When Simon Weber left Maine for Grayson Falls, New Hampshire, he never expected the move to be permanent. A successful web designer, image was Simon’s life. He had a very specific idea of his dream girl in his head. She would be put together, spotless, the quintessential girly-girl. Then he met Maggie Dalton.
As Willis-Reilly Racing’s lead engineer, Maggie was singularly focused on one thing. Work. Her fingertips were stained, and she wore engine grease on her face like other girls wore blush. Her life consisted of work and sleep. When Simon Weber comes to work for WRR her work-life cycle is thrown into chaos.
Experience the wonder of falling in love as two introverts’ worlds collide and their new relationship is tested when tragedy strikes. Revved is fun, witty, sexy, and romantic. Written in K. Bromberg’s Driven World, this sweet story will hit you right in the feels.

This story is a breath of fresh air. The male lead is not an alpha, and the female lead isn't sassy , they are just two workaholics who love what they do . They don't really have friends that they go out and socialise with , but they both have families that are their rock .
Simon and Maggie have an innocence about them , what you are is what you get . They are polar opposites , but there attraction, when they first meet each other , knocks them both off their feet .
This is such a heartwarming story , and yes , be prepared to shed a tear .
Simon takes one look at his new company's chief engineer, and he's smitten. She's the opposite of his normal sophisticated type, but she's a goddess with messy hair and a grease stain on her face.
Maggie doesn't have a whole lot of experience with men. She works, a lot, she hangs with her brother, and that's it. So when Simon worms his way into her world, she's unsure how to take it. Until he needs her. Then she takes charge of caring for him. Will she get her heart broken if he has to move back to his hometown? Or can they find a way to keep their worlds intertwined?
I LOOOOVE this story. Maggie and Simon are a study in contrasts, but make for a fascinating couple with intense chemistry. I love the way she seamlessly slid into his world, and I love the way Simon stuck up for her when she needed it the most. And I absolutely adore that ending scene - it's funny, it's sweet, and heartfelt, the perfect way to end their awesome story.
I'm not sure if A.M. plans on writing more stories about these characters, but I sure hope so because I definitely want one about Maggie's brother *HINT HINT*
This is the first book in the Driven Series I've read and now I will have to read all the others too. Simon is a successful web designer, who lives in Maine with his Mom and helps take care of his nephews when is brother is working. He is offered a job in New Hampshire about a 3 hour drive away but is very torn on leaving his family but decides to go and check it out. Even being an introvert, Simon has a clear idea of what his dream girl would be, a girly girl. When he goes into Willis-Reilly Racing to meet his new boss, he sees this very put together, sexy lady but nothing hits him. And then he meets Maggie, oh boy! She is the farthest thing from a girly girl but he is smitten right away. Maggie is the lead engineer, the one every company wants! She has engine grease on her face, hands, wears steel toed boots and is treated like one of the guys and that's ok, until she meets Simon. She's also an introvert so it's fun seeing how they act around each other. There are some twists, parts where I cried and also laughed out loud. I enjoyed this book.
Simon loves his family but he needs to spread his wings. Maggie loves playing around with what some may consider boy toys. Between the two of them you’ll have plenty to chuckle at.
Loved how the author created two characters that seemed to be at the opposite end of the spectrum. How was she going to show any type of romance between two people that didn’t seem to have anything in common as well as fighting any type of attraction. They seemed like people who had no clue about the other.
I’ve not read any work by this author before and I think this was a good introduction. And my future with this author was solidified after enjoying the ending of this book. It takes a lot to get me to laugh and I just couldn’t help myself. Looking foward to seeing if she has something else out there that will get my funny bone itching.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Simon Weber be still my heart. I wish more men were like him. He's successful, loves his family, and will do what every he can for them. Simon decides it's time to move and start his life and what better way then with a racing team. He loves his job and knows what he likes. When he meets Maggie the woman who is a workaholic and loves to design cars and race them. These two have an instant attraction and can't deny it. But they work together and know what could happen with you have an office romance. However these two character cracked me up. Not to mention I feel in love with Maggie. I mean who wouldn't she designs race cars and loves to be behind the wheel. Can these two get through working together, a concussion, and a race car? Loved this story.
First off, yes, I, like so many, love K. Bromberg's Driven series, and while the Driven World books have glimpses and connections to Colton and other characters, the books are meant to expand the world and tell other stories...
Caveat time. Growing up, racing, in all its forms, took center stage as the sport we watched and attended live. I attended my first open wheel race at the age of three, and to this day, the sounds and smells st the track are amongst my favorite things. I love it. Driven was the first book I read which lent authenticity to racing romance, and it added to the story in ways that worked but didn't overwhelm. And that also means my expectations for any story involving racing are pretty high. Plus, this is a pretty daunting world to dive into!
