Brody
Brody Villines might just have the most recognizable face on the planet, but that doesn’t stop his band from breaking up. Upon returning home from the last show, he runs into Laney Tucker—high school sweetheart, next door neighbor, and the girl he left behind when fame came calling. Brody's made more than his share of mistakes, but that’s the one that keeps him up at night.

The moment he lays eyes on her, he knows she’ll be his again, whether she knows it or not. Some things are just meant to be.

Laney
No way in hell is Laney Tucker getting back together with the lying scumbag who traded her in for a bunch of groupies. But she's not above making him think otherwise, if only to teach him a lesson. The problem is, revenge is a dish best served cold, and Brody Villines still makes her so damn hot.

She just has to remind herself that every word of every song is a lie. No matter how right it feels to be in his arms again, some things just aren’t meant to be.

You might not guess it when you pick up your first Selena novel, but Selena is a true romantic. She writes gritty, realistic New Adult contemporary novels with characters you'll love to hate and hate to love.

If reading about teens behaving badly upsets you, steer clear because these are full of drama, angst, fighting, drugs, sex, and rock & roll. There will be times you want to throw your Kindle. There will be lying, cheating, bullying, backstabbing, violence, and hard-earned, sweet redemption for those who won't give up on love. Because life's not always picture perfect, but every heart, no matter how broken and damaged, deserves love.

Rockstar drama-rama overload. Sometimes off-key and not so melodic. I wasn't impressed with the characters -- both spoiled and childish, but after meeting the mothers, I understand why. I will say that our rockstar ended on a high note and showed he had grown into a responsible adult. Not sure about the female lead reaching a "heroine" status. The only innocent in this book is a little baby named Osceloa (yeah, they couldn't even manage a name very well!).

Stupid. Not what the blurb said. Guy cheats on main girl, she wants revenge, then forgoes the plan as she is a lusty bitch. Then the story takes a u turn and guy got teenager pregnant. Then stuck with said baby. Main girl comes back, and happy fucking ever after.

It's my first by this author and I really liked it.
Brody and Laney are neighbors who when he went off to be in a boy band she stayed home. Through lots of insecurities and miscommunication and the nature of the business he became promiscuous. I'm not sure he cheated or she let him know it was over but it was.

Now realize they are like 19 years old so this reads exactly at that maturity level. Laney is a runner so I took a star off because it's my least favorite plot device.

We see growth in their relationship and it's very satisfying. The author has a way of getting us to Kentucky under the willow with a horse nickering nearby. I'll read this author again in a heartbeat.

Not a great story, lots of errors, and a very weak h. The supposed H was not at all an H.

This book was good; however, it would've been much better if the author would have flashed back to Laney and Brody's past. I really wanted to read the backstory of how they had gotten together to begin with, and then everything that happened when Brody became famous, and they ultimately broke up. I'd recommend it because the writing was good, but only if not being able to read about their past isn't a big deal to you.

Just Sing is a romance book with Brody, the famous singer who's band "The Five Guys" has just split & Laney, the sweet, obedient girl who believed in a forever with her highschool sweetheart Brody.

The storyline is pretty good and satisfying and I'm sure I would have loved it more if Laney was more supportive. There's everything you'll want- history, pain, love, romance, chemistry and struggles in the story.
If I could add a song for this book I would add-- 'Truly Madly Deeply' by One Direction.

I couldn't understand Laney at all. One moment she wants revenge, the other she's all over Brody. She runs away whenever there's an issue, is insecure, very confused, judgy, & doesn't have a backbone. Constant complaing and having no solutions is Laney's mantra.

Initially, Brody is cocky, self- obsessed and a manwhore, but as the story continues, his personality develops.
Brody isn't perfect, but atleast he's trying. He's trying to keep the love of his life and his daughter both with him. Doing what his heart says, no matter what others say; keeping his daughter even when there's a chance of his career ending along with his relationship with Laney; protecting, loving & caring for his daughter; constantly reassuring, apologizing and professing his love to/for Laney.

