What I love about Carol Storm's special romance novels for Blushing Books is that you know you're always going to get a good story, tons of passion and some naughty spankings -- but the settings and stories are always so different! This collection features two full-length novels, plus a special trilogy of three short stories about three best friends. The whole thing is an incredible bargain and so much fun!
Love Beyond Time is a really cosmic love story, set on another planet. Polly is an archaeologist and she finds an ancient warrior who isn't really dead -- he's just been sleeping for centuries, put under a spell by an evil witch. But this Sleeping Beauty wakes up with more than kisses on his mind!
Merit's Reward is like one of those stuffy, sleepy novels you always see at the library, about a fancy, classy, stuffy old businesswoman who runs her family business and is always boss. But this story is different, because our woman of substance has a weakness for motorcycles, much younger men, and being spanked on her naughty bottom right in her own office! Merit and Vic make a lovely couple and there are some real surprises along the way.
My favorite part of this collection was definitely Unexpected Dreams. That's because it's three totally separate short stories about three girls who are best friends and go on vacation together. Only when they fall asleep in the jungle in the shadow of a stone idol, they each dream about a separate adventure and experience a life-changing journey! Someone ought to tell Carol Storm that this story is really a lot like Picnic At Hanging Rock -- except with tons of humor and a happy ending for all. That's what I love about Carol Storm, and romance novels in general!

Love Beyond Time 3*
Polly is an archaeologist with her father on another planet. She falls in the tomb of Jaded Panther and wakes him. He is waiting to be woken by Night Flower and help him bring his world back to life. But Night Flower has gone to the dark and is trying to stop him before he can succeed. Polly will be the one to help him. There is a HEA.
Merit's Reward 3*
Merit is a powerful business woman in her 40's. Vic is a young man that is having a problem with the mob. They meet when Vic's motorcycle nearly hits Merit's horse. He is hurt and stays at Merit's until he is better. They are attracted to one another. Vic is in charge in the bedroom and Merit is in charge everywhere else. Vic feels a need to prove himself to Merit. They have a HEA as well.
Unexpected Dreams 3*
Itzapoca was worshiped as a Mayan god. He calls Clarissa, Alexandra and Brandy to him. He sends them to sleep and has them dream. Alexandra dreams that she is a captain on a ship that is on a mission to get roots and flowers that will help cure the plague on a different world. The planet has been off limits for the past 50 years. She transports down and meets Midnight Thunder who believes that a woman's place is in the hut. They have a few days of fun and then Alexandra goes back to her ship. The next dream is Brandy's. Brandy is a jewel thief and she is caught by C.C. Ryder who wants to get the jewels back. He takes her to an island in Maine. They eventually have a HEA. The last dream is Clarissa's.

Lots of fun and easy breezy to read. If you’re into light-hearted romance with smatterings of sex and dynamic interplay between male/female couples, then you’ll love this set of stories. My personal favourite is Unexpected Dreams, where Carol explores different genres while her girls dream away under an ancient god - we get to have some adventures in space and Roman Britain, of all places, and it is unexpected (just like the title) and energetic! The other two novellas work well too - Love Beyond Time is a longer sci-fi but in a more old-fashioned 1980s pulpy vein, and Merit’s Reward has that Mills and Boon vibe with a powerful, kind of straight-laced woman engaging with a wilder man. All three stories here are linked by their trilogy title ‘At His Command’ - perhaps a little misleading as the women do have more of a role than it implies!
Overall, though, exciting and very accessible to read!

The collections isn't a bad read at all. The stories move slowly but they're written completely with every sense added. The reader is comfortably but firmly put into the scenes. They're steamy without being in-your-face erotic. Or explicit. So the characterization comes out. I would recommend this set to the older set looking for action/adventure with sexy moments. Or maybe a voracious reader who enjoys all types of alphas and the women they find.

I loved the imagery that all the stories exhibited. They were all well written and had the disciplinary element. I think I liked Merit's Reward the best because you know alpha males that are bikers and the criminal element. The subject mater also touches on other elements. I was a happy reader for all three stories. Great blend of characters and places.

This was a good book. I enjoyed reading it . I am looking forward to reading more from this author. I will be buying future books. It was a well put together story with a HEA. I thought it was well written and I enjoyed the characters in this book.

A great boxset from this author. each a different story on its own. There's adventure Drama some mystery definatly some sexy dominates and fiesty submissives. Each a standalone with a HEA