Maggie is an engineer for the team her dad worked for, once owned by her racing idol. She loves cars, designing them, and has big dreams. Not just in stock car racing, but Le Mans, and big dreams take money, and people who believe in you. Her hands are dirty, and she's often a hot mess.
Simon, the cool 'hipster', lives with his widowed brother and helped raise his nephews until getting a web design job hours away for the same team Maggie works for.
Where he sees Maggie for the first time, who is nothing like his usual type, and instantly falls for her, fast and hard. Literally. As in a concussion. He's sweet, and supports her without fail.
I loved Simon's family, and how he loved his nephews. In fact, some of the best parts of the story are the relationships the characters have within their families. Maggie and her brother? Heart melting!
But, maybe insta love doesn't work for me, because while I liked the two of them together, but I'm an angst, no matter how little, kinda girl.
Sweet moments with a bit of steam.
As a fan of auto racing, I definitely look at those things much more closely, and am critical about...the artistic license is something I reminded myself about a few times, but for most readers, barely noticeable.
The author wrote Colton and Beckett's interaction in a way which felt like coming home, and the warm, swoony feelings were definitely there during their appearance. Fans of Driven will not be disappointed!
I'm a huge fan of the author, and her honesty. Her author's note at the end is sweet, and mindful.
Simon had me hooked right away being the favorite Uncle, I loved that. Maggie was my heroine I wanted to be a car mechanic growing up in my Grandpa's repair shop I thought was the coolest thing ever! When I learned to drive I wanted to race so the driven series has had me hooked. I'm trying to not be overly critical of the expanding world but all the authors are really doing an amazing job. I think I would maybe have liked a little more cat and mouse but I'm certainly not going to complain. ☺️ The family aspect of this story was something I also really loved. There were definitely some laughs and some tears (tragedy strikes and I won't give anything away but this book will hit all your feels) and overall the book fits very well into the Driven World.
Revved by the talented A. M. Mahler is set in the Driven World created by K. Bromberg. The story is charming, captivating and action packed and from the very first page you are instantly drawn into the world!
Simon and Maggie? Perfection. From their very first meeting, I was ready and eager for every single interaction between the two of them, regardless of the duration of it.
And that spark? I loved how it was woven into the story. And I want it too! Added another beautiful layer to the story!
I LIVE for their adorable quirky awkwardness! I love that they are unapologetic in who they are and what they need, but also in being there for one another no matter what happens.
There are definitely some moments that may or may not require tissues, but then a few pages later I sitting there grinning like crazy again, and it was worth the emotional rollercoaster ride of a journey to experience it all!
P. S. I need Jamie's story! And Jesse's. And everyone else! The secondary characters are simply wonderful in this book!
This is the perfect opposites attract story. Maggie is a true workaholic. She's all about her job with Willis-Reilly Racing. She's doesn't have time to date and to be honest, she doesn't have much experience with men. Simon is hardworking and knows what he wants and that would be Maggie. She's so different from the type of woman Simon would normally be with, but I think that intrigues him even more. These two were so perfect together. Simon stood up for the woman he was falling for just when she needed it and Maggie was there for Simon when he needed her most.
I love getting to see a different side to a world I love more than anything. Driven is one of my favorite series. Getting to see the world from another author's eyes is so enjoyable. I'm new to A.M. Mahler, but I love her work. I can't wait for more from this author.
Revved is another book set in the Driven World created by K.Bromberg.
Revved is written by the talented @ammahlerauthor . From the first page it grabs your attention! Maggie has known nothing her whole life, other than the racing life. She now designs cars for the man her family has worked with since childhood. She's not your typical girly girl. Being comfortable in a pair of yoga pants, a tank and grease under her finger nails.
Simon also is not as he appears. He always dresses in high end designers, and is extremely professional in dressing.
What seems like Two complete opposites on the outside, seem to fit as their personalities and interests are mostly the same.
There was such a spark with them from the get go. You get to know them. And watch as Maggie helps Simon through a truly horrible time in his life that only brings them closer.
This book was an emotional roller-coaster I lost count how many kleenex I went through 😆.
Enjoyed watching their story develop. Definitely suggest this if your looking for HEA.
Maggie is following in her family’s footsteps and racing is her life. She is more comfortable with engines rather than people so her feelings for her new co-worker have her conflicted and confused.
Simon couldn’t be more different from Maggie or more attracted to her. She works with her hands while he works with his keyboard, he could be found on the cover of GQ while she could be found on the cover of Popular Mechanics and the only thing they have in common is their close relationship with their family.
Their interactions are both humorous and hot as they show how two opposites couldn’t be a better match.
This book was a quick, light read full of steam and emotion, but the only complaint I had was the Insta-love factor. I like my romances with more slow burn and angst, but that's just me. However, I can't deny how adorable Maggie and Simon are together! I loved the relationship both of them had with their family members!!