I guess Laney would be happy and satisfied if there was a time machine.

Overall a good, quick read with second chance romance.

Brody Villines is a rockstar singer for the band Just 5 Guys. His band is breaking up and he is heading home to his family's Kentucky estate to rest. And hopefully to see the girl he left behind to chase fame and groupies.

Laney Tucker is the girl next door (literally), Brody's childhood friend and high school sweetheart. Having graduated from college she heads home for a short summer break. She had her heart obliterated by Brody and doesn't know he is coming home.

Trying to convince herself that she can protect her heart, Laney plans revenge, to show Brody she still loves him and then dump him. Things don't go as planned.

This couple has hot, hot sex. Their chemistry is so intense and steamy and the love returns for both of them. Can Laney stick to her plan?

This story will keep you reading. It has a fiance, groupies, a demanding band manager, a baby and a sick Grandfather. All complications in the way of happily ever after. It will have you feeling all kind of emotions as you ride along with this story. It does have a happily ever after, no cliffhanger. This is my first book by Selena but I will definitely be reading more.

Just Sing was amazing! I loved reading about Laney and Brody. Brody is a bad-boy rock star and Laney is a small town college graduate. Brody and Laney have a rocky past, and Just Sing takes us through their second chance romance. Selena’s story was inspirational and incredibly loving. Just Sing takes you on a wild adventure full of heated romance leaving you with an everlasting longing for a relationship to work out that didn’t in the past. Laney’s character is incredibly relatable as are her emotional turmoil from her relationship with Brody. We can relate to her need for vengeance, as well as her confusion for wanting to be with Brody.

The ending of the book was not one I was expecting. I love that Selena is always able to surprise me. Her stories are as good as Netflix shows! You’re definitely in for a treat.

I highly recommend this book. Again, Selena did it! It is a five star read. I hope you all loved this story as much as I did.

First, you should know that this is a just out of high school romance. Childhood best friends, Laney and Brody, are meant to be together, at least that is what they think until Brody hits it big with his Band, Just 5 guys. Laney decides it's best to let him go because it isn't easy to Your guy walking with good looking celebrities or seeing all the groupies hanging on the band members. It seems easier for her to cut ties with him. Now it comes a few years later. Laney graduated college and Brody's band is about ready to play their final show. Brody has never gotten over Laney, Laney has never gotten over Brody. But she can't just run into his arms like nothing has happened over the last few years. Eventually, she gives in, but it isn't all rainbows and butterflies. Curveballs are thrown, morals are questioned, sometimes doing what is right hurts the most. Overall, not a bad read. It feels like young adult love story, but in a way it is better than reading high school romance where they act like mature adults in their late 20s!

My first impression of Brody wasn’t good, he’s arrogant and a nasty jerk. Really the first two chapters is of stuff going through his head and again, not the stuff nice guys are made of. Maybe the fact he’s only twenty-three and a rockstar gives him the right to meanness, maybe.
I also couldn’t understand why he asked for goth girl, and why he treated her so badly. Laney was home for summer, she just finished college and had plans. When she found out Brody was home for the summer she made extra plans that included revenge. He broke her heart, cheated on her and he had to pay for that. Problem with her plan is she’s still in love with him, and engaged to someone else. To say this story is a rollercoaster ride is a gross understatement. It’s had me sad, weepy and I couldn’t put it down. I never would have guessed Brody was the better person of the two. I didn’t like the ending so I’m giving this book three stars.

Second chance MF romance .

I will say I don't really like second chance romance . But I took a shot with this . Just Sing was a cute and steamy story with a bit of heartache .

You meet Brody and Laney highschool sweet hearts first loves first everything's .

Brody get sucked into the world of the famous an makes a bad mistake leading to Laney's heartbreak ..

Fast forward a few years they meet up an Laney has a plan for revenge ... Or so she thought ..

This was a cute little story I admit I liked it for a second chance . Both H's did things I didn't like but in the end you definitely seen their growth due to circumstances in the book .
Just Sing is my first read from this author .

