I think I enjoyed this one better than the first in the series, "Tease". It's definitely full of hot steamy sex and passion but it's better developed than the first story. I also like the female character more in this one. This is Theo and Allison's hot story! It's a story that grabs hold and does not let go. Very captivating read.

I've read several books written by Alexis Anne; she has done a great job at writing a good book; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of books her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

The amount of sex scenes in this book are over the top hot. So. Very. Hot. The plot held mystery, suspense and secrets, at times I felt the plot dragged a wee bit.

The story: The h is an architect, recently moving from the US to London; she works for a company who’s offices reside in a skyscraper that the H owns. They meet, start secretly having a “no-strings” relationship that quickly develops strings. The initial drama is that he’s a genius that goes a little nuts sometimes when he gets an idea for some kind of tech or whatever, and NEEDS to figure out how to get it on paper and bring it to life. The h makes it her mission to distract him from these almost manic episodes, and get him to relax and have fun. The story then shifts to the H’s past coming back to haunt him, which involves gangs, and being from a mob family, and escaping that life, and it’s all just very disjointed.
My thoughts:
I was hoping for more rawness in the steamy scenes; something more passionate, and playful, and adventurous (at least in the beginning, when they were JUST in it for the physical). Maybe some light BDSM. Don't get me wrong - their whole dang relationship is based on sex, but it seems like for the majority of the scenes, we got more of the mental/emotional aspects of it than the physical. And unfortunately physical aspects of the writing were just kind of okay... Probably because it was always interrupted with a bunch of talking. It just didn't quite scratch my itch. I also didn’t love the overall story arc. It seems that the writer had different ideas for the H in the first two installments, and then pivoted and decided to go in a different direction. Some of the reveals just seemed so “tacked-on”. Overall, I liked the H a lot, but didn’t really think all that highly about the h.
Heat Level: Moderate. There was a crap ton of lovin’, but it didn’t really do anything for me

Allison was the star in this mobster based romance where her confidence and strength wore down Theo and his good intentions. Determined to go after Theo despite his hot and cold behavior, Allison's passionate pursuit of Theo was persistent. Seeing more to him then he allowed, she was able to get past his walls to reveal his dangerous history.
Although Allison claimed that her feelings for Theo went beyond the intense encounters they shared, she was definitely hooked on his lovemaking skills and how he made her feel. Tons and tons of office sessions, as well as anywhere else they could get together. This was filled with their steamy romps and graphic scenes that went on and on. Definitely a naughty read.
The pacing was a bit slow for me, but as the story went on, there was a nice build and deepening of their relationship. Oh, and of course more graphic scenes ensued.
The underlying mobster drama was a good one, but some parts of the story dragged a bit.
I did love Allison's spunky personality and enjoyed when she went crazy and was up in Margaret's face when Theo revealed their relationship to her.

This excellent book is another in the Tease series. This time the focus is on Allison and Theo. Allison was briefly introduced in Tease. She was Elizabeth’s roommate in Calhoun Beach, but she was offered an Architectural sabbatical in London for six months, which Theo has extended unbeknown to her. They have an undeniable chemistry and they start off as friends with benefits. But their feelings for each other become deeper and more intense. However, Theo has a dark past from his teenage years which has caught up with him and now Allison is embroiled with it. There is even more that Theo is not telling her for fear of her never looking at him the same way again, and if Theo has discovered anything, it’s that he doesn’t want to lose Allison. But the hidden always finds a way to come to light, and is their love and chemistry strong enough to survive what’s headed their way?
Just like Tease, this is such a well written book with twists and turns that will keep you guessing. It’s a darker storyline but all of the new characters that are introduced are believable and some familiar faces from book one visit for thanksgiving ;-) Another superb book.

