one, but this one I seemed to like more. Lol
Overall, great book. Now to go ahead and get to book 3!!!

All the Secrets (All the Lies Book 2)

All big bunch of nothing, around and around it goes. Emma is confused trying to make out the real story as a reporter. So far she has made a lot of people angry. The most important person, the one she is trying so hard to get the real story from, is really angry about what she has written off of the record! What is going to happen next? I am extremely excited about what is going to happen next. Writing something that could endanger her author is terrible. Her ex needs to stay away from her and her family, he cheated on her and now the wedding is off! She is no longer confused over what her ex did to her. She has moved on! The final book will be incredible interesting and I really looking forward to reading it. ENJOY!!

This is the second book in the All the Lies series and it is not a standalone. It is an electrifying, fast-paced read so get ready… Emma needs Liam’s story or she is at risk of losing her job. Liam is not willing to give Emma his story because that will put her in danger. Ms. Byrd has done an amazing job with this book as there are so many twists and turns you will not be able to put it down. From the characters to the storyline itself, you will get hooked into this complex web that the author has weaved. I cannot wait to delve into the next installment of this series. I volunteered to read a copy of this book.

Their Chemistry is strong and sexy and the secrets are deep and dangerous.
It had me gripped and on the edge.
Charlotte Byrd's writing is so compelling she constructs a tale that makes you want more.

OMGOODNESS!!!!! I could not put this book down!! Emma and Liam pulled me in in the first book and just continues with All the Secrets. The chemistry is off the charts; however, they are both holding back. New secrets have been revealed to Emma, by her journalism snooping and she is more confused about who is Liam. Liam is hiding who he is to keep the ones he loves safe. The secrets start to come out and it puts Emma and Liam in a tense situation. The problem is they are unable to stay away from each other. I did not want this book to end and I am waiting on the edge of my seat for book 3. You MUST read this series. Once again Charlotte did not disappoint.

This is book 2 in All the lies series, and wow the chemistry and suspense is off the charts, I literally shouted "NO" when I got to the end, I need more of this series, it is gripping and a brilliant storyline it has you on the edge of your seat.

This book continues where All the Lies finishes, we find out more about Liam and Emma, how publishing her article could put them both in danger, but she didn't know that when she wrote it and still doesn't know the full extent of Liam's lies and secrets, even if they are only to protect them both.

I loved this book and cant wait for book 3.

Well, the plot thickens. I am enjoying Liam and Emma’s story so much. The second book in the All the Lies series picks up where the first one left us. You have to read book one before this one. There are so many twists and turns throughout this addition. The storyline is dramatic, suspenseful, sexy, and intriguing. I didn’t like Emma very much because of her betrayal of Liam. There’s a cliffhanger in this one, as was in the first. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next time. This review is based on a complimentary pre-release copy from the author

I love Charlotte's books, they are filled with twists and turns page after page that will keep you on edge. This second book will reveal more secrets with Emma and Liam. Charlotte knows how to reel you in and hook you. What are her books without suspense, drama and sexy happenings which this one has. A must read and I can't wait for the next book and see what else is in store for us. I don't disclose anything because I want you to read it and find out for yourself.

I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book

This plot and dialogue is tedious. To have the acclaim s I've read about her,I hope the next book improves. I'm always trying new authors and my next one depends on book 3 if I stick with her. I did relate to the chapters about "Liam" s writing and keeping readers. Fit me to a T. I only switch to try new authors when my favorite ones have nothing new or they are over priced. I'm a die hard old paperback reader who's family taught her a new way to read with gifting me my first Kindle reader. I still go to second hand sources for old school reading.

This book continues Liam and Emma's story and you must read book one, All The Lies before you start this book. As things pick up you can expect tons of drama, intense emotion, twists, secrets, heat, danger and suspense. This brilliantly crafted tale and its compelling characters are enticing and so addicting. Do try to prepare for the stunning cliffhanger that looms at the end of this book and the wait for book three. I'm electing to post a forthright review.

Liam and Emma’s continues in the thrill ride that is All The Secrets. This book has everything, it’s smoldering with suspense. There is no one that does serialized romance as ell as Ms. Byrd. I most appreciate how timely her serials are...makes for a less steep cliffhanger. While I can walk and chew gum at the same time, I made the mistake of walking and reading and literally hit a wall. I was fortunate enough to receive an arc of this book for a fair and honest review.

Liam is definitely not who he says he is, and the more Emma digs into him, with help from her ex-fiance the more she realises the truth! The problem is, there is so much unsaid and unknown, and what she doesn’t realise is they could possible both be in danger if the truth comes out. So, why does one of the few people she trusts let her down in the biggest way possible, and can Liam save them both?

A great story with lots of twists and turns, it does end on a cliffhanger.

OMG I want to slap Emma! How stupid and selfish can one person be, I just wanted to scream at her no no no! The best thing Liam can do is run away from her as fast as he can! I’m really hoping she can redeem herself in the next book, not holding my breath though!

This actually proves just how good Charlotte is at writing and getting all our emotions going! 😳

OMG, that cliffhanger, why oh why oh why, what type of friends does Emma have?

Liam surely has a lot of making up to do after some truth or is it secrets come to light, unfortunately for Emma she set a ball rolling that cant be stopped and the consequences are clearly out of there hand.

Eagerly looking forward to Jan as we have been left on tenterhooks, just love it.

Soooo.... this story has me all over the place. I both love and kind of don't like Emma. Their story is progressing well and I am loving it so far. Liam is full of mystery and I'm guessing this and guessing that, and anxious to see where his story goes. I don't want to say too much, but just be prepared to be at the edge of your seat.

I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