I will definitely be on the lookout for more from this author!
**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!**
It was fun seeing Simon fall for someone so outside his idea of what his perfect woman would be like. He and Maggie were great together and the story kept me interested to see their HEA. The author did a nice job blending one of her own series with the Driven World, too. Though I hadn't read her books before, I didn't feel like I was missing anything.
Thank you to the author for providing an ARC for an honest review.
Two different people ending up finding exactly what they need in each other. It was actually funny how Simon had an idea of his perfect girl and Maggie throws that out the window. The chemistry was amazing and I found myself smiling at their interactions.
I love the Grayson Falls series, and this book brought new characters to the adorable little town with many of the familiar characters we already know! The tragedy in middle ripped my heart out, and the ending left me wanting more. I really want to know how the race goes!
This book was amazing, I really enjoyed it. I loved Maggie and her personality, she was such a strong woman and I admired her so much for that. And Simon, I more than loved him, he was such a good guy. I loved them as a couple and their unique story
Revved is the first book that I have read by A.M. Mahler and it definitely won’t be the last!
Simon & Maggie captivated me from the first page and I couldn’t put down their story. Simon & Maggie’s journey was in no way an easy one, but worth it in the end.
Amazing! I loved how seamlessly AM Mahler blended Bromberg’s Driven characters into her Grayson Falls world. This book was by turns funny and sweet, and emotional and real. I especially loved how Maggie and Simon supported each other, and I laughed out loud at some of the sibling interactions.
Wow this book! I've not read anything by this author, or anything else in the Driven World but this worked as a stand alone. You can guess who some of the other books are about, but you don't feel lost. This story is going along, Simon and Maggie are adorable, then BOOM! And you can't stop reading to see how it all ends up. Unbelievable, but so good. I cried but was still able to laugh at the end. It was a pretty beautiful story actually
This was a 4.5 ⭐️ read Simon has always pictured the perfect woman I his mind... and it’s definitely not Maggie. BUT... she is everything he wants. Talk about instant attraction! These two are complete opposites but the chemistry between them is HOT. Can two workaholics finally find time for love? One thing these two did have in common was their love and commitment to family. Simon has always looked after everyone... what happens when Simon is the one to need the TLC? This book was fun, witty and also very romantic. I also might have shed a tear. This is my first book from A.M Mahler and I enjoyed the way she wrote. T was well written with characters you could invest in. Another great addition to the Driven World. I was given an ARC but voluntarily chose to review
Simon and Maggie’s instant attraction to each other didn’t pump the brakes when tragedy struck Simon’s family. Maggie stepped up to show how much her feelings ran deep and never left his side as his protector. Even tho HER initial protector, Jesse, wasn’t too happy, his respect grew once he saw how much Simon believed in Maggie. I’m getting into the racing world like never before. This one made me feel like I was at the track and in the pit with them!! Even with the tragedy, this one kicked butt!!
I received a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
When I realised that there were more books in The Driven World and by other authors I jumped in. Simon is not the Alpha male that we get from Colton in TDW and I was totally fine with that as Simon was a completely different type of man with his own story. I loved how he was such a family man when it came to his own family and then to be thrown in the deep end as it was when it came to his nephews was heartbreaking. Now Maggie she was a totally different kettle of fish. To me Maggie was the lead in this novel and Maggie is our link to the world of racing. I seriously love when two people in a book find themselves drawn to each other straight away and know it, then the story is about how they get it to work. I loved how it was set in a small town and we are inroduced to other characters I hope continue on in other stories. Marcus made my heart break, imagine loss at such a young age, and not only once but twice. But there is also humour an moments when I rolled around on the floor. especially Simons "trip' upon seeing Maggie in her office lol. This was my first read by A.M. Mahler and I look forward to catching up on some of her other books. So onto more books in TDW. So pleased Colton made an appearance, and so glad he did not have wandering eyes, even if he is married and still a man as quoted in the book. Sorry mate Colton is a one woman man lol.
If you love the Driven world, you’ll love this... Simon takes a job that has him leaving his family. They are a very close family that has experienced loss, they have deep roots where they live, he still with his mother. This book takes you through a journey that has you on the edge of your seat of what will come next. I loved the development of his relationship and what it becomes, you won’t be disappointed- when you pick this up.
Such a great read! Simon and Maggie captivated from the first page until the very last. Simon is a web designer and lives with his family in Maine. When offered a three hours a way from his family, he’s reluctant to leave, but decides to check it out. Maggie is an engineer working for a racing team and doesn’t have much experience when it comes to men. When Simon and Maggie meet there’s an instant attraction between them. I really loved the interactions between Simon and Maggie. It’s a beautiful story and one I really enjoyed.