Theo Sutherland and Allison Riley there Romance is fiery and passionate but also filled with danger and sadness. Theo Sutherland runs his company but hides from his past and some secrets are to hard to deal with some demons are worse then others his family is wealthy but it hides ugly secrets. Then Allison stumbles into his world he can set her free or keep her and reveals his dark past. He cant let go but when his past comes back he will need to destroy it to keep Allison safe.
Allison should have walked away after that first dance but now her fate and hart are bound to Theo no matter his sins she will have to except them. Allison was set to start a new future as and architect away from family obligation and her family's cosmetic company. But now there is Theo with his dark and dangerous secrets. She will have to except that Theo is more then he seems and if she still wants him when all his secrets are finished.
This book is a rollercoaster of emotion its dark and edgy and when the last secret is revealed in the end well I cant believe I didnt see it coming.

After reading the first book in this series, I knew I just had to read the second. The author has the ability to slowly build the tension in the story to a point where it is exposed in a dramatic configuration of energy, lust and conflict. Theo was a man with a painful past, a past that was kept hidden from the public eye. His emotions were held on a tight rein until the night he met a feisty American architect who made his heart sing. This was a love story of epic proportions, one thjat almost never happened. Allison knew what she wanted from life and made sure that she got it. Her relationship with Theo was built on honesty and trust and when Theo kept part of his past hidden from her it nearly broke her, just as loosing her would break him. Their relationship was something they were both determined never to put at risk again. I eagerly await the next book in this addictive series.

If you've read Tease or my review for book 1, the author gave us more of the same in regard to a sexually fueled relationship. Every time I thought we were getting somewhere with Theo and Allison talking, they jumped into bed, on the table, or wherever else they could get down to it. I'm all for passion and hot, sweaty sex, but so far in this series, it's been a bit overwhelming. Thankfully this book had more of a story line and relationship building.
I really enjoyed the mystery behind Theo's past and how it collided with the present. It added an element of intrigue to Allison and Theo's relationship and kept me engulfed in their story. I also swoon for nerdy heroes; there's just something sexy about a genius who's a bit awkward but extremely hot.

A lot of action, lust, love and excitement in a book. This shows very briefly what you can expect when you start reading Tempt. Very intense too. The chemistry between Allison and Theo can be felt between the pages. Where the relationship between them started in the first instance from lust and sex, the writer quickly takes you into a rollercoast of emotions and you feel their relationship changing to lust and love. The sex scenes are hot, every time again. The tension keeps you sharp and makes you want to continue reading quickly. I could not put the book away and therefore I read it well into the night. This was my first introduction to the writer Alexis Anne but I am sure it will not be the last book I will read from her.

Alexis Anne creates strong characters and a titillating storyline. The main characters, Theo Sutherland-hero and Allison Riley-heroine are both from wealthy families whose parents have mapped out their lives for them. Theo builds his own business but he can’t get Out from the thumb of his detestable father. Allison on the other hand follows her heart and leaves her family business behind.
Theo is elusive but opens up to the alluring Allison. As they get to know each other Allison realizes that Theo is hiding some dark secrets. Secrets that can also bring danger to not only Theo but Allison as well.
Ms. Anne weaves a hang on to the edge of your seat thriller. But she makes you feel like you’re part of the story as you ride along with Theo, Allison and a cast of wonderful supporting characters.

Enjoyable with a mystery and twist
I have read a couple Alexis Anne books now and I have enjoyed them all with Tempt being no different. I enjoyed reading the story of Allison, Riley and Theo Sutherland, Both are from wealthy families and have their futures decided for them. But they both of them have other ideas and strike out on their own in different ways. As Allison and Theo get to know each other she quickly realizes that he is hiding something from his past. These two have a lot of sizzling chemistry and end up pressed against just about every surface available at one time or another during the book.
This was an very enjoyable story that had well developed characters, both main and a whole cast of supporting, and an interesting story-line with some mystery and intrigue to it.