I loved this book so much. The heartbreak, the longing, the angst are in abundance in this beautiful second chance at love story. Brody and Laney are true love forever until he is discovered and goes off to be a rock star. Years later, he returns jaded and looking to rekindle things with Laney. This couple have so many obstacles in their way that keeps them form happiness. Is their love strong enough to weather the storm? Is Laney ready to give Brody another chance? I highly recommend this five star read. Selena is one of my favorite authors and she never fails to deliver an incredible story.

Brody and Laney have such a heartbreaking relationship. Yet full of so much love. Sweethearts growing up, but sometimes life takes us on different journeys then we planned. This book has so much angst. It was killing me. I felt for both Laney and Brody each in different ways. Yes, Brody screwed up a lot, but he realizes he's not who he wants to be. Living your life for other people really does get old. Laney has given him everything, all of her heart. Will she be able to forgive and move forward is the big question. When Brody's past comes back to bite him in the butt his true character shines through.

Just Sing by Selena is the first book in a new series, Just 5 Guys. This book is a standalone, and it's a second-chance enemies-to-lovers romance. There is flawed characters, steamy scenes and though choices. Full of angst, longing and heartbreak.

Just Sing was the first book I read by Selena, and I enjoyed reading this book. It's well written, and I liked the love story.

There is hot chemistry between the main characters. I liked how they had to grow and forgive to find happiness. I had hoped, to maybe see a little bit more of their past.

I don’t normally like second chance romances. I do like rockstar and Selena as an author so i gave this book a chance. I’m so glad I did as I haven’t been able to sit down are read a book from cover to cover in a while. Brody and Laney kept me reading to see how everything would play out. Revenge can be a beautiful thing. (Love revenge in books)
It was a great story and well written. Can’t wait to read the rest of the series. Btw this is not a RH! Just because the series is just 5 guys. Ha so don’t let that stop you. As it almost stopped me.

I loved everything about this book but I must admit that at first I did not like the H but he grew on me because he was so caring and fought for what he wanted. I love the chemistry between the main characters. The H was the main part I loved because he had so much growth in this book. Can’t wait for the second book. I absolutely love this authors writing.

I really enjoyed this book! It was a super easy read, the words just flowed, and the story was great! I didn’t know if I’d like Brady at first as he was really crass, but I ended up loving him and his character development. The only thing I didn’t like was there was a little too much sex in the book for my liking. Don’t get me wrong, I love steam, but yeah that’s my only negative!

Wow! This is my first book by Selena. Loved it!

Just Sing is a story of lost love, betrayal, hope and a love that can defy the odds. It is very well written, with likeable characters, a good plot, a few twists, and makes you feel. My heart broke, was put back together and by the end was grinning.

Very much looking forward to the next book in this series! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I actually really liked this book. I didnt know what i was getting into when i started reading this book but my goodness it has so much drama and tea and the whole lot!

This book will take you on a rollarcoaster that trust me you will enjoy! Brody and Laney were immature at times but they are young and free, it made sense and was completely excusable. Certain aspects of the book could have been wrote a tiny bit better but it was still greatly written.

i overall loved the book but some bits could have been better. hence the 4 stars. I definitely recommend this books and hope you consider reading it!

A wonderfully crafted story that pulled at my heart. The love they have with each other is beautiful but both are struggling to get past the mistakes made. He was interesting and though flawed, relatable. She was believable in her anger and emotions. I enjoyed this book.

We meet Brody and Laney. Brody broke Laney's when he left her behind after High School when he got the chance to live his rock-star dreams. They meet again when the band breaks up. What happens next is an up and down

This book was almost there. Maybe because it is a bit more realistic then most young adult books I have read recently. We do get to see their relationship in High School, and then when they meet up. It's a cute story, but overall I just couldn't get into it. Maybe it's because the story line itself is something that has been played out recently, and this just seems to fit the cookie cutter story line that is out there. It is not a bad story, and there are definitely good parts. Overall it is a cute book, and a good quick read.