Wow this story has it all
The characters are intriguing, strong, bright and independent. When they meet there is a strong attraction but they are both cautious. Theo and Allison's first meeting is on a dance floor where Allison is swing dancing. He is attracted to her and what's more than a dance. She's cautious and not interested in one night stands. Theo does not give up easily and he makes sure their paths cross again. Theo is a recluse due to many reasons including a dark past. How they work through the many challenges makes their journey clever, unexpected, unpredictable and intensely sensual. Theo's past is slowly revealed and I was definitely surprised at some of it. The depth of feelings they share and how that helps them evolve is heartwarming and heartbreaking. Loved this book and the characters, I hope you do too.

Sounds like a simple story but it's torrid and unpredictable

Good story that initially seemed a little like "Tease" from the same author, but the character of Theo, the CEO is very mysterious, with a permanent threat to his relationship with Allison, his company, not to mention that he is also passionate about his job as an inventor. Theo discovers what a real relationship is in his life, and he has to learn how to manage his time, the threats, and Allison who has empathy, but who is also quite complex.
This story is at once full of twists, steamy, romantic, unpredictable and dark.

Likable heroine but I found the Hero annoying.
Yes, he is good in bed, yes he is rich, yes, he has a large penis and knows how to use it. BUT he is secretive, he gives up his secrets like a stone is squeezing out blood. He is secretive at the beginning, secretive in the middle, and secretive towards the end when the heroine was being hunted as a result of hero's past. And even then, it was someone else who divulge the secret to heroine, not hero himself.
I am not a big fan of all these secrets, I don't think I could tolerate with a secretive person like this.

This is book two in the Tease series. Meet Theo and Allison, two very different people that connect so well. These two start off with the agreement to just sex. It is never just sex people, especially when you have found d your person. An incredibly hot and sexy story of how Theo and Allison meet, have super steamy sex and how feelings become reality and so much more. Enjoy this great read and the rise it takes you on.

I thought the book was alright. It certainly isn't my favorite from Alexis, and it was kind of a let-down after reading Tease. I felt like this book was lacking in substance other than the chemistry. While Theo was super mysterious, I just didn't really feel like I understood him or Allison, who was sometimes wishy-washy about what she wanted from Theo. There's certainly a mystery/thriller element to this book. Not my favorite couple nor her best work, but her other books make up for this one.

Tempt is the third book in Alexis Anne’s Tease series which focuses on Theo Sutherland and Allison Riley who come from similar backgrounds but one has achieved independence while the other is obligated to their family. This amazing book has dark secrets, an interesting plot, strong complex characters, mystery, suspense, mistrust, danger, violence, passion, and sizzling erotic romance. I strongly recommend this compulsive roller coaster ride of emotions.

Well-written stand-alone third book in the world of Tease. I love the brief introduction to the characters before I got into the story. The characters in this book become more than they thought the could be, and you grow to love them and want to know them more. This book had many twists and turns with some unexpected outcomes. I loved this book very much. A new favorite author and now I need to go and find more stories by this author. A must read

If you love many many sexy scenes in books, this one has a lot. Allison and Theo are explosive. I love that Allison is the one to be persistent and go after the one she wants, even if it starts as just a physical relationship. She is the one to keep going and break down his walls and it was refreshing to read.

This story is very entertaining and intriguing. It will keep you turning pages and kept surprising.
A secret ,steamy affair ,dirty and complicated, but is also a deep romance.
Theo is a bad boy with a dark history .
Allison is an amazing, she falls hard. She didn’t know about dark life. Will they stay together?

Intense - There’s a reason I added this author to my Follow list in Amazon years ago when I was reading Tease. That reason has never changed. Tempt has that same intense attraction, story depth, engrossing plot that will connect you to the characters’ emotions and will grab you up to the last page. What an amazing storyteller!

As always, I recommend you read the books in order. As mentioned in my review of the first book it took me a awhile to get into it. This book however I enjoyed a lot more. I felt like it felt realistic and real.

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Allison and Theo the chemistry was Instant, they had a great relationship hot sex, hard sex and even friendship.

This was so good. It was long and really detailed. The whole book came together at the end the way a good book is supposed to. You will not be disappointed at all when you read this book. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
